Modern trends in consumer behaviour and the new business environment in Russian regions and territories focused on local food production have led to increased attention to territorial branding. At the same time, there are virtually no scientific justifications for territorial branding of food products, which has resulted in a lack of methodological recommendations for product branding by local producers and, consequently, in the inefficient practical solutions as regards territorial branding concepts. The lack of a territorially relevant definition of product branding and criteria for selecting food products for branding turned the authors to their own interpretations based on theoretical research. The testing of the methodical approach coupled with empirical research provided evidence of the correctness of the approach selected and the criteria for consumers’ preferences in choosing food products, in particular, certain groups of food products manufactured in Krasnoyarsk

AbstractThis article highlights the adoption of social media by organizations and its consequences on the company’s performance. These topics of debate are becoming more and more common in the business environment. In fact, it is the main argument for which this paper relates the particularly important aspects of the adoption of social media (social networks) by organizations. In the following, important aspects that bring value to the organization, both by acquiring and by adopting social media in sales performance, have been structured. This research is built on a theoretical study, including as main terms of discussion: social media adoption and digital transformation. In the last part of the article, we have summarized and concluded these factors. We have identified how they can contribute to a more efficient orientation of sales performance, to increase the organizational management of the relationship and the connection between customers and the organization. Referring to the orientation towards “use of social networks” by organizations, we demonstrate that organizations are required to give high importance to understanding the organization’s customers and, of course, a high degree of relational performance. Another factor encountered in this theoretical research is ―digital transformation”. We debated this topic in order to easily make the transition to the adoption of “social media” by organizations. Following the theoretical research, we can say that today, digital transformation has special importance in the organization and the fact that a strong link has been created among social media, reality management and performance in relational sales.

Three spheres play a key role in the economy of Pavlodar region: industry, trade and transport. Just how to remain positive dynamics in terms of industrial production and maintained the services will depend on the development of the region, the main indicators which are discussed in this article through the prism of the events in the context of the pandemic. The necessary health measures taken in response to the pandemic have led to a severe reduction in mobility and are accompanied by high economic costs. The quarantine measures have had a direct impact on businesses, especially microbusinesses. To support this sector, tax incentives were provided, lending was expanded, and measures were taken to further facilitate the business environment. The article reflects only a small list of issues that required changes in the economic mechanism in the context of the pandemic and the introduction of restrictive measures, as well as the strengthening of the influence of external control on the economy. At the same time, the state as whole and individual regions, taking into account their potential and the actual situation in the economy, need to find an optimal balance between the prohibitions and restrictions imposed to ensure the safety of human health and the preservation of the economy in a functional mode, work and income of employees. This problem of finding a balance between prohibitive and permissive measures requires further analysis. At the same time, the state needs to develop and apply tools of a systematic nature, focused on the long term.

Over the last two decades, the digital era and the fourth digital revolution have led to a rapid increase in the influence that digital technologies have on all aspects of life. Rapid development and diffusion of technological innovations altered the business environment, additionally accelerating the dynamics of market changes through permeating globalisation and ever stronger competition. In such digital ecosystem, product life cycles became extremely short, while consumers became more demanding and their behaviour more volatile. Compelled by such business reality, organisations are forced to continuously adapt and digitally transform their business. The aim of this paper is to identify and systemise critical success factors of attaining purposeful digital transformation by means of a literature review. The paper details the results of the conducted theoretical research, which may serve organisations as guidelines on their challenging paths to digital transformation and assist them in avoiding potential traps and mitigating risks associated with inadequate application of digital technology.

The article describes the evolution of accounting from the simple registration technique to economic and social institution in medieval Italy. We used methods of institutional analysis and historical research. It is shown that the institutionalization of accounting had been completed by the XIV century, when it became a system of codified technical standards, scholar discipline and a professional field. We examine the interrelations of this process with business environment, political, social, economic and cultural factors of Italy by the XII—XVI centuries. We present the comparative analysis of the impact of centralized and decentralized corruption for private sector. Theory and empirical evidence point out to a “double jeopardy” of decentralized corruption which increases the burden of corruption upon private firms and weakens the incentives of bureaucracy to provide public production inputs, such as infrastructure. These outcomes are produced by simultaneous free-riding and the tragedy of the commons effects. The empirical part of the paper utilizes data of the Business Environment and Enterprise Performance project.
