According to the survey data about the waters of Jiaozhou Bay in May, September, and October 1993, this paper studies the content of PHC and its horizontal distribution in the surface waters of Jiaozhou Bay. The result shows that the range of PHC content in the waters of Jiaozhou bay is 4.16–51.00μg/L, which conforms to the national first, second and third water quality standards. In terms of PHC content, the water quality of Jiaozhou Bay is slightly polluted by PHC content in May, September and October. In May, the range of PHC content in the water of Jiaozhou Bay is 4.16–51.00μg/L, which is slightly polluted by PHC content. In the center of east waters, the water quality is slightly polluted by PHC content and the range of PHC content in other water fields of Jiaozhou Bay is 4.16–48.40μg/L which indicates that the water quality is not polluted by PHC content. In September, the range of PHC content in the waters of Jiaozhou Bay is 6.17–12.70μg/L, which is not polluted by PHC content. In October, the range of PHC content is 11.40–11.80μg/L, indicating that the waters of Jiaozhou Bay are not polluted by PHC. The content of PHC in the waters of Jiaozhou Bay only has one source, the transportation of marine oil spill, and the PHC content transported is 12.70–51.00μg/L. Therefore, as time changes, the ocean polluted by PHC content resulting from marine oil spill has gradually reduced over the course of the year. The marine oil spill has caused the waters in May to be slightly polluted by the PHC content. By September, the waters are not polluted by the PHC content. And then, in October, the marine oil spill has disappeared.

Various samples of groundwater were collected from different areas of Kandarvakottai and Karambakudi of Pudukkottai District, Tamilnadu and analyzed for their physicochemical characteristics. The results of this analysis were compared with the water quality standards of ISI, WHO and CPHEEO. In this analysis the various physicochemical parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity, turbidity, total dissolved solids, Cl-, F-, SO42-, PO43-, NO3-, NO2-, CN-, Nas+, K+, NH3, Mn, Fe, Ca & Mg hardnessetc., were determined using standard procedures. The quality of groundwater samples were discussed with respect to these parameters and thus an attempt were made to ascertain the quality of groundwater used for drinking and cooking purposes in and around Kandarvakottai and Karambakudi areas.

Research has been conducted to determine the quality of shallow groundwater (dug-wells and shallow bore-wells) and the local communities opinions around the landfill Suwung. The method of determining the station was done by purposive sampling, where the station sampling was determined by selecting a place which was expected to represent the whole area.Water sampling of dug-wells was conducted by using a water sampler and the shallow bore-wells using a 2-liter bottle. Data was analyzed by descriptive comparative referenceto class I water quality of the Bali Governor Regulation No.8 of 2007. The public opinion data was obtained by using aquesioner filled by respondents who have and use wells and shallow bore wells for their daily needsand it was analyzed by using frequency distribution tables.The results showed that the quality of shallow groundwater (dug-wells and shallow bore-wells) did not meet water quality standards in accordance with the rules of the class defined in the Governor of Bali Regulation No. 8 of 2007. The water pollution index (PI) of dug-wells at a distance of 1-400 meters was in hearily polluted category, while water fromshallow bore-wells drilled at a distance of 1-200 meters was in the category of hearily polluted and at a distance of 201-400 meters was in the category of medium polluted.There was an increasing range of groundwater quality deterioration in 1997, 2008 and 2014. In 1997, contaminated shallow groundwater has occured at a distance of 80 meters, while in 2008, the pollution has occurred up to a distance of 375 meters and in the year of 2014 the contamination occurred from a distance of 1 meter to 400 meters. The average of score Pollution Index (PI) of Water wells in the year of 2008 amounted to 14.55, while in 2014 up to 15.44. It is estimated that the water quality of dug-wells and bore-wells will meet the quality standards in accordance with the value of the pollution index at a distance of over 5000 meters and 750 meters of the Suwung landfill waste.Most of the respondents who live in the vicinity Suwung landfill waste tend to give an opinion that the shallow groundwater (dug-wells and shallow bore-wells) has decreased quality as drinking water. Approximately 75% of respondents thought that the well water in their environment has been reduced in quality.

