Based on the special geological conditions of a tunnel in Qingyuan section of Huizhou-Zhanzhou Expressway, FLAC3d numerical simulation software is used to simulate the rheological properties and instability of surrounding rock in large-section fully weathered sandstone section, and the stability and loss of surrounding rock are analyzed. The deformation of the dome and the face at steady state is analyzed. It is found that: 1) when the surrounding rock is in a stable state, the deformation curve of the dome is smooth. When the surrounding rock of the face is unstable, the front of the face appears ahead. Deformation should be first strengthened on the surrounding rock in front of the face. 2) The arched foot is an important part of the instability of the surrounding rock. In order to prevent the expansion of the collapsed part, the arched part should be reinforced. 3) In order to obtain the limit state of surrounding rock stability, the strength of surrounding rock is reduced, and the strength reduction coefficient corresponding to the displacement sudden point is taken as the safety factor of rock stability around the hole, and the stability safety coefficients of surrounding rock of each construction step are greater than 1.2. 4) The dynamic standard values of deformation control in the whole construction stage are obtained by analyzing the deformation curves of each data monitoring point with time in the corresponding time period of each construction step.

Fully mechanized roadway is an area of high accident incidence, and the problem is more prominent with the increase of mining depth of coal resources. The advance support scheme put forward for fully mechanized mining roadway with self-moving support and anchor combined unit, and the configuration and working principle of support robot was explicated. A determination method on the working resistance of advance support bracket was proposed based on mechanical coupling model of surrounding rock-advance support brackets. Taking the geological conditions of the Qishan mine as an example, the process of analyzing and determining the working resistance of the advance support bracket was described using this method. An advance support bracket was designed using SolidWorks, and the working load was obtained based on numerical calculations. Then the stress and strain were analyzed using ANSYS. The results showed that the designed advance support bracket can withstand the corresponding top plate pressure. It provides a new method and thought for study and development of advance supporting equipment in deep fully mechanized roadway.

To research the deformation regularity of large section loess tunnel in construction procession with different construction methods, 3D Numerical Simulation is applied and the large-section loess tunnel of highway is taken as an example. Comparing deformation regularity of surrounding rock in three types of construction method conditions, the research results show that:The CRD method takes precedence in the condition of the convergence of surrounding rock is large. The both sides heading method takes precedence in the condition of ground surface settlement is large.

Geothermal power is being regarded as depending on techniques derived from hydrocarbon production in worldwide current strategy. However, it has artificially been developed far less than its natural potentials due to technical restrictions. This paper introduces the Enhanced Geothermal System based on Excavation (EGS-E), which is an innovative scheme of geothermal energy extraction. Then, based on cohesion-weakening-friction-strengthening model (CWFS) and literature investigation of granite test at high temperature, the initiation, propagation of excavation damaged zones (EDZs) under unloading and the EDZs scale in EGS-E closed to hydrostatic pressure state is studied. Finally, we have a discussion about the further evolution of surrounding rock stress and EDZs during ventilation is studied by thermal-mechanical coupling. The results show that the influence of high temperature damage on the mechanical parameters of granite should be considered; Lateral pressure coefficient affects the fracture morphology and scale of tunnel surrounding rock, and EDZs area is larger when the lateral pressure coefficient is 1.0 or 1.2; Ventilation of high temperature and high in-situ stress tunnel have a significant effect on the EDZs scale; Additional tensile stress is generated in the shallow of tunnel surrounding rock, and the compressive stress concentration transfers to the deep. EDZs experiences three expansion stages of slow, rapid and deceleration with cooling time, and the thermal insulation layer prolongs the slow growth stage.

The coal side deformation and sliding can not be effectively controlled by use of the traditional bolt or cable support in the high stress crushed surrounding rock and large section roadway. For solving this problem, the new prestressed truss support technology is put forward, and its supporting principles of roof and two walls are stated. The mechanical model of cable-channel steel truss is established, and then the tensile strength of the cable and the maximum deflection of the channel steel are derived. By way of field investigation, mechanics theory analysis and actual production condition, the scheme is defined and applied in the replacement roadway. Measurement results of surrounding rock behavior show that the coal side displacement is no more than 254mm and the roof convergence is less than 172mm. Apparent economic and technical profits have been achieved.

Poor cyclic performance of lithium-ion batteries is calling for efforts to study its capacity attenuation mechanism. The internal stress field produced in the lithium-ion battery during its charging and discharging process is a major factor for its capacity attenuation, research on it appears especially important. We established an electrochemical –mechanical coupling model with the consideration of the influence of elastic stiffening on diffusion for graphite anode materials. The results show that the inner stress field strongly depends on the lithium-ion concentration field, greater concentration gradients lead to greater stresses. The evolution of the stress field is similar to that of the concentration gradient but lags behind it, which shows hysteresis phenomenon. Elastic stiffening can lower the concentration gradient and increase elastic modulus, which are two major factors influencing the inner stress field. We conclude that the latter is more dominant compared to the former, and elastic stiffening acts to increasing the internal stress.
