A “Gold town” is a characteristic town featuring gold industry and being operated by leading enterprises. Xintai Group in gold and jewelry industry has launched a “Gold Town” project in Houjie, Dongguan, Guangdong by taking advantage of its own capital and technology, seizing the opportunity of gold and jewelry industry transformation and gathering the strength of traditional gold and jewelry industry in Houjie. “Gold Town” is a key project supported by the local government in response to the national call. When setting up this project, Xintai Group introduced the characteristic development concept of European towns and optimized its own industrial structure, and meanwhile it aimed to build an industrial ecological base of gold and jewelry town and aggregate industrial development resources. This project has been partially completed and the first phase has been transferred to the production and operation stage. Therefore, it is of great significance for both Xintai Group and the local government to explore the appropriate development strategy of the “Gold Town” project.

Emergence of the COVID-19 crisis has catalyzed rapid paradigm shifts throughout medicine. Even after the initial wave of the virus subsides, a wholesale return to the prior status quo is not prudent. As a specialty that values the proper application of new technology, radiation oncology should strive to be at the forefront of harnessing telehealth as an important tool to further optimize patient care. We remain cognizant that telehealth cannot and should not be a comprehensive replacement for in-person patient visits because it is not a one for one replacement, dependent on the intention of the visit and patient preference. However, we envision the opportunity for the virtual patient “room” where multidisciplinary care may take place from every specialty. How we adapt is not an inevitability, but instead, an opportunity to shape the ideal image of our new normal through the choices that we make. We have made great strides toward genuine multidisciplinary patient-centered care, but the continued use of telehealth and virtual visits can bring us closer to optimally arranging the spokes of the provider team members around the central hub of the patient as we progress down the road through treatment.

The methods of controlling Highway semi-rigid base asphalt pavement cracks and other diseases are always hot fields of road engineering and academic circles. The existing methods are on some degree efficient on delaying the formation and extension of cracks, but the effect is limited with different methods and various mechanisms of preventing cracks. Base on force analysis of pavement, this article presents a new technology of crack controlling which uses intelligent composite materials interlayer. By adding a stress absorbing layer between the asphalt surface layers or the semi-rigid base layers with low modulus, good toughness, self-adaptability and self-control ability, the intelligent composite materials interlayer has a good effect on controlling cracks which has been proved by the theoretical calculations and experimental analysis. As a result, the intelligent composite materials interlayer could efficiently prevent and delay the formation and extension of cracks, the safety and comfort of highway could be improved significantly while the cost of construction and maintenance decreasing. And the service level and social image of the road could also be improved effectively. This research has important academic and application value.

International operators are seeking, investigating and pursuing new business opportunities in the Arctic. While operating in the Arctic, there will be a considerable need for vessels to keep their position during various operations which may include lifting, installation, crew change, evacuation, and maybe drilling. Opposed to open water, the drifting ice poses severe limitations as to how stationkeeping operations may be carried out. Dynamic positioning systems are currently developed aiding stationkeeping without mooring systems. There is a considerable need to enhance the open water DP systems for use in a new forcing environment. Essentially a new technology has to be developed with time. For that reason, considerable knowledge is required concerning current limitations and boundary conditions. This paper addresses some of the generic challenges related to DP operations in ice together with relevant learnings which are employed in mentioned DP enhancements.


The growth in world trade and hence the demand for shipping is expected to continue into the 1980s despite the present temporary recession. Many countries in the Mediterranean and Pacific area and in South and Central America see shipbuilding as their way to start along the road to industrial development, and will be favoured by good climatic and labour conditions which can now be joined to imported modern technology. Conventional shipbuilding will therefore grow rapidly in these countries. Western countries will be able to preserve their shipbuilding industries by keeping in the forefront ol technical development and by a rigorous examination of designs from the production point of view, in order to reduce the labour content, and make the management and control simpler. This means changing from a largely labour intensive craft industry to a capital intensive, manufacturing industry. In order to sustain this type of industry long runs of similar ships, standard components, modulai constructions much of it in production lines, using group technology, will be the pattern in the 1980s. Much research and development is already devoted to these techniques and the industry is already at the early stages of changing over to this type of working.

Industry 4.0 is an era of technological disruption or industrial revolution 4.0 because it puts more emphasis on system automation and connectivity which will make the mobility of the industrial world movement and  job competition non-linear . The use of digital technology is one of the keys. Industry opportunities for industrial development 4.0 are an effort to increase industrial competitiveness, but many industries do not yet understand the concept and how to start the stages. One of the ways proposed as a policy in preparing industry 4.0 should be taken a multi-stakeholder collaborative approach to facilitate development, including gathering digital transformation initiatives so that limited resources can be optimal. As a form of soft industry policy, a platform organization is also needed as a sustainable program manager and provides technical facilities. From a technical point of view, it is necessary to prepare enabling technology that can be utilized by all actors in the cross-sectoral digital economy in an affordable manner. The Ecosystem Platform becomes a medium to be able to build synergy and collaborative across industries with all stakeholders in an effort to accelerate the transformation of industry 4.0 according to the national priority program of Making Indonesia 4.0. In line with that, coordination was carried out between parties in the industrial transformation 4.0 process, as well as building networks to develop positive cooperation, including government, academics or R&D, industry players / associations, technical providers, consultants and of course financial actors in accelerating the industrial transformation process 4.0.

Abstract The benefits of WMA technologies include reduced fuel usage and emissions in support of sustainable development, improved field compaction, which can facilitate longer haul distances and cool weather pavement, and better working conditions. Since this is a relatively new technology, it is necessary to determine the behavior and the performances of this type of asphalt mixture depending on additive percent. These technologies tend to reduce the viscosity of the asphalt and provide for the complete coating of aggregates at lower temperatures. WMA is produced at temperatures 20 to 30°C lower than typical hot-mix asphalt (HMA). The paper presents the results obtained in the Road Laboratory of Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest on an asphalt mixture with fibers (MASF16) prepared according to the “warm mix” technology with chemical additive. Different percent of additive are used in laboratory to draw up the “master curves” of asphalt mixture obtained by 4PB-PR stiffness modulus results.

The contradiction between economic development and resource environment has become increasingly acute with the continuous societal and industrial development. The implementation of waste and renewable resource recycling can alleviate the conflict. The multi-project management theory was applied to the construction of an industrial park based on the characteristics of the circular economy theory. In this paper, the basic definition of circular economy and industrial parks was expounded, and the application of circular economy in the planning of parks was studied from five major aspects. From industrial selection, property function and volume allocation planning, industrial park planning and design were studied. Starting from the function structure of the park, the setting of the slag yard outside the park, the green land and the landscape, the road planning of the park, the planning of industrial parks of chemical recycling economy in Gansu was studied. Through empirical analysis, theoretical support and model reference were provided for the construction of circular economy in other industrial parks.

This chapter examines the economic impact of the diffusion of a new technology as cloud computing. This will allow firms to rent computing power and storage from service providers, and to pay on demand, with a profound impact on the cost structure of all the industries, turning some of the fixed costs in marginal costs of production. Such a change will have a substantial impact on the incentives to create new business, and through this, on: investments and macroeconomic growth, job creation in all industries and job reallocation in the ICT sector, and public finance accounts, through the direct impact on the public sector spending and the indirect one on the tax revenues. In this study, the author investigates the consequences of the diffusion of cloud computing on market structures and competition and tries to disentangle the above mentioned aspects with a particular focus on a simulation run for the European economy.
