In the study school of thought, an exposure to the context of across the time boundary known as "al-fiqh al-taqdiri" is a special feature in the formation of the Hanafi sect. It is also a feature shared by other sects including the Syafie sect. The authors chose the book of "Ghiyath al-Umam" by Imam al-Haramayn al-Juwayniyy (419H-478H) for this study as the book was loaded with elements across the time compared to his other books. This study is a qualitative study and the design is document analysis. The study of Ghiyath al-Umam's book shows how far Imam al-Haramayn's imagination that has not been reflected by most of the people at his time. But some have already happened now and some might happen in the future.Keywords: civilization, futuristics, Syafie sect ABSTRAK: pengajian sejarah mazhab kita biasa didedahkan bahawa fiqh merentasi sempadan masa yang dikenali sebagai “al-fiqh al-taqdiri” merupakan ciri istimewa dalam pembentukan mazhab Hanafi. Hakikatnya dengan berlalunya zaman ia turut menjadi ciri yang dikongsi bersama oleh mazhab-mazhab lain termasuk mazhab Syafie. Untuk melihat kebenaran teori ini penulis memilih kitab “Ghiyath al-Umam” karangan Imam al-Haramayn al-Juwayniyy (419H-478H). Imam al-Haramayn merupakan antara tokoh terawal yang tersohor dalam bidang fiqh syafie dan usul al-fiqh di samping bidang ilmu kalam. Karya-karya beliau dalam bidang fiqh mazhab Syafie dan usul al-fiqh aliran mutakallimin menjadi sumber utama dalam disiplin masing-masing. Pandangan-pandangan beliau sangat berautoriti dan dinukilkan oleh para ulama muhaqqiqun seperti Imam al-Nawawiyy dalam fiqh Syafie dan Fakhr al-Din al-Raziyy dalam bidang usul al-fiqh. Justeru beliau ialah tokoh yang sangat bersesuaian untuk tujuan kajian ini. Kitab Ghiyath al-Umam dijadikan fokus kajian memandangkan kitab ini sarat dengan elemen merentasi masa berbanding kitab-kitab beliau yang lain. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif dan reka bentuknya adalah analisis dokumen. Kajian terhadap kitab Ghiyath al-Umam dapat menunjukkan betapa jauhnya imiginasi Imam al-Haramayn yang tidak tergambar oleh sebahagian besar manusia ketika itu. Namun sebahagiannya sudah pun berlaku pada masa ini dan sebahagiannya mungkin akan berlaku pada masa akan datang.Kata Kunci: peradaban, futuristik, fiqh mazhab Syafie

This study was conceptualised in order to assess the appraisal, disposal and transfer of archival records from the Mpumalanga Provincial Government (MPG) to the Mpumalanga Provincial Archives (MPA) for the period from 1994 to 2013. The study’s specific objective was to investigate the transfer process of archival records in terms of the Mpumalanga Archives Act, No. 14 of 1998. The study used a qualitative method through document analysis, interviews and observation. The sample for the study comprised the MPG and municipality records managers. The Mpumalanga provincial archivists were also interviewed as the custodians of the MPA. The key findings revealed that the MPG and the municipality did not comply with the Mpumalanga Archives Act, No. 14 of 1998 in terms of transferring records with archival value to the MPA as stipulated by the act. This has adverse implications for efficient administration of records in the country.

This study investigated, through observation of the Tshivenḓa female dress codes, the socio-cultural significance of such dress codes as a means of non-verbal communication. The non-verbal meaning embedded in different items of dresses conveys messages from the wearers to observers. The study adopted  a qualitative  design, since it used  document analysis and literature review as a means to adduce evidence that Tshivenḓa dress codes not only communicate socio-cultural meanings to the observer, but also signify gender, age group, rank, authority, status, and identity, as well as power relations—including the supernatural and the sacred. The study also revealed that there are dress codes that are specifically worn during initiation ceremonies among the Vhavenḓa people. In conclusion, we recommend that knowledge of Tshivenḓa dress codes should form part of the overall indigenous knowledge that needs to be studied in institutions of basic and higher education, and that for the sake of preserving this valuable information, communities need to be proactive in disseminating it to the younger generation.

