Collar roofs belong to the traditional structures used for roofing buildings. In present, the collar roofs are widely used for their ability to omit internal vertical support structures (columns, support walls), which might be sometimes a complication during a design of the layout of the building. Collar roof acts on the bottom support structure of the building by quite big lateral horizontal forces. These forces are being often neglected in common practice. This fact leads to failures of the bottom support structures. Reinforced concrete rim made on the top of the brick wall is one of the methods, how to deal with these horizontal forces. The article deals with the interaction. The article deals with the interaction between the structure of the collar roof and the reinforced concrete rim.

During many factors affect the straightening precision, the shape of roller gap affect directly the flatness and the distribution of residual stress; At the same time, roll system's stiffness, as an important part of the roller leveler's whole stiffness, affect directly the design of leveling production process. In order to draw the conclusion of deformation characteristics and rules, the equivalent FEM Model on upper rolls and its support structure and investigates on the features of stress and strain after the rollers' deformation is established, based on the structural analysis of hot roller leveler for 3800mm plate steel.

Muzhailing tunnel of Lanyu railway is located in the western part of Qinling Mountain, its geological conditions are very complex. There is an extrusion fault, f16, in the Dazhangou inclined shaft, and the strata are consist of slate, sandston and carbonaceous slate. The measured geostress results showed that this location is in a very high level of geostress state, the maximum horizontal principal geostress is nearly vertical to Dazhangou inclined shaft and the measured horizontal lateral pressure coefficient is 3.79. Soft rock crushing, high geostress state, high horizontal lateral pressure coefficient and other factors led to the poor stability for the shaft. During the construction process of the shaft, the deformation characteristics are showed as strong horizontal deformation, rapid and large rate initial deformation, and long duration. According to rock lithology conditions, geostress conditions, supporting structure and dynamic construction, deformation characteristics of the shaft, the large horizontal deformation was caused by the interaction of high horizontal lateral pressure coefficient and poor geological conditions and other factors, but the main reasons of the large horizontal deformation were recognized as uneven vertical and horizontal load, extreme adverse load conditions of support structure, based on the theoretical and 3D numerical analysis. Through the analysis of the interaction of support structure and the surrounding rock, the smaller deformation in front of the working face during tunnel excavation is took place, the less stress release would be took place and the larger the ultimate load would be on the support structure. Tremendous stress was withstood by the arch crown, larger wall tensile stress was appeared at side wall, the support structure is in a poor stress state. This paper provides a theoretical basis for dynamic design and construction of the Dazhangou inclined shaft and Muzhailing tunnel.

Rapid solidification of a molten, multicomponent alloy against a metallic substrate promotes greater microstructural homogeneity and greater solid solubility of alloying elements than can be achieved by slower-cooling casting methods. The supersaturated solid solutions produced by rapid solidification can be subsequently annealed to precipitate, by controlled phase decomposition, uniform 10-100 nm precipitates or dispersoids. TEM studies were made of the precipitation of metastable Al3Li(δ’) and equilibrium AL3H phases and the deformation characteristics of a rapidly solidified Al-3Li-0.2Ti alloy.

The analysis of the previous results of the study on concrete stress-strain behavior at elevated temperatures has been carried out. Based on the analysis, the main reasons for strength retrogression and elastic modulus reduction of concrete have been identified. Despite a significant amount of research in this area, there is a large spread in experimental data received, both as a result of compression and tension. In addition, the deformation characteristics of concrete are insufficiently studied: the coefficient of transverse deformation, the limiting relative compression deformation corresponding to the peak load and the almost complete absence of studies of complete deformation diagrams at elevated temperatures. The two testing chambers provided creating the necessary temperature conditions for conducting studies under bending compression and tension have been developed. On the basis of the obtained experimental data of physical and mechanical characteristics of concrete at different temperatures under conditions of axial compression and tensile bending, conclusions about the nature of changes in strength and deformation characteristics have been drawn. Compression tests conducted following the method of concrete deformation complete curves provided obtaining diagrams not only at normal temperature, but also at elevated temperature. Based on the experimental results, dependences of changes in prism strength and elastic modulus as well as an equation for determining the relative deformation and stresses at elevated temperatures at all stages of concrete deterioration have been suggested.
