Research is carried out for design institutes in which the structures of pumping stations are designed. In the regional conditions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, when operating pumping stations, the problem of protecting equipment from pumps and fin is of particular importance, as well as the stability of water supply structures and the creation of favorable hydraulic conditions for supplying flow to the pumps. The main factors in the flow conditions are the calculations associated with suspended particles. The purpose of the research was to study the kinematics of the flow of intake structures in the problem of protecting equipment from pumps and fin. The research subject was to identify the regularities of the operation of intake structures depending on the structure of the flow supply. Experimental methods of hydraulic research of intake structures of pumping stations are used in the work. The analysis of the current state of water supply to the intake structures of pumping stations is carried out based on calculation schemes, which make it possible to establish the nature of the influence of flow parameters and soil particles on this process.

Abstract Water supply has pronounced priority, over other forms of water use. The term water supply includes the ensure of high quality water in general terms, for households, public needs and economic activities. The Republic of Serbia disposes with considerable underground and surface water resources, which are used for supplying, but it is required their rational utilization. The aim of this study is to show the current state of water supply on the territory of Serbia based on the analysis of the different indicators. One of the goal is to scan prevalent conditions and problems related to it and to propose optimal solutions. The survey includes an explanation of the long - term needs of the Republic of Serbia for fresh water (as well as share of different sources in the total water supply) and estimation of the possibility of satisfying that needs from available resources. On the base of that, there are adopted conclusions about basic directions of further development in the field of water management and water supply in Serbia.

Vietnam is currently facing major challenges from ongoing water pollution in urban rivers. In the city of Hanoi, the amount of domestic waste water, industrial waste water, and waste water from unprocessed trade villages are discharged directly into the rivers, which are the main causes of water pollution. The biggest problem now is how to deal with the current state of water pollution in the inner rivers of Hanoi with the focus on Day, Nhue, and To Lich river systems. This article presents the study to determine Route Works for a gravity based water supply system that provides continuous flows to these rivers. Then, the one-dimensional hydrodynamic model (HEC-RAS V4.1) is used as a basis for assessing the effectiveness of the solution. Through the results of the study, it was once again confirmed that the construction of a gravity based water supply system is feasible, both to improve the aquatic environment of the rivers and to ensure the supply of irrigation water for production.

The development of globalization processes and, as a result, “blurring of borders” between countries give rise to fierce competition in food markets. In such conditions, ensuring food security largely depends on the efficiency of agricultural production. One of the factors of its stability, regardless of the influence of weather and climatic conditions, especially in areas of risky agriculture, including the Republic of Tatarstan, is irrigation. The research was carried out to assess the current state of the development of irrigated agriculture and its economic efficiency in the Republic of Tatarstan. The efficiency of irrigation was studied in Arsk and Laishevsky municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan when water was supplied, respectively, by diesel (“Kyrlay” LLC) and electrified pumping stations (“Narmonka” LLC). The object of research is potatoes on a total area of 258 hectares. It is not clear how it is possible to conduct research in different farms with different methods of water supply, and to carry out calculations for the total area. The costs of irrigation with 5-fold irrigation with water supply by electrified pumping stations paid off 11.9 times. Direct costs per 1 hectare of potatoes with a planned yield of 250 c/ha amounted to 110,590 rubles/ha, including 5-time irrigation - 10,235 rubles/ha, or 9.2%. The cost of production during irrigation decreases, in comparison with cultivation without irrigation, 2 times or more. A ruble of direct costs for irrigation provides additional products worth more than 12 rubles. According to Federal State Budgetary Institution “Tatmeliovodkhoz” Management”, it is much more profitable to grow fruit and berry and vegetable crops on irrigation. This should push for structural changes in favor of irrigated production of highly marginal crops

The aim of the research is to identify the hydrodynamic regularities in the improvement of operating modes in the water supply structures of pumping stations with vertical vane pumps. The authors studied the conditions for supplying water to the pumping station and the flow path of the pumps of the OP2...OP10 type. The curvature of the flow jets causes the swirl of the flow in front of the impellers, directed counterclockwise for the units located to the left of the axis in the direction of the flow and clockwise - located to the right. With such a flow structure, in the most unfavorable hydraulic conditions there are pumps, the direction of rotation of the impellers of which coincides with the direction of the natural swirl of the flow. The nature of hydraulic losses in the impeller of an axial pump in a wide range of feed changes within (0.1...0.4) Qо has been established. When the direction of rotation of the vortex α coincides with the direction of rotation of the pump, the decrease in flow reaches 0.5 Q0 for OPV 10 pumps, and (0.6 ... 0.7) Q0 for OP2...OP6 pumps. Impellers of axial-flow pumps must be designed taking into account shear phenomena.

The article proposes the algorithm for the environmental and hydro/economic assessment of rural territories in Altai Kray based on combination of two groups of indicators, that is environmental and water/economic ones. The environmental block consists of indicators describing quantity and quality of the water resources used. Attention focuses on groundwater as the main source of water supply in rural areas. The water/economic block comprises the indicators describing the current state of water supply in rural settlements.Within the framework of environmental/water/economic estimation, we have solved two problems: 1) classification of rural regions of Altai Kray by indicators reflecting the state of the drinking water supply sector, 2) differentiation of water management problems in Altai Kray for developing a set of measures for their mitigation. We have defines four categories of environmental/water/economic estimation: conditionally satisfactory, stresses, critical states, and crisis. According the character and the degree of obviousness of the problems under investigation four clusters of the Altai Kray administrative regions have been identified. Each of them is characterized by the common features of water sector development.

The article examines the problem of fresh water, since in terms of water supply from its own resources per capita and per 1 km2, the republic is 8 times behind Georgia, 2 times behind Armenia. Significant water consumption in Azerbaijan is caused by its arid territory with a predominance of active temperature and a lack of precipitation, which leads to intensive irrigation of crops. At the same time, artificial irrigation is used on 70% of the cultivated land.
