Ferulic acid was used as a common drug for cardia-cerebrovascular disease and leukopenia, but the application of ferulic acid was inhibited by the poor absorption and stability. The improvement of these defects can be realized by modifying ferulic acid by amino acids, because the amido bond can increase the bioavailability and therapeutic effect of some drugs based on the peptide transporter system of mammalian which can transport the peptidyl drugs. The peptidyl derivatives of ferulic acid, namely acetyl feruloyl tyrosine and acetyl feruloyl valyl tyrosine, were synthesized using Fmoc solid-phase synthesis method. The synthesized ferulic acid amide derivatives were purified by RP-HPLC, and characterized by IR, HNMR and ESI-MS. The results indicated that Fmoc solid phase synthesis was a convenient method for the amide bond modification of ferulic acid and the further property research on ferulic acid derivatives.

Four kinds of Al-TiO2 solid samples with different Ti/Al ratios of 1 : 0.1, 1 : 0.09, 1 : 0.07, and 1 : 0.05 were synthesized via a solid-phase synthesis method and characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS, BET, and other techniques. The prepared solids were used for separation of the bioderived product danshensu, the content of which was determined by UV spectrophotometry. Moreover, the effects of extract concentration, PH value, adsorption time, and ethanol elution volume were investigated. The results showed that these Al-TiO2 samples had good adsorption and desorption ability. Especially, the solid Al-TiO2 with a Ti/Al ratio of 1 : 0.05 is more suitable for the separation of danshensu, exhibiting a higher adsorption (77.70%) under 2 h adsorption time and pH = 3; meanwhile, the high desorption rate (70.29%)was received under 80% ethanol and the sample concentration of 3.0 mg/mL.

Acylated lignins with substituents consisting of different lengths of carbon chains were prepared by a mechanical activation-assisted solid phase synthesis (MASPS) technology with a customized stirring ball mill as a reactor. The structures and properties were analyzed by UV/Vis, FTIR, NMR, SEM, DSC, and TG. The results showed that the acylated lignins were successfully prepared with either non-cyclic or cyclic anhydrides as the acylating agents. Both aliphatic hydroxyl and phenolic hydroxyl groups of lignin reacted with non-cyclic anhydrides, and different reactivity of acylating agents resulted in different relative contents of phenolic and aliphatic substituents in the products. The reactivity of the cyclic anhydrides was weaker than that of the non-cyclic anhydrides, and the reactivity of the acylating agents decreased with increasing carbon chain length and unsaturated bonds of acyl groups. All of the acylated lignins except maleylated lignin had a lower glass transition temperature (Tg) than the original lignin. The acylated lignins prepared with non-cyclic anhydrides had better thermal stability than original lignin, and the thermal stability increased, but Tg decreased with an increasing chain length of the acyl groups. The acylated lignins prepared with cyclic anhydrides had higher a Tg than those with non-cyclic anhydrides with the same carbon number, and the thermal stability was not obviously improved.

This paper compares the low-temperature aging performance of 5Y-TZP and 8Y-TZP by coprecipitation and solid-phase synthesis methods in the steam. Analysis the weight changes of samples using analytical balance, and the sample surface microstructure and phase changes with SEM, XRD. The results show that the content of Y2O3 and synthesis method all affect the aging properties of zirconia ceramics; solid-phase synthesis of 8Y-TZP has the best anti-aging performance.

Various asymmetrically substituted phthalocyanines (Pcs) and porphyrazines (Pzs) have been synthesized in good yields using a solid-phase synthesis method with a poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) resin attached to an indole linker as the solid support. These compounds are formed by cross condensation of maleonitrile or phthalonitrile with another phthalonitrile covalently bonded to the solid support with an amino linking group. The polymer bound Pc or Pz is separated by filtration, and washing the symmetrical Pc or Pz by-product. The amine Pc -appended to polyethylene glycol resin is further reacted to yield azide whilst still on the solid support. Cleavage of the Pc or Pz off the solid support results in 3:1 asymmetric Pz or Pz with high degree of purity, requiring minimal further purification. The use of hydrophilic PEG-based resin allows the symmetrical compound to be removed completely by washing whereas the acid labile indole linker makes it easier to cleave the product under mild conditions. The conjugation abilities of these compounds have been demonstrated by the successful conjugation of one of the azide Pcs with a peptide elaborated with an alkyne function. Use of microwave for the synthesis of these compounds results in shorter reaction times, higher yields and higher degree of purity.

This paper presents the results of an experimental study of the possibility of high-entropy oxide phases creation using the of solid-phase synthesis method in the Al2O3–BaO–CuO–Fe2O3–Mn2O3–NiO–SrO–TiO2–ZnO and Al2O3–BaO–CuO–Fe2O3–NiO–SrO–TiO2–WO3–ZnO systems. As a result of the study, a microcrystalline octahedral multicomponent phase was found in the crystallized sample. Judging by the composition, this phase has a spinel structure and is characterized (judging by the components concentrations and its ratio) by rather high values of the mixing configurational entropy. It is shown that barium, strontium and tungsten are not included in this phase in appreciable amounts. The obtained results indicate the possibility of synthesizing high-entropic spinels using these Al2O3–CuO–Fe2O3–Mn2O3–NiO–TiO2–ZnO systems.
