With the promotion of the street system, residential quarters and units of the compound gradually open. In this paper, the relationship between traffic flow and traffic flow is established for external roads, and the road resistance model is established by internal roads. We propose a balanced distribution model from the two aspects of road opening conditions and traffic flow inside and outside the district, and quantitatively analyze the impact of the opening and closing on the surrounding roads. Finally, it puts forward feasible suggestions to improve the traffic situation and optimize the network structure.

In order to deal with the impact on traffic flow of the rule, we compare the influence factors of traffic flow (passing, etc.) into viscous resistance of fluid mechanics, and establish a traffic model based on fluid mechanics. First, in heavy and light traffic, we respectively use this model to simulate the actual segment of the road and find that when the traffic is heavy, the rule hinder the further increase in traffic. For this reason, we make further improvements to the model to obtain a fluid traffic model based on no passing and find that the improved model makes traffic flow increase significantly. Then, the improved model is applied to the light traffic, we find there are no significant changes in traffic flow .In this regard we propose a new rule: when the traffic is light, passing is allowed, but when the traffic is heavy, passing is not allowed.

Heavy rain causes the highest drop in travel speeds compared with light and moderate rain because it can easily induce flooding on road surfaces, which can continue to hinder urban transportation even after the rainfall is over. However, very few studies have specialized in researching the multistage impacts of the heavy rain process on urban roads, and the cumulative effects of heavy rain in road networks are often overlooked. In this study, the heavy rain process is divided into three consecutive stages, i.e., prepeak, peak, and postpeak. The impact of heavy rain on a road is represented by a three-dimensional traffic speed change ratio vector. Then, the k-means clustering method is implemented to reveal the distinct patterns of speed change ratio vectors. Finally, the characteristics of the links in each cluster are analyzed. An empirical study of Shenzhen, China suggests that there are three major impact patterns in links. The differences among links associated with the three impact patterns are related to the road category, travel speeds in no rain days, and the number of transportation facilities. The findings in this research can contribute to a more in-depth understanding of the relationship between the heavy rain process and the travel speeds of urban roads and provide valuable information for traffic management and personal travel in heavy rain weather.

Abstract Introduction Home court advantage (HCA) in the National Basketball Association (NBA) is well-documented, yet the co-occurring drivers responsible for this advantage have proven difficult to examine in isolation. The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic resulted in the elimination of crowds in ~50% of games during the 2020/2021 NBA season, whereas travel remained unchanged. Using this ‘natural experiment’, we investigated the impact of crowds and travel-related sleep and circadian disruption on NBA HCA. Methods 1080 games from the 2020/2021 NBA regular season were analyzed using mixed models (fixed effects: crowds, travel; random effects: team, opponent). Results In games with crowds, home teams won 58.65% of the time and outrebounded (M=2.28) and outscored (M=2.18) their opponents. In games without crowds, home teams won significantly less (50.60%, p = .01) and were outrebounded (M=-0.41, p < .001) and outscored (M=-0.13, p < .05) by their opponents. Further, the increase in home rebound margin fully mediated the relationship between crowds and home points margin (p < .001). No significant sleep or circadian effects were observed. Discussion Taken together, these results suggest that HCA in the 2020/2021 NBA season was predominately driven by the presence of crowds and their influence on the effort exerted by the home team to rebound the ball. Moreover, we speculate that the strict NBA COVID-19 policies may have mitigated the travel-related sleep and circadian effects on the road team. These findings are of considerable significance to a domain wherein marginal gains can have immense competitive, financial, and even historical consequences.

This paper discusses the issue of statistical analysis of traffic flow in different regions of Poland. Such analysis allows us to identify “valuable (sensitive) areas” whose damage or blockage may provoke considerable disturbances or even a stoppage of traffic flow in the examined road network. The results of the studies indicate that the road network in Poland has the properties of a scale-free network. The distribution of the examined variables does not have a normal character, whereas the relationship between the number of nodes and the number of connections is a power-law feature.

Abstract: The presence of Jenderal Ahmad Yani Semarang International Airport, caused many tourists to come to Semarang, and the impact of one of them was on Anjasmoro Raya corridor whose activities were growing.  This phenomenon can be found with the presence of shops as formal sector activities and the development of pedagang kaki lima activities as a sector informal.  This informal activity uses the shoulder space of the road which should fuction to support the transportation activities in the corridor, but is used as a place of sale by pedagang kaki lima, so there is a strength of property that supports the activities of pedagang kaki lima.  This study aims to find the relationship between the setting of the Anjasmoro Raya corridor and pedagang kaki lima activity through the strength of property in the Anjasmoro Raya corridor.  The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of place centered mapping.  The result showed that there was a relationship between the setting of the Anjasmoro Raya corridor and the activities of street vendors.Keyword: Settings, Pedagang Kaki Lima Activities, Anjasmoro Raya CorridorAbstrak: Kehadiran Bandar Udara International Jenderal Ahmad Yani Semarang membuat banyaknya wisatawan yang datang ke kota semarang, dan dampak salah satunya pada koridor Anjasmoro Raya yang semakin berkembang aktivitasnya, dimana gejala ini dapat dijumpai dengan hadirnya pertokoan sebagai aktivitas sector formal dan berkembangnya aktivitas pedagang kaki lima sebagai sektor informal.  Aktivitas informal ini menggunakan ruang bahu jalan yang seharusnya berfungsi untuk mendukung aktivitas transportasi yang ada di koridor, namun dimanfaatkan sebagai tempat jualan oleh pedagang kaki lima, sehingga terdapat kekuatan property yang mendukung aktifitas pedagang kaki lima.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari hubungan seting koridor Anjasmoro Raya dnegan pola aktivitas pedagang kaki lima, melalui kekuatan properti yang ada di koridor Anjasmoro Raya.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik analisa data berupa place centered mapping.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan seting koridor Anjasmoro Raya dengan aktivitas pedagang kaki lima.Kata Kunci: Seting, Aktivitas Pedagang Kaki Lima, Koridor Anjasmoro Raya

