The article is devoted to the use of solar maps to determine the period of unwanted insolation and the amount of thermal radiation that penetrates into the tractor cabin throughout the entire working day. In addition, an optimal form of a sun-protection device has been proposed, which makes it possible to reduce the magnitude of the exposure dose of thermal radiation affecting the operator. Since solar radiation makes the main contribution to the heat balance of the cabins of mobile machines (tractors, combines, etc.), the results obtained can mainly be used in assessing the working conditions of operators and in calculating and choosing systems for normalizing the microclimate (ventilation and air conditioning).

Cooling module simulation for vehicle has been built according to the heat balance test, and the simulation results are compared with the test data to verify the authenticity of the module. This simulation model provides an effective platform for vehicle thermal management analysis. Module is used to simulate the air conditioning running and to find how different ambient temperaturesto effect the performance of the cooling module. The air conditioning working and ambience temperaturewhichis significantly influence the performance of the cooling system.

The objective of this work was to evaluate farming machines adapted to forestry work and to verify if their characteristics meet the safety, ergonomics and working conditions necessary to maintain the health and safety of the operators. Thus, three farming tractors were selected, with a closed cabin and a minimum power of 73.5 kW, a widely used specification in the forestry sector. The following ergonomic parameters were considered: acess to the cab, cab dimensions, visibility, seat, controls and operation, work posture, cabin air conditioning, noise, lighting and maintenance aspects. The evaluations were based on the guidelines contained in the “Ergonomic Guidelines for Forest Machines” of the Swedish Forestry Research Institute, developed for forestry machines. The results showed that all the evaluated machines presented ergonomic standards below those indicated in all evaluated aspects, particularly related to access to the work station and difficulties during mechanical maintenance, besides the necessity of adopting forced postures during the working day due to operator’s seats. It was concluded that the farming machines adapted for work in forest processes presented significant gaps in relation to the ergonomic aspects, which represents high and imminent risks of development of occupational diseases in their operators, as well as the predisposition to work accidents.

In order to evaluate the energy-saving effect of Distributed Cooling System (DCS) analytically, the heat balance model of DCS in a TBS is established and then dynamic simulation is employed. The numeral results show that DCS has much better energy-saving effect than traditional air conditioning (AC) and the energy-saving effect is steady all year round.

The article considers the results of research conducted during electric contact heating of rye-wheat dough pieces. It is established that the electrical conductivity of the crumb dough does not depend on the total humidity of the material, but mainly on the amount of free moisture. Using the current and temperature graphs, you can imagine how free moisture changes during the baking process and the influence of the thermophysical and colloidal process on the change in the value of free moisture. Experimentally determined the amount of heat that is spent on baking 1 kg of bread. The accuracy of the theoretical calculation of this parameter in the heat balance of the baking chamber is confirmed.

Accidents of icing on catenary have great impacts on normal operation of trains. An on-line anti-icing technology used static var generator (SVG) for catenary was proposed, which can prevent icing formation without interrupting trains normal operation. The heat balance equations for catenary were solved, whose results were compared with data provided by TB/T 3111 and testing show the equation was correct. The simulation model based on Matlab was bulit , whose results and analysis show the correctness of the method.

Complex open gas turbine cycles are analyzed by applying the heat balance method presented in Part I of this paper. Reheating, intercooling, regeneration, steam injection, and steam cooling are evaluated graphically to give a visual perspective of what takes place in terms of the overall heat balance when such complexities are introduced to the cycle. An example of a viable, new, intercooled regenerative cycle is given. A second example of a prototype reheat gas turbine is also included. The overall approach using the heat balance method can be applied to various cogeneration configurations when considering the more complex cycles of the future.