Tindak tutur komisif merupakan salah satu aspek pragmatik yang harus diperhatikan oleh penerjemah ketika menerjemahkan teks. Hal itu dilakukan agar menghasilkan terjemahan yang berkualitas dari aspek keakuratan dan keberterimaan. Berdasarkan alasan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mendiskripsikan tingkat keakuratan dan keberterimaan terjemahan kalimat yang mengakomodasi tindak tutur komisif dengan pendekatan pragmatik. Data yang digunakan ialah tuturan komisif dan hasil penilaian kualitas terjemahan. Data bersumber dari novel Insurgent karya Veronica Roth dan informan. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara analisis dokumen, kuesioner dan Focus Group Discussion. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis dengan cara analisis domain, taksonomi, komponensial, dan tema budaya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjemahan dalam novel Insurgent mempunyai nilai keakuratan dan keberterimaan yang cukup tinggi. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat keakuratan dan keberterimaan pada setiap jenis tindak tutur komisif memiliki dampak terhadap kualitas keseluruhan terjemahan kalimat yang mengandung tindak tutur komisif.Commissive speech act is one of the pragmatic aspects to regard by the translator in translating the text. It aims to produce a qualified translation in regarding accuracy and acceptability aspects. According to the aspects, this research aims to describe accuracy and acceptability of translation in sentences which accommodate commissive speech act using pragmatic approach. The data used is commissive speech and qualitative translation value result. The sources of the data are an Insurgent novel by Veronica Roth and informants. The data were collected through document analysis, questionnaire, and Focus Group Discussion then analyzed the domain, taxonomic, componential analysis, and cultural theme. The result shows that translation in the Insurgent novel has high accuracy and acceptability values. This research concludes that the accuracy and acceptability level in each commissive speech act has an impact on quality of whole translated sentences which contain commissive speech act.

This study explored the utility of the learner autonomy concept in the Zimbabwean O Level English as a Second Language (ESL) classroom focusing on three Gweru urban high schools of the Midlands Province. The researchers intended to establish whether learner autonomy was a reality or just a myth in Zimbabwean classrooms. A qualitative multiple case study design was applied focusing on teaching strategies, availability of resources, challenges faced and ways of optimising it. Questionnaires and document analysis were used for data collection. The findings revealed that the concept did not manifest in explicit terms, the learners did not participate in decision making, and the teachers were not adequately prepared to administer autonomous processes with students. For it to be a reality, the Education Ministry is recommended to establish a comprehensive framework of how autonomous learning should be implemented. Teacher training should explicitly focus on how to develop autonomous learners. Teachers ought to be flexible enough to accommodate learners' contributions towards their learning.

La comunicación aborda desde una perspectiva de acción integrada y contemplando las variables que en ella intervienen. Estos factores igualmente pasan a ser referentes para la evaluación. No se puede hablar de gestión de comunicación en las organizaciones sin diagnóstico consistente, planeamiento alineado a la estrategia de la empresa, plan de acción  coherente,  implantación rigurosa  y  valoración. El  objetivo  de  este  trabajo  es conformar la propuesta de bases teórico-metodológicas para la evaluación del sistema de comunicación en  las  organizaciones. Para  el  desarrollo  se  realizó  un  diseño  general investigativo basado en  la teoría fundamentada y sustentada  en una extensa revisión bibliográfica, análisis documental, entrevistas a expertos y un cuestionario semi- estructurado a profesionales de la comunicación en instituciones y organizaciones seleccionadas. Se concluyó que la comunicación en cualquier entidad y tomando los aspectos a medir, momento, periodicidad, los métodos y técnicas a emplear así como la profundidad y extensión de estos análisis, dependerá de la situación particular de cada organización.  Palabras claves: evaluación, comunicación, gestión de la comunicación, comunicación organizacional, organizaciones. Communication management in organizations: a proposal for its evaluation   Abstract  Communication is stated from a perspective of integrated action and taking into account the variables involved therein. These factors also become benchmarks for evaluation. You can not talk about communication management in organizations without a  consistent diagnosis, aligned business strategy, plan of a consistent action , rigorous implementation and evaluation planning. The aim of this paper is to form the theoretical and methodological proposal for the evaluation of the communication system in organizations . To develop an overall research design based on grounded theory and supported by an extensive  literature  review,  document  analysis,  expert  interviews and  semi-structured communication  to professionals involved in the process of communication in institutions and organizations selected,  and a questionnaire, it was concluded that the communication in any organization and taking aspects to be   measured such as  time, frequency, methods and techniques used as well and the depth and extent of these analyses will depend on the particular situation of each organization. In the introduction, the outline of the chapters is presented, and the context for the study of contemporary shamanisms in Norway is drawn. The chapter provides an outline for why I have chosen to examine the field of shamanism in Norway through interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. I argue that the project, although obviously not exhaustive, nor even representative of the contemporary setting, represents a rare opportunity to study a late modern religious tradition in the process of evolution.