The article evaluates the impact of autonomous vehicles on road infrastructure de- sign, road traffic conditions and safety based on a review of existing literature. Levels of driv- ing automation and equipment of self-driving vehicles were presented. Attention was drawn to the benefits of developing communication systems between vehicle and the environment. The possible negative impact of autonomous vehicles on mixed traffic capacity was noted. The potential needs to adapt the road infrastructure to the traffic flow of automated vehicles were also presented. Separation of the lane, dedicated to self-driving vehicles, with a high share of these vehicles was presented as an element that improves the flow of traffic and safe- ty. Статья посвящена построению математической модели SEIIRDm, учитывающей некоторые особенности распространения COVID-19. Представляемая модель построена на основе классической SEIRD-модели распространения эпидемий. В созданной модели, в отличие от базовой, учитывается то, что латентные носители COVID-19 являются в некоторой степени заразными, и что у существенного количества инфицированных болезнь протекает бессимптомно. В SEIIRDm-модели отражен тот факт, что выявленные больные изолируются (госпитализируются) и вероятность заражения от них резко уменьшается, а также, что карантинные меры имеют массовый характер, причем важна как степень их жесткости, так и момент введения. Кроме того, в статье обращается внимание на то, что зависимость между скоростью изменения относительного числа заболевших и относительным количеством заразных и восприимчивых может быть нелинейной, и этот факт отражен в построенной модели. Статья содержит примеры численного прогнозирования развития эпидемиологического процесса, а также моделирования влияния массовых карантинных мер, рассчитанные на основе созданной математической модели. The article is devoted to the construction of a mathematical model that takes into account some features of COVID-19 propagation. The presented model is based on the classic SEIRD epidemic distribution model. The created model, in contrast to the basic one, takes into account the fact that latent COVIND-19 carriers are somewhat contagious and that in a significant number of infected people, the disease is asymptomatic. The SEIIRDm model reflects the fact that identified patients are isolating (hospitalizing) and the probability of infection from them decreases sharply and also that the measures taken over the quarantine are massive moreover, both the degree of their rigidity and the moment of introduction are important. Besides, the article draws attention to the fact that the relationship between the rate of change in the relative number of cases and susceptible and the relative number of infected may be nonlinear, and this fact is reflected in the built model. The article provides examples of numerical forecasting of the development of the epidemiological process as well as modeling the impact of mass quarantine measures, calculated on the basis of the created mathematical model.

Chapter 4 deals with a complex set of problems that have arisen in determining the relationship between parallel claims in investment arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution, including proceedings in host State courts. Five issues which arbitral tribunals have had to confront in considering the impact of other forms of dispute resolution upon their jurisdiction are explored in particular: (1) the distinction between breach of contract and breach of treaty; (2) election, waiver, and ‘fork in the road’; (3) prior resort to local remedies; (4) internationalised contract claims and ‘umbrella clauses’; and (5) parallel treaty arbitration. The chapter considers the extent to which the general doctrines of lis pendens, res judicata, election, waiver, and abuse of process are capable of application in investment treaty arbitration.

Understanding traffic behavior for obtaining a smooth, safe and economical traffic operation requires a thorough knowledge of traffic flow parameters and their mutual relationships.Eventhough adverse weather can reduce traffic efficiencies, there are still questions to answer regarding the relationship between weather conditions and traffic flow at night. This paper presents an investigation of the rainfall effects to the traffic flow characteristics on atwo-lane rural highway during night time. The traffic data and corresponding rainfall data for uninterrupted road segment of Federal route 3 at Dungun, Terengganu were collected under road lighting condition during the north-east monsoon season. The effect of good weather condition, light rain, moderate rain and heavy rain conditions on speed, flow and density were quantified and compared. Results from the analysis indicate that mean speed, mean flow and mean density are reduced under various rainfall conditions. In general, the impact of good weather and various rainfall conditions on Greenshield’s fundamental traffic flow relationship have weak correlations except for the relationship between flow and density. The important points in the fundamental diagram derived from flow-density relationships indicated that critical density, maximum flow, critical speed, jam density and free flow speed of roadway all decrease as rainfall intensity increases. It can be concluded that traffic flow characteristics of two-lane rural highway in Terengganu are affected by rainfall conditions.