The use of surface waters such as rivers for domestic, agricultural andindustrial purposes have made them vulnerable to pollution leading to impairedwater quality. The water quality of Lahug River in Cebu City was evaluated usingcoliforms as indicators, in relation with physicochemical parameters such as biological oxygen demand (BOD), conductivity, dissolved oxygen (DO), nitrate,pH, phosphate, salinity, temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS) and totalsuspended solids (TSS). Sampling was done once a month from November 2011to April 2012 in three stations covering the upstream, midstream and downstream.The multiple tube fermentation technique was used for the analysis of coliforms.The level of these indicator bacteria increased from the upstream towards thelower reaches of the river especially in the months of February to April; however,the difference in values across time was not significant. This implies that therewas a continuous fecal pollution in the river. There were no statistically significantcorrelations between FCs and TCs with the physicochemical parameters. Anegative relationship was observed among FCs and TCs with pH, TSS, DOand nitrate (p>0.05). The aim of this work was to be traced during the summer and autumn of 2009 the level and dynamics of changes in the waters of the port the port Świnoujście general parameters pools water quality. In the work of the General indicators of water temperature, were numbered: pH, BOD5, COD-Cr, Cl-. All the markings and the calculation was performed according to the methods recommended by Polish Standards, applying analytical procedures described in. by Dojlido, Elbanowską, Hermanowicz. Port of Świnoujście is a sea port located on the Gulf of Pomorską, on the southern coast of the Baltic Sea, on the islands of Usedom and Wolin. The Port is located at the Świna, in Świnoujście, West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The port can be placed on ships with a maximum length of 42.0 m and width 260,0 m, draught 12.8 m. The tides in the Harbor, but the water level fluctuations are possible with sudden currents entering and outgoing, which depending on the direction of prevailing winds and reaching speeds of up to 1.5 knots. At the entrance to the port at the West breakwater, It is Western. The primary function of the port of Świnoujście is the transshipment of cereals, ores, oil, paper, cellulose, general cargo, coal, iron. Trying to test water were collected by PN/C-04632.03 with a depth of about. 2 m below the water surface. The temperature at the place of sampling were numbered, pH. Collected water samples were fixed in accordance with the recommendations in the Polish Standard-PN/C-04632.04. Other indicators for the quality of the waters have been tagged within 24 hours from the moment of download attempts. The quality objectives was evaluated according to the criteria recommended to evaluate inland surface waters referred to in regulation of the Minister of the environment of 11 February 2004 on the classification for the present status of surface water and groundwater, how to conduct monitoring and how to interpret the results and presentation of these waters. Due to the exposure of the docks the port Świnoujście on the pollution associated with cross-what are the cereals, ores, oil, cellulose, carbon, iron, general research evaluation of the water quality of these pools, you can assess the status of water in order to keep these waters.

The growth in United Kingdom salad production is dependent on irrigation to maintain product quality. There are concerns that irrigation with poor-quality water could pose a disease risk. This article examines the key issues in the emerging debate on the microbiological quality of water used for salad irrigation in the United Kingdom. The links between irrigation water quality and foodborne disease, and the current international guidance on irrigation water quality, are firstly reviewed. The findings indicate that a number of recent food-poisoning outbreaks have been linked to the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables and that unhygienic product handling is implicated as the principal source of contamination. There is also credible evidence that salads contaminated in the field, including by irrigation water, can pose a small disease risk at the point of sale. Although irrigation water–quality standards exist in various forms internationally, there is no nationally agreed on standard used in the United Kingdom. This paper then describes the results of a survey conducted in 2003 of United Kingdom irrigation practices that might influence the microbiological quality of salads. The survey showed that surface water is the principal irrigation water source, that overhead irrigation predominates, that the gap between the last irrigation and harvest may be <24 h in many cases, and that current water-quality monitoring practices are generally very limited in scope. This paper concludes with a discussion of the issues emerging from the review and survey, including the need for improved water-quality monitoring, and the problems associated with establishing water-quality standards that could be either too strict or too lax.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to assess the ground water quality and salinity issues in the fast developing coastal urban lands of two river basins of Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala, South India. Design/methodology/approach In order to address the water quality of the basins, field sampling was conducted and the samples were analysed in the laboratory. A comparison with water quality standards was also made and the interpretations of the results were done using GIS and statistical tools. Findings The values of conductivity, chlorides and salinity show that the coastal areas of Neyyar and Karamana basins are severely affected by salinity intrusion in addition to the pollution problems. More than 90 per cent of the samples are with hardness lower than 100 mg/l. About 70 per cent of the study area is with calcium concentrations lower than 25 mg/l. The content of sulphate and magnesium in Poovar and Poonthura coastal stretches is found to be higher compared to other regions. Originality/value Since not much work has been published from the study area on these aspects, the hydrochemical characterization is a very important in deciphering the quality of ground water for its proper management. The water quality evaluation and salinity intrusion studies are very important for the future planning and development of this area.

