This essay discusses the impact of defining English as the lingua franca in academia, taking it as an additional barrier to achieving more equitable participation and a diversity of perspectives in scientific publications in the field of communication studies. Two aspects are particularly problematised. The first is the characterisation of a so-called research that travels, contrasting the ideal model of a strategic definition on what materials should be published on which platform with a scoring and evaluation system that prevents or limits intelligence in these choices. The second aspect is the definition of an acceptable level of eloquence for international circulation, in which the domestication of language leads to an epistemological domination. The debate is illustrated with a series of data regarding the (in)visibility of Latin American scientific production in international academic publications. Such barriers are, finally, presented as mechanisms of power that feed the so-called status of #CommunicationSoWhiteAndRich. The reflection suggests that the search for scientific rigour should not be confused with the rigidity of forms, valuing the construction of solidarity networks that contribute to the decolonisation of scientific thought.

<em>This study introduces the marking system for 3<sup>rd</sup> person present tense in English as Lingua Franca interactions. It is a corpus study which is compiled as part of a PhD study to investigate the lexico-grammatical characteristics of ELF. The corpus, Corpus IST-Erasmus, consists of 10 hours 47 minutes of recorded ELF interactions. It is compiled by means of 54 speech events with the participation of 79 Erasmus students in Istanbul, representing 24 diverse L1s. The focus of this paper is to present whether there are variations from standardized ENL forms with respect to the 3<sup>rd</sup> person present tense marking, as proposed in previous ELF research. The results indicate that the use of 3<sup>rd</sup> person zero in place of 3<sup>rd</sup> person -s is becoming an emerging pattern in ELF interactions.</em>

Objective: The study aimed at analyzing the international scientific publications on coronavirus infection and patient safety in health care. Methods: This research is a bibliometric study carried out by searching published articles in theISIWebofKnowledge/WebofScience database and analyzing the results through bibliometric analysis software HistCite. The selected time frame was between 1970 and 2020, and we used the following descriptors: “coronavirus infection” OR “severe acute respiratory syndrome” OR “COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2”. Results: We found 5,434 publications in 1,491 different journals; they are written by 18,274 authors linked to 4,064 institutions, which are located in 104 countries. In the citations analysis, the h-index was 155, and the average of citations each article received was 30.79. Conclusion: During the studied period, the Web of Science database showed two peaks of publications on coronavirus infections.The first comprised 768 articles published between 2003 and 2004 when a new coronavirus caused an outbreak of severe acute respiratory failure. The second consisted of 576 articles published between 2019 and 2020, during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic COVID-19. The knowledge on coronavirus infection should be widely shared so that new studies can be designed and the world scientific community can contribute to improving patient safety in healthcare and preventing new pandemics of severe acute respiratory infection caused by coronaviruses.

<p><em>Since the ECSC Treaty signed in Paris in 1951, marking the beginning of the commun destiny of the first international integration organization until the most recent decisions, such as the single currency or the immigration policies, it is a matter of fact that European Union progresses only with harmonious dialogue and joint actions, built on mutual respect of others’ differences. Nowadays, in the </em><em>rapidly changing societies, financial concurrence and geopolitical stakes together with arrogance, or dominance, often outweigh the plurilingual communication, thereby leading to worries about linguistic equality within the Union; hence, the subject of the present stydy. Communication in this polyglottic supranational union should be based on an equal pattern, without what the impact of English as lingua franca<a title="" href="file:///F:/JOURNAL%20BA%20TEIEP%201/PAPER_HATZIDAKI.doc#_ftn1"><strong>[1]</strong></a> may be contested and criticised. Scientific productivity of any academic institution is expressed by the total number of publications generated by its academic faculties and the use of the publication by scientific community. Citation analysis is done to evaluate the use of the publications. Use of the publication can be studied with the help of bibliometric analysis. Counting publication, publications trends, authorship patterns and citation analysis are parts of bibliometric analysis. Web of Science is one of the best databases which allow the study in the use of the publications through citation analysis. In this article, scientific articles produced by the faculties and other international affiliated faculties of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences have been studied. BACKGROUND Digital health is growing at a rapid pace, and digital health literacy has tremendous potential to promote health outcomes, bridge the digital divide, and improve health inequalities. OBJECTIVE The purposes of this study are to conduct a systematic bibliometric analysis on the field of dig-ital health literacy and to understand the research context and trends in this field. METHODS A total of 1,955 scientific publications were collected from the Web of Science (WoS) core col-lection. Institutional cooperation, journal co-citation, theme bursting, keyword co-occurrence, author cooperation, author co-citation, literature co-citation and references in the field of digi-tal health literacy were analyzed using the VOSviewer and CiteSpace knowledge mapping tools. RESULTS The results demonstrated that the United States was the leader in number of publications and citations in this field. The University of California System was first in terms of institutional contributions. The Journal of Medical Internet Research led in number of publications, cita-tions and co-citations. Research areas in the field of digital health literacy mainly include the definition and scale of health literacy, health literacy and health outcomes, health literacy and the digital divide, and the influencing factors of health literacy. CONCLUSIONS We summarize research progress in the field of digital health literacy and reveal the context, trends, and trending topics of digital health literacy research through statistical analysis and network visualization. Our work can serve as a fundamental reference and directional guide for future research in this field.

