Purpose of this article is to demonstrate the features of the use of existing connection interfaces for the functioning of climate control systems of agricultural complexes. The article contains the author's classification of the characteristics of the connection interfaces. The two most suitable interfaces are considered. The article compares RS-485 and CAN protocols. Key differences between CAN and RS-485 for use in agricultural complexes are shown. A test sample of a system containing 3 sensors was presented.

Artificial neural networks have a wide use in the prediction and classification of different variables, but their application in the area of educational psychology is still relatively rare. The aim of this study was to examine the accuracy of artificial neural networks in predicting students’ general giftedness. The participants were 221 fourth grade students from one Croatian elementary school. The input variables for artificial neural networks were teachers’ and peers’ nominations, school grades, earlier school readiness assessment and parents’ education. The output variable was the result on the Standard Progressive Matrices (Raven, 1994), according to which students were classified as gifted or non-gifted. We tested two artificial neural networks’ algorithms: multilayer perceptron and radial basis function. Within each algorithm, a number of different types of activation functions were tested. 80% of the sample was used for training the network and the remaining 20% to test the network. For a criterion according to which students were classified as gifted if their result on the Standard Progressive Matrices was in the 95th centile or above, the best model was obtained by the hyperbolic tangent multilayer perceptron, which had a high accuracy of 100% of correctly classified non-gifted students and 75% correctly classified gifted students in the test sample. When the criterion was the 90th centile or above, the best model was also obtained by the hyperbolic tangent multilayer perceptron, but the accuracy was lower: 94.7% in the classification of non-gifted students and 66.7% in the classification of gifted students. The study has shown artificial neural networks’ potential in this area, which should be further explored. Keywords: gifted students, identification of gifted students, artificial neural networks

Voice activation provides a safe and convenient method of controlling vehicle systems such as in-car entertainment, telecommunications and climate control. In the fullness of time it is likely that there will be a high demand across all vehicle classes for such systems for a wide range of vehicle control functions. One of the challenges facing their development and introduction into vehicles is that of the in-vehicle noise environment.

We give a classification of linear nondissipative mechanical control system under mechanical change of coordinates and feedback. First, we consider a controllable case that is somehow a mechanical counterpart of Brunovský classification, then we extend the result to all linear nondissipative mechanical systems (not necessarily controllable) which leads to a mechanical canonical decomposition. The classification of Lagrangian systems is given afterwards. Next, we show an application of the classification results to the stability and stabilization problem and illustrate them with several examples. All presented results in this paper are expressed in terms of objects on the configuration space Rn only, while the state-space of a mechanical control system is Rn×Rn consisting of configurations and velocities.

The article is devoted to the problem of implementation of intelligent control systems in transport. An important task is to assess the information parameters of the control systems. In the existing works the question of definition of one of the basic parameters of functioning of locomotive control systems - information value of separate signs of a train situation is not considered. This does not make it possible to determine the order of signal processing at the input and assess their contribution to the adoption of a control decision. Moreover, informativeness is a relative value, which is expressed in the different information value of a particular feature for the classification of different train situations. Also, the informativeness of the feature may depend on the type of decisive rules in the classification procedure. The quality of recognition of a train situation in which the locomotive crew is, depends on the quality of the features used by the classification system. The decisive criterion for the informativeness of the features in the problem of pattern recognition is the magnitude of losses from errors. To determine the range of the most informative features of train situations, the method of random search with adaptation was used. The results of the work make it possible to optimize the operation of automated and intelligent train control systems by reducing the amount of calculations and simplifying their algorithm.

Two processes are distinguished: globalization and free trade. The objectivity of the globalization process is substantiated. Classification of forms of integration is given. It is pointed out that the version of the process of globalization depends on the subject of its implementation and the concept (idea) on which this option is based. The systemic crisis that has engulfed all of humanity proves the perniciousness and deadlock of the further realization of integration processes on the basis of mondialism. The necessity of forming control systems based on the integration of national states is argued. A review of possible options for integration in the post-Soviet space is being made. The arguments about the mission of Russia as a leader in the integration processes in the post-Soviet space and on a global scale are presented.