Proposition O was created to help the City of Los Angeles comply with the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) requirements under the Clean Water Act. In this study, the effectiveness of the Proposition O projects in Los Angeles River watershed was examined to show whether it achieves the goal of meeting water quality standards. Our analysis shows the most effective single project will remove at most 2% of pollutant loads from Los Angeles River Watershed and will not achieve TMDL compliance, although several projects can make important contributions to achieve compliance. The ranking results show that the projects that treat the runoff from the largest drainage area have the greatest impact on the water quality of Los Angeles river.

The lack of clean water distribution by local water service (PDAM) of Palangka Raya city is the major reason for people around the final processing site/landfill (Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir) at Km 14 to use groundwater for their daily life. The landfill may cause pollution over groundwater known as leachate, which commonly unnoticed by its users. This study aims at assessing the quality of groundwater in that area. The groundwater was taken at different distances from the site in three rainless-days. The physical, chemical and biology parameters of groundwater are observed in the field (in situ) and analyzed in the laboratory, refers to water quality standard of Class I, according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 and Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017. Public opinion on that issue is cached through interview. The results showed that the groundwater around the landfill in three rainless-days was harmless to be consumed as drinking water, and did not exceed the water quality standards stipulated by government in term of odorless, tasteless, and colorless. Some indicators also show that the groundwater meets the specified quality standards, i.e. TDS (17-68.14 mg/L), DHL (17,15-69.39 ?s), turbidity (0.11-2.50 mg/L), iron (0.227-0.71 mg/L), manganese (<0.0123-0.02 mg/L), coliform (<1.8-280 MPN/100 ml), while Pb and H2S were not detected. From community side, there are no any health complaints arise as long as they use the water.

Pendahuluan : Air merupakan sumber daya alam yang dilukan untuk hajat hidup orang banyak (Efendi, 2003). Berdasarkan . Men. Kes. No. 492/MENKES//IV/2010, bahwa air minum adalah air yang melalui proses pengolahan atau tanpa pengolahan memenuhi syarat kesehatan dapat langsung diminum. Desa Kukuh, Kecamatan Marga, Kabupaten Tabanan terbagi menjadi 8 banjar dinas, salah satunya adalah banjar dinas Tatag yang menjadi pusat dalam pemanfaatan sumber mata air minum pada wilayah desa tersebut. Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif tentang uji kelayakan kualitas air berdasarkan parameter kimia dan mikrobiologi dari sumber mata air di Desa Kukuh, Kecamatan Marga, Kabupaten Tabanan. Hasil: Hasil identifikasi kelayakan kualitas air minum yang telah dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali pengujian, yaitu pada bulan (Mei, Juli, September) pada tahun 2018 memberikan hasil: a). Pemeriksaan parameter kimia menunjukkan bahwa seluruh parameter yang diujikan berada pada standar yang dibolehkan, sedangkan b). Pemeriksaan parameter mikrobiologi menunjukkan hasil adanya kandungan bakteri Fecal coli pada sampel mata air dengan jumlah rata-rata 100 Fecal coli/100 mL. Diskusi : Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi pada parameter kimia menunjukkan bahwa hasil identifikasi parameter kimia telah sesuai dengan standar kualitas air minum, sedangkan parameter mikrobiologi belum memenuhi standar kualitas air minum disebabkan adanya kandungan bakteri Fecal coli pada sampel mata air dengan jumlah rata-rata  100 Fecal coli/100 mL. Kata Kunci : Kualitas mata air, Parameter Kimia, Parameter Mikrobiologi.   ABSTRACT Introduction: Water is a natural resource needed for the livelihood of many people. Drinking water is water with or without processing that meet health requirements and can be drunk directly, this is based on . Men Kes No. 492/MENKES//IV/2010. Kukuh Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency is divided into 8 banjar dinas, one of which is the Banjar Tagtag, which is the center of the utilization of drinking water sources in the village area. Method: The type of research used is a descriptive study of the feasibility of water quality based on chemical and microbiological parameters on water from a spring source in Kukuh Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency. Results: The results of the identification of the feasibility of drinking water quality that has been carried out three times tn the month of May, July, and September. The results of the identification of chemical and microbiological parameters were  : a). Chemical parameters, showed that all identified parameters are at the missible level. c). Microbiological parameters showed the results of Fecal coli contents in spring samples with and an average number of 100 Fecal coli/100 mL. Discussion: The results of the identification of chemical and microbiological parameters indicated that the identification of chemical parameters were in accordance with drinking water quality standards, while the microbiological parameters did not meet drinking water quality standards, because in the water sample there was the content of Fecal coli bacteria in the spring samples with and average number of 100 Fecal coli/100 mL.
