Sewage treatment remains a delicate subject and requires technical improvements to increase the efficiency of the systems responsible for the treatment. Numerical simulations are also a very useful tool, especially if they are used during the design phase. Thus, the paper aims to present the results obtained by CFD numerical simulations in the case of an important element within an existing wastewater treatment plant, namely the waste water treatment well, thus obtaining constructive solutions of a better functionally to the designed version. Through these, the work demonstrates the necessity of analyzes with CFD methods during design of the main elements of hydrotechnical constructions, but also the necessity of adjusting the numerical models with results obtained from experiments, measurements. The results show that the modifications described in the paper would bring significant improvements in waste disposal.

Generally, wastewater of nata de coco industry contains suspended solids and COD were high, ranging from 90,000 mg / l. The high level of of the wastewater pollutants, resulting in nata de coco industry can not be directly disposed of its wastewater into the environment agency. Appropriate technology required in order to process the waste water so that the treated water can meet the environmental quality standards that are allowed. Designing the waste water treatment plant that is suitable and efficient for treating industrial wastewater nata de coco is the activated sludge process. Wastewater treatment using activated sludge process of conventional (standard) generally consists of initial sedimentation, aeration and final sedimentation. Keywords : Activated Sludge, Design, IPAL

Wastewater contaminated with hexamethylenediamine (HMD), which is discharged into natural reservoirs, causes damage and loss of hydrobionts, worsens the quality of water which becomes unsuitable for use. For wastewater treatment from HMD, the possibility of applying bacterial cultures-destructors which use the HMD as a nutrition source is considered.

The population is growing rapidly result to increased demand for drinking water while the other side of this situation causes to the increasing amount of wastewater. Waste water treatment plant has been built in several major cities in Indonesia to overcome the problem of pollution.  Wastewater treatment plant only treats wastewater to tackle environmental pollution without being able to overcome the shortage of clean water community. Therefore, to solve the existing problems will be considered any further processing with recycled waste water treatment. One technology that may be developed for this purpose is the system of Membrane Bioreactor (MBR). This has been widely applied as an advanced unit of wastewater treatment and serves as a unit of processing recycled waste water. The MBR system has advantages such as: it only takes a little bit of land, can treat wastewater with discharge varying quality and process wastewater with high pollutant removal efficiency. MBR were investigated using a membrane filter submerged in the reactor. Membrane module is hollow fiber with a form of polymeric membrane materials. Research has been done on wastewater treatment with a combination of conventional WWTP as preliminary and advanced processing unit with MBR since March 4, 2014 until June 2014. The effluent quality  of result research proved that  the treated water quality meets  water quality standards are set with  Permenkes RI N0.416/Menkes/Per/IX/1990, dated 3 September 1990. The nitrification and denitrification also proceed well so that the concentration of nitrite and nitrate meet the quality standards. In addition, the percentage removal of heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, selenium, lead) can reach 99%. Keywords: MBR, wastewater reuse, BOD5, COD, HRT dan SRT

The general existing low temperature problem in winter of north-city sewage treatment plant in the process of waste water treatment seriously affect the efficiency of the work. The research objective of this paper is to conduct investigate in the application of AICS method in Jilin Province, a sewage treatment plant engineering example has been employed to monitor the effluent of the indicators of sewage treatment under the low temperature condition during the winter the winter low temperature under the condition of sewage treatment plant effluent of the indicators; to understand the operation situation of sewage treatment plant, and to study the efficiency of hydrolysis - AICS processing waste-water. The result shows that: hydrolysis - AICS process works well in low temperature condition, the per TN removal rate is 76.79%, average removal rate of NH3 - N is 85.76%, average TP removal rate was 93.4%, the average COD removal rate was 90.6%. The effluent meet the national level A discharge standard requirements of "urban sewage treatment plant pollutant discharge standard". And through the retrenchment of the second pond and other ancillary equipment, Hydrolysis-AICS process could efficiently reduce the costs. Besides, the advantages of Hydrolysis-AICS process also include occupying small area, and operating easily and simply. Therefore Hydrolysis-AICS process is very helpful to achieve the sewage discharging standard in the northern towns.

The waste water treatment system of the central region Linz is described. Because of the construction of the hydroelectric plant in Abwinden-Asten a central sewage treatment plant for 22 communities and the waste waters of the chemical and steel industry was constructed. Purification efficiency in terms of BOD5 is 93 % and 83 % for COD. The anaerobic digested sludge is deposited in lagoons.

The article deals with theoretical and practical aspects of biological waste water rehabilitation of sugar factories by algocoenosis correction. This technology allows you to transfer domestic sewage treatment plant of filtration mode fields in the biological treatment ponds mode, significantly reducing the area of sewage treatment plants, thus improving the quality of treated waste water, which will, in turn, use them repeatedly reducing total water consumption.

Sludges are byproducts of sewage treatment process. Land application of sewage sludge is one of the final steps of waste water treatment, but solubilization of toxic metals restricts this method of sludge disposal. In our paper cobalt, zinc, cadmium and cesium sorption by suspension of non-treated activated sewage sludge (14 g/dm3, dry wt.) from waste water spiked with 60CoCl2, 65ZnCl2, 109CdCl2 or 137CsCl were determined in laboratory experiments at 20°C. Activated sludge supplied by the municipal sewage treatment plant in Zeleneč (Trnava region, Slovakia) showed high efficiency to sorb Co2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Cs+ ions from waste water pH 6-7. The process can be characterized by the concentration equilibrium (Csolid/Cliquid) typical for sorption processes. Efficiency of the sorption increased in the order Cs < Co < Zn < Cd. Metal sorption process was not inhibited by pretreatment of the sludge with 0.2% formaldehyde or thermal inactivation at 60°C, what confirms that the process was not dependent on metabolic activity of the sludge. Cobalt, zinc, cadmium and cesium were easily removable from the sludge by washing with diluted HCl, EDTA or water solutions of the corresponding metal ions, but with low efficiency by deionized water.

Abstract The treatment of wastewater is an essential factor in preventing pollutants and promoting the quality of the water. The inherent complexity, influential impact and the solid waste infrastructure lead to confusion and variance in the primary clarifier for wastewater. These inconsistencies lead to variations in the purity and capacity constraints of wastewater and the existential impact of water receipt. The water treatment is a complicated task that has means of chemical, technical & biochemical influences. A credible ANN method is necessary for another waste water treatment plant to prevent the breakdown of the processes. Virtual reality seems to have become a strong solution for preventing waste management uncertainties and problems. This is not only due to high deformations but also to significant external disturbances that water systems are controlling challenges. Climate is among the most significant of such disturbances. Various environmental conditions actually include different influx frequencies and levels of substances. Water contamination has become one of the extremely serious growing conservation; sewage treatment plant identification is a key major issue here and the agencies enforce tighter requirements for the operating of wastewater software systems. This article plans to create models of achievement and prospects for the possible future guidance of recent research borders for the use of artificial intelligence in wastewater treatment plants which concurrently deal with pollutants. This study has shown us that the composite ANN provides a greater level of competence in plant prediction and systemization.