Ticks are distributed all over the world and significantly affect human and animal health. Increasing public health concern with tick borne diseases requires the strategic control of ticks in animals that transmit diseases to humans. The aim of this article is to present a bibliometric analysis of the scientific production related to tick control, using bibliometrics as an instrument of analysis to measure scientific activity. To identify the studies , a search was made on four Scopus databases, Web of Science, Medline / Pubmed and Science Direct. Of 1764 publications, only 480 were analyzed after the exclusion of certain productions according to previously defined criteria. It was pointed out that the identified studies have great relevance for the control of ticks, considering that scientific publications are important markers of the activity of production and development of the field of knowledge.

Con el nombre de Inglés para Fines Específicos, mas conocido por el acrónimo inglés ESP, nos referimos a la variedad de la lengua inglesa que se enseña a los estudiantes matriculados en carreras como Económicas, Turismo, Medicina e Ingenierías. Desde sus inicios hasta la fecha hemos asistido a un gran crecimiento en el número de estudiantes y cursos ofertados, que ha obligado a poner en marcha prácticas docentes autónomas, es decir sin la participación de expertos en el campo, y replicativas, es decir prácticas que fueron inicialmente diseñadas para el aprendizaje de las destrezas profesionales, como por ejemplo el uso del estudio de casos procedente de los Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Ambos procesos, unidos al desarrollo del inglés como lingua franca y al interés por el desarrollo de una metodología que favorezca la autonomía de los estudiantes, se han traducido en un desarrollo espectacular de herramientas docentes de Internet. En este marco se sitúa este trabajo que se organiza en tres grandes apartados: (1) una precisión del concepto de ESP y una reinterpretación del mismo; (2) una revisión del concepto de lexicografía y del diccionario pedagógico; (3) una descripción de las posibilidades que ofrecen los diccionarios de Internet para poder leer textos de inglés empresarial/inglés económico. El artículo finaliza resumiendo las principales ideas defendidas en este trabajo.From its inception in the early 1960s, English for Specific Purposes (ESP) has grown to become one of the most prominent areas of EFL teaching. ESP is usually concerned with the teaching of English used in academic studies and/or professional activities, especially the teaching of English related with Business/Economics, Tourism, Medicine, and Engineering. As the number of courses and students has grown considerably the original team teaching methodology is being substituted by a more autonomous approach in which both ESP instructors and students have to acquire knowledge of the basic concepts of the field by themselves, as well as upgrade their discourse competence. This new approach lends support to recent developments in the field of learner’s autonomy, especially those based on Internet (for example, Moodle) that are being promoted in this era of shortages and lack of resources. Within this framework, this article offers a review of the state of art regarding ESP, formulates a reconceptualization of the concept with the aim of making room to two recent developments: the consolidation of English as lingua franca; and the possibilities offered by the Internet for teaching and learning. It also enumerates the main basic requirements of pedagogically-oriented specialised dictionaries and illustrates some of their potentialities for assisting users in a reading situation. The article finishes by summarising the main conclusions drawn.
