AbstractIn this article, a triple band-notched super-wideband (SWB) monopole antenna is designed and manufactured. The measured working frequency band (out of the filters working band) ranges from 2.5 to 20 GHz. A single radiating element is utilized to analyze and implement various MIMO antennas, with isolation between the antenna ports higher than 15 dB. Two parallel-fed elements SWB MIMO antenna and four parallel-fed elements SWB MIMO antennas are presented. Metallic barriers with different shapes are used to improve the isolation among ports from a low unacceptable value of 12 dB to a value higher than 20 dB within most of the working frequency band. S-parameters of the presented SWB MIMO antennas experimentally shows that antennas perform well up to 20 GHz, which is the highest frequency supported by the available Vector Network Analyzer used in the S parameters measurements. Satisfactory performance is observed up to 50 GHz by computer simulations using the CST software.

In this article, we have presented various techniques that are used for improving different parameters related to UWB antenna. In this Paper, we planned for MIMO antennas in contemporary wireless communication which enhances the bandwidth and gives compact antennas. The antenna band we notched is of planned MIMO which offers an bandwidth with the operational band-notched. The bandwidth capacity of the antenna is from 2.93-20 gigahertz with sharp rejection at WLAN-band with isolation of not exactly - 22 dB is accomplished for the whole band, by utilizing a simple modified shaped structure in the bottom plane, port isolation and transmission capacity are improved. The diversity execution performance is likewise contemplated and whole outcomes shows it’s a potential point of using MIMO based diversity antenna for ultra wide band applications which is demonstrate in this paper. The parameters to assess the performance of the MIMO are explained, the whole examination completed in different sections has been outlined

A MIMO antenna with micro strip fed ultra wide band nature with characteristics of single band notching is presented in this paper. MIMO antenna has two monopole antennas. Larger impedance bandwidth is obtained by providing slots beside the feed line on ground plane. By using parasitic element on back side of patch band notching characteristics cab be obtained. Here, antenna size is 44x22x1.6 mm3 . This antenna operates over the frequency band 4GHz to 11GHz with notched frequency band 5.1GHz to 5.9GHz. By keeping two monopole antennas perpendicular to each other, isolation of less than - 15dB is obtained and good value of ECC is obtained.

A compact four-element dual-band multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) antenna system is proposed to achieve high isolation and low channel capacity loss. The MIMO antenna was designed and optimized to cover the dual-frequency bands; the first frequency band is a wide band, and it covers the frequency range of 1550–2650 MHz, while the other frequency band covers the 3350–3650 MHz range. The measured wide-band impedance bandwidths of 1.1 GHz and 300 MHz were achieved in the lower and upper frequency bands, respectively. The proposed structure consists of four novel antenna elements, along with a plus-sign-shaped ground structure on an FR4 substrate. The overall electrical size of the whole dual-band MIMO antenna system is 0.3λ(W) × 0.3λ(L) × 0.008λ(H) for the lower frequency band. It achieved greater than 10 and 19 dB isolation in the lower and upper frequency bands, respectively. The antenna system accomplished an envelope correlation coefficient of |ρ|≤0.08 in the lower frequency band, while it achieved |ρ|≤0.02 in the higher frequency band. The computed channel capacity loss remained less than almost 0.4 bits/s/Hz in both frequency bands. Therefore, it achieved good performance in both frequency bands, with the additional advantage of a compact size. The proposed MIMO antenna is suitable for compact handheld devices and smartphones used for GSM (Global System for Mobiles), UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service), WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access), LTE (Long Term Evolution), 5G sub-6 GHz, PCS (Personal Communications Service), and WLAN (wireless local area network) applications.

This paper considers design of microstrip MIMO antennas for an LTE/WiMAX USB dongle operating in the 2.5–2.7 GHz frequency band. The MIMO system includes two antenna elements with an additional requirement of high isolation between them that is especially difficult to realize due to size limitations of a USB dongle. Three approaches to achieve the needed system characteristics using microstrip PCB antennas are proposed. For the first design, high port-to-port isolation is achieved by using a decoupling techniques based on a direct connection of the antenna elements. For the second approach, high port-to-port isolation of the MIMO antenna system is realized by a lumped decorrelation capacitance between antenna elements feeding points. The third proposed antenna system does not use any special techniques, and high port-to-port isolation is achieved by using only the properties of a developed printed inverted-F antenna element. The designed MIMO antenna systems have the return loss S11and the insertion loss S21bandwidths of more than 200 MHz at the −8 dB level with the correlation coefficient lower than 0.1 and exhibit pattern diversity when different antenna elements are excited. Experimental measurements of the fabricated antenna systems proved the characteristics obtained from electromagnetic simulation.

Pengukuran nilai VSWR 1 didapatkan nilai sebesar 1,96, VSWR 2 sebesar 1,41. The development of radar antennas is getting faster and more diverse, one of which is the MIMO (multiple output) antenna. MIMO antennas are widely used for 5G technology because of their high spectral efficiency and frequency. MIMO antenna is also a system that uses multiple antennas, both transmitter and receiver which can solving the weaknesses in wireless communication systems. The research designed a 2X2 MIMO microstrip antenna using a patch bowtie to convert the frequency from 2.4 GHZ to 5.5 GHz by adding dual rectangular slots and single triangular slots. The simulation results show that the addition of dual rectangular slots and single triangular slots on the patch bowtie antenna can shift the working frequency from 2.4 GHz to 5.5 GHz. From the simulation results of MIMO 2X2 antenna, the return loss value of S11 is -46.5 dB, insertion loss S21 is -25.2 dB, bandwidth is 192.2 MHz, VSWR is 1.00 and gain is 3.11 dBi. The results of the MIMO antenna measurements show differences in the parameters of antennas 1 and 2. This is due to the difference size of antenna 1 and antenna 2. The measurement of the return loss value for antenna 1 is -22.32 dB and -15.63 dB for antenna 2 The results of the insertion loss measurements for antennas 1 and 2 have the same value, which is -43.5 dB and for the width of the bandwidth has a different value, 50 MHz for antenna 1 and 100 MHz for antenna 2. Measurement of the value of VSWR 1 obtained a value of 1.96, VSWR 2 is 1.41.

A compact printed quadrant shaped monopole antenna is introduced in this paper as a good prospect for ultra wideband- multiple-input multiple-output (UWB-MIMO) system. The proposed MIMO antenna comprises two perpendicularly oriented monopoles to employ polarization diversity. An open circuit folded stub is extended from the ground plane of each radiating element to enhance the impedance bandwidth satisfying the UWB criteria. Two ‘L’ shaped slots are further etched on the radiator to provide good isolation performance between two radiators. The desirable radiator performances and diversity performances are ensured by simulation and/or measurement of the reflection coefficient, radiation pattern, realized peak gain, envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), diversity gain, mean effective gain (MEG) ratio and channel capacity loss (CCL). Results indicate that the proposed antenna exhibits 2.9–11 GHz 10 dB return loss bandwidth, mutual coupling <−20 dB, ECC < 0.003, MEG ratio ≈ 1, and CCL < 0.038 Bpsec/Hz, making it a good candidate for UWB and MIMO diversity application.
