Offering a variety of activities and events is considered a central part of many public libraries today. Under the term public library programmes, this article presents the findings from an empirical study of the development of publicly available and publicly announced activities and events offered within or in relation to Danish public libraries over a sixty-year period. The aim of the study was to enrich our understanding of these library services from a historical perspective focussing on describing development. Inspired by Historical Case Study (HCS), the study was designed as a diachronic analysis of a broad variety of empirical source materials collected from two case libraries, documenting programmes offered between 1960 and 2020, including interviews with programming librarians. From analysing the source materials, a development is described which shows that while the different types of programmes offered throughout the period have been somewhat consistent, their format and content have expanded in parallel with the expansion of the public library, its collections and services. At the same time, the reasoning behind offering programmes can be described as a development from programmes considered as a means to an end (e.g. education, publicity or community building) to programmes also considered as ends in themselves. By supporting and enriching the knowledge on programmes as services, this study provides an empirical foundation for discussions and debates about the role and function of public library programmes as part of the public library in the future as well as rich empirical examples for further research.

While Fein's (1974) suggested use of a case study approach in lieu of “statistical procedures” to study the role and function of school psychologists has merit, multiple methods of studying the problem are most desirable. We take issue with Fein's inference that a statistical approach is a “less meaningful” approach and argue against her assertion that our study yielded “very limited results.” Most of Fein's comments seem directed toward “roles and functions of school psychologists” and not our principal focus on administrators' perceptions of and satisfaction with school psychologists.

To inhibit the increase and spread of HIV-AIDS, it is necessary to partnership between civil society, people with HIV-AIDS, government and the role of community leaders. In Minangkabau Ninik Mamak is obliged to educate nephews in the field of religion, customary values, culture in community life to be able to live harmoniously. Data from the Solok City Health Office with HIV-AIDS in 2019 amounted to 54 cases and 30 of them died. The purpose of this study is to find out how Ninik Mamak's role in the application of indigenous and cultural values to the prevention and reduction of the risk of HIV-AIDS disease in adolescents in solok city. This research uses qualitative methodology with a case study approach, data collected through in-depth interviews. The results of the study of most ninik mamak have not played a role in maximally applying and instilling the values of Indigenous and Cultural Minangkabau to the youth nephew about the prevention and reduction of the risk of HIV-AIDS disease. Ninik Mamak as an informal leader who has a close relationship with the nephew must provide motivation, direction, guidance, and teaching wisely and wisely to the nephew to do it in everyday life. Suggestions that Ninik Mamak increase its role and function to instill indigenous values and Minangkabau culture in the daily life of youth nephews as an awareness effort in the prevention and reduction of the risk of HIV-AIDS disease.

This study aimed to analyze and describe effectivity of headmaster role and function to implementing program for improving quality of education in private elementary school of Metro City. The research approach used is qualitative with case study design on the effectiveness of headmaster role and function as educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, motivator, and entrepreneur. Sources of research data are headmaster, vice headmaster, teachers, committees, supervisors, foundation, and administrative staff of schools with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations and documentation studies. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman interaction model is data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study are expected to effectively implement the headmaster role and function and involve the stakeholders in an optimal manner. Corporate scandal resulted from bad consideration and weak analysis to create management decision in running company’s business. This paper discusses the supervisory role and function of supervisory board which is begun with the establishment of corporate supervisory function system from two corporate supervisory system in the world: Two-Tier Baord and One-Tier Board. In addition, this paper also explains connection between such supervisory function with the corporate scandal of PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines. Moreover, this paper examines related matters related to significant distinctions between response towards the corporate scandal based on the corporate management supervision. In conclusion, this paper addresses what can we learn from the corporate scandal of PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines and also whether supervision model by board of commissioners are still relevant to control the performance of the company.

The objective of research was to find out the habitus of actor on  PT Antam’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program implementation in developing the clean water infrastructure, particularly involving the society leader and the members of society, as well as the staff of PT Antam. In this case, the leader was Lurah Desa Cisarua (the Head of Cisarua Village) attempting to make both company and society benefiting from the presence of company amid the society. The research method used was case study. Techniques of collecting data used were observation, interview, and focus group discussion (FGD). Technique of analyzing data used was an interactive model. Bourdieu’s structuring theory was used to appreciate the leader’s action. This theory states that (habitus × capital) + domain = action. The result of research suggested that the community of Nanggung Sub District was the domain in which the actor exists, pertaining to values, norms, and problems encountered by the society. Habitus of society leader constituted knowledge and conception on its role and function within the society, learnt from its primary and secondary environments. The result also showed that a society leading actor should be able to serve the society by devoting idea, thought, and effort to its society. The members of society should be able to participate actively in the society’s activity. Meanwhile, the actor of company should be productive and maintain the company’s reputation. Capital consists of economic, social, cultural, and political capitals the individual actors have.

<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> The application of Geographic Information System (GIS) and election is a study that stresses geospatial aspects which gives support to election boundaries, election information management system along with GIS analysis in election boundaries. This article, as a concept, explains the role and function of GIS and geopolitics as an introduction to examine the election pattern in Malaysia. This study was aimed at understanding the issue that influenced youth voters in DUN Nusajaya to cast their votes in General Election, thus charting new strategies for future election. In doing so, nine issues are carefully selected and analysed from a geographical perspective by using GIS method. Socio-demographic data, issues influenced and assessment of state political figure, are used to explore geographic variability in relationships between each variable at a detailed spatial level. Spatial analysis using geographically weighted regression (GWR) was employed, which enables the investigation of local variations in voting patterns. The results demonstrate that assessment of state political figures do vary over geographic space and some of the variables that are traditionally assumed affect certain locations.</p>

Public Relations has an important role and function in managing business activities. One of which is relied on to develop agro tourism products that can create a branding reinforcement of a product to the public. Performing a public relations strategy is done so that perception value can be well received by the public. This study aims to study the branding strategy of public relation of window Jendela Alam in developing agrotourism products that focus on building trust with stakeholders, conducting external activities and choosing the communication media. This study uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results show that building trust with various stakeholders is needed in strengthening the branding. This can be done with integrity, credibility and capability. External communication is carried out as a means for companies to establish and develop relationships with stakeholders, as well as the use of communication media to publish all forms of the Jendela Alam activities in developing agro-tourism products so that the public knows various information about agrotourism products while strengthening the Jendela Alam agrotourims products.
