The article is devoted to studying the problem of emotional burnout syndrome in teachers. The development of burnout syndrome in teachers is influenced by organizational and individual factors. Organizational factors include the conditions of the material environment, the content of work, and socio-psychological conditions of activity. The group of individual factors that affect the development of emotional burnout syndrome in teachers includes socio-demographic (age, experience, gender) and personal characteristics. According to the authors, emotional burnout is a link between a person and the environment. And the task of participants in the educational process is timely work to prevent the impact of potential “provocateurs” of burnout syndrome.

A prerequisite for the occurrence of physicians’ burnout syndrome may be their professional activity, which acts as a professional affiliation in the context of their whole life activity. The personal factor of physician manifests itself in that how consciously professional activity are carried out including a whole life taking into account individual characteristics, personal goals and objectives outlined in a time perspective. Personal characteristics associated with the manifestations of emotional burnout syndrome: anxiety, introversion, spontaneity, rigidity have been identified in physicians of clinical bases of the Urals and Siberia. We revealed the prevalence of symptoms indicating emotional burnout: the experience of psycho-traumatic circumstances, the expansion of the sphere of saving emotions, psychosomatic and psycho-vegetative disorders. Diagnostic method of emotional burnout level allowed us to diagnose the leading symptoms of emotional burnout and determine which phase of the syndrome development they are related to «tension», «resistance» or «exhaustion». The article is devoted to the study of emotional burnout syndrome in students of medical higher educational institutions at different stages of training. The study was based on the assumption that medical students at different stages of professional training have differences in the emotional and personal sphere, in the level of sociopsychological adaptation and in the level of empathy. The aim of the study was to study the psychological aspects of burnout syndrome in medical university students at different stages of vocational training. To achieve this goal, methods were used to study emotional and personal characteristics and socio-psychological adaptation. The study revealed differences in the emotional and personal sphere and in the level of sociopsychological adaptation. Also, there are targets of influence for psychocorrective and psychoeducational work with students, namely non-adaptive adaptation strategies, ways to overcome stress and a negative assessment of prospects. And for the prevention of burnout syndrome, it is advisable to use the Stress Management program, which is aimed at teaching and training ways to effectively get out of difficult stressful situations and preserve the resource state, goal-setting skills and proactive thinking, as well as the study of various relaxation techniques.

Introduction. The paper presents the authors’ view on the psychohygiene of the activity in entrepreneurs under which, on the one hand, the assessment of the business environment, on the other one - psycho-prevention and psycho-correction measures to preserve the mental health of the subjects engaged in business are understood. These conditions included economic, psychological, social aspects of entrepreneurship, which tend to cumulate, lead to a blockade of the ability and opportunities for self-development of the individual and subsequently to the emotional burnout syndrome of entrepreneurs. The peculiarities of psycho-correction work and the methods of preventing the emotional burnout syndrome were revealed. Results and their discussion. Among those who appealed for counseling, 67.9% of the entrepreneurs felt psychoemotional, physical and intellectual overloads. The starting mechanism for the formation of preneurotic sub-depressive states included maladaptation in relation to the professional role performed. However, the development of the emotional burnout syndrome is a reversible process, which, in turn, allows being successfully leveled using psychotherapy and psycho-correction. Conclusion. In the development of psycho-prevention and psycho-correction measures to preserve the mental health of the subjects engaged in business, the following ones are fundamental: the work with the entrepreneur to understand his emotional problem, identifying the source of stress from the position of self-organization, training the entrepreneur to grade stress, transforming the problems in favor of his own development. Primary psycho-prevention helps to predict the impact of negative factors on the psyche of entrepreneurs, the secondary one forms the correct perception of negative circumstances and the ability to cope with stress. Time management, the correct organization of the workplace, knowledge of modern technologies enhances the psycho-correction effect. In addition, the basic model of psychological aid to entrepreneurs should be complemented by anti-stress management training.

The article analyzes the impact of emotional burnout on the development of modern enterprises in the context of expanding international economic relations. Information on the main causes of emotional burnout in staff is given, namely: excessive workload, work involving prolonged interaction with people, imbalance between personal and professional life, lack of proper recreation, inability of employees to organize their time (the lack of time-management skills), inflated requirements for themselves, lack of appropriate remuneration from the employer organization and employee motivation. The categories of professions whose representatives are most prone to emotional burnout are identified. Data on the most common signs of emotional burnout of staff are presented. The consequences of ignoring the psycho-emotional state of employees of the enterprise on the results of work are also generalized. Information on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the emotional state of the personnel of enterprises in various industries is presented (special attention is paid to the impact of the emotional burnout syndrome on medical and educational workers). The problem of quantitative measurement of the emotional burnout syndrome is raised, information on the emotional burnout syndrome is presented, which is the result of a survey of 1,029 US residents in 2017. Information on phenomena similar to the emotional burnout syndrome (depression and stress) is given. There are two approaches to the selection of stages of emotional burnout - the approach of J. Greenberg, who identifies five stages of emotional burnout, and V. Boyko, who identifies three stages. In addition, methods of elimination of emotional burnout and prevention measures are summarized, recommendations for employees of the enterprise and for management on combating this phenomenon are given.

- The contribution illustrates the results of a research on the determinants of the burnout syndrome. This was carried out in four Piemontese hospitals in order to put into practice actions of prevention of the surveyed discomfort. The aim is to compare, besides the traditional individual factors, the determinants belonging to the interpersonal sphere and those that may be traced back to the organizational dimension. The regression analysis allow to define a sort of priority map for the following intervention, that is to locate wards and professional groups more at risk, in relation to the critical group and/or organizational state. Results also show the role that interpersonal factors play in the onset, the structuring and the evolution of the syndrome.Keywords: burnout syndrome, public health, organizational factors.Parole chiave: sindrome di burnout, sanitŕ pubblica, fattori organizzativi.

PurposeThe objective of this study is to investigate the factors of two sub-processes – knowledge donating and knowledge collecting – of knowledge sharing in Hong Kong higher education context. This study examines the individual factors, organizational factors and technology factor of knowledge sharing. Individual factors include enjoyment in helping others and knowledge self-efficacy while organizational factors refer to the top management support, organizational rewards and organizational culture. The use of technology system is proposed to be the technology factor.Design/methodology/approachBased on the literature review, this study develops a structural model representing the impact of six latent variables on knowledge donating and knowledge collecting processes Data from a questionnaire survey of 166 respondents from academics from Hong Kong higher education sector was used to analyze the model. PLS-SEM was adopted in this study.FindingsThe result of the data analysis suggests enjoyment in helping others has a positive impact on both knowledge donating and knowledge collecting. For organizational factors, a trust and collaborative culture enhance both the sub-processes. The technology factor only contributes to the knowledge donating process. Several practical implications are provided to high education leaders, for instance, by establishing a trust and collaborative environment, academics are more eager to donate and collect knowledge.Originality/valueThis paper provides insights for researchers to further understand how individual, organizational and technology factors affect two sub-processes of knowledge sharing. On the practical side, this study validated several critical factors to successful knowledge donation and knowledge collection.
