Based on route and sample-plot survey, plant resources of Liangzi Lake Wetland Nature Reserve were investigated. The result showed that there were 503 species of spermatophyte belonging to 296 genera of 86 families. There were 5 species under national first and second level protection. The dominant families of spermatophyte contained 20 species and above. The dominant genera of spermatophyte contained 4 species and below. The 86 families of spermatophyte can be divided into 7 distribution types and 4 variants. Tropic distribution type was dominant, accounting for 70.83% in total (excluding cosmopolitans). The 296 genera of spermatophyte can be divided into 14 distribution types and 9 variants. Temperate elements were a little more than tropical elements, accounting for 50.84% and 49.16% in total (excluding cosmopolitans) respectively. Reserve had 3 Chinese endemic genera, reflecting certain ancient and relict. The purpose of the research is to provide background information and scientific basis for the protection, construction, management and rational utilization of plant resources in the reserve.

In recent years, in order to provide theoretical and scientific basis for the protection and rational utilization of plant resources in Lon longquan mountain gquan Mountain, the seed plants in Longquan Mountain were taken as the research object, and the field investigation was carried out by using the method of line plus typical sample plot, so as to further study the characteristics of investigated area were further studied. The results show: There are 231 species of 191 genus in 90 families, including 5 families, 9 genus and 11 species of gymnosperms, and 82 species of 182 genus and 85 species of angiosperms. The 14 distribution types of seed plants belong to the statistics: North temperate distribution There are 72 genus, accounting for 37.7% of the total genus of the area, reflecting the obvious north temperate nature of the flora. In addition, there are many ancient taxa and Cretaceous and Tertiary relict plants. There are 163 genus of single genus and genus genus, accounting for 85.3% of the total genus of the region, indicating that the plant origin is relatively old, there are 7 genus in China, which indicates that the unique phenomenon exists, but it is not obvious.

Based on the survey data of plant resources in Cao Lake Wetland Nature Reserve, using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and square root method, the evaluation system of plant priority protection was constructed. From three aspects of endangered coefficient, genetic coefficient and species coefficient, the plant species in the reserve were evaluated quantitatively and comprehensively, and the protection levels were divided. The results showed that there were 179 plant species in nature reserve, including 5 endangered species, 9 vulnerable species, 41 near threatened species and 124 least concerned species. The priority protection levels of plants were determined, including 1 species of the primary protection, 12 species of the secondary protection, 20 species of the tertiary protection and 146 species of the delayed protection, and corresponding protection suggestions were put forward. The purpose is to provide more effective background information and data support for the plant protection work and to help protect biodiversity.

PurposeThe authors' goal in writing this article was to provide background information and detailed considerations to assist those wishing to provide patent and trademark assistance at their libraries. The major considerations include staffing, spaces and resources, with the time commitment from the staff being the most significant.Design/methodology/approachThis paper combined the experiences of an author relatively new to patent and trademark librarianship with one who has years of experience. These were used in tandem with knowledge gained from a decade of attendance at annual week-long seminars at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as well as by way of a comprehensive literature review.FindingsThe main commitment needed in providing patent and trademark services to the public is not money but the investment of time, which includes professional development, staffing, teaching classes and workshops, outreach and consultations.Originality/valueThe information in this paper should serve as guidance to anyone new to providing patent and trademark services within their libraries, including those at Patent and Trademark Resource Centers (PTRCs), Patent Information Centres (PATLIBs) and beyond. Although articles have been published on various aspects of intellectual property (IP) and libraries, a comprehensive guide to providing patent and trademark services has yet to be published.

Much of the piping in a nuclear plant is designed to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Class 2 or 3 requirements. The Code rules are given in NC/ND-3600 of Section III. These rules were developed from the B31.1 rules, and incorporated into Section III 1971 for nuclear components. However, the Class 2/3 piping Code requirements have changed significantly since that time. There is not a criteria document available from ASME that describes the Class 2/3 piping rules. The purpose of this paper is to provide background information and a discussion of the Code stress limits so that the piping analyst can properly interpret the meaning of the Code requirements.

Single and multiplayer serious Kinect games have been used in many different areas, including education. Due to its relative newness as a technology, a dearth of literature exists concerning the requirements for the use of Kinect games in educational settings. A comprehensive review was conducted to include various perspectives in order to provide background information on the existing research base that upholds the educational uses of these games. The review was built on empirical and theoretical studies conducted in the area of multiplayer Kinect games. A total of (748) articles were screened and (71) coded. While an abundance of convergent evidence from closely related domains has been produced on the subject, providing a set of recommendations for its proper usage; few studies have focused specifically on the role, development and effects of multiplayer Kinect games in educational settings. The potential for Kinect games to enhance learning experiences within educational contexts is promising; however, care must be taken to account for physical safety, emotional safety, and activity structure. Specific recommendations for addressing these important aspects of the use of multiplayer Kinect games are described in detail in the body of this manuscript.

A survey has been carried out to establish information on foot loading in amputee stance. The parameters measured are percentage body weight and the positions of the centres of pressure under each foot. The data was collected in a clinical environment by the use of a Double Video Forceplate (DVF), a tool developed at the Bioengineering Centre. The objective of the survey is to provide background information for the use of the DVF in static alignment of lower-limb prostheses. Results are presented from a number of patients attending the Roehampton Walking Training School, and for a small group of patients attending the Bioengineering Centre for delivery of an experimental below-knee prosthesis. Scattergrams and averaged results provide normative data which can assist in interpretation of DVF displays during individual alignment.

Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve (Dong Nai Reserve) is the biggest reserve in the Southern East region of Vietnam. The territory of Dong Nai Reserve consists of three land parcels located in the communes of Ma Da, Hieu Liem and Phu Ly, Vinh Cuu district in Dong Nai province. Dong Nai Reserve was established with three major objectives: to preserve the diversity of the natural forest ecosystem within Dong Nai province to preserve and promote the cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments) of the region to preserve biological diversity and to develop ecological tourism. The study showed that people living in the surroundings of Dong Nai Reserve forest used various plant species as remedies for several ailments listed in the study area. Plants are the only available and accessible resources for first cares as health base centers are far from the Phu Ly village. 90 species were cited by people for their medicinal uses, among them 10 species were the most used medicinal plants. Araceae family was found to have had the highest number of species used in treating these ailments. Most of the medicinal plants used in our study area were collected from the forest and cultivation. Local people showed strong agreement on the use of plants for peoples care. Cho Ro ethnic group holds valuable knowledge about uses of medicinal plant resources which is inherited through generations however this knowledge was not documented. The study highlights the need for documenting and publicizing the traditional medicinal knowledge which will provide basic data for further research and conservation.
