High school GPAs (HSGPAs) are often perceived to represent inconsistent levels of readiness for college across high schools, whereas test scores (e.g., ACT scores) are seen as comparable. This study tests those assumptions, examining variation across high schools of both HSGPAs and ACT scores as measures of academic readiness for college. We found students with the same HSGPA or the same ACT score graduate at very different rates based on which high school they attended. Yet, the relationship of HSGPAs with college graduation is strong and consistent and larger than school effects. In contrast, the relationship of ACT scores with college graduation is weak and smaller than high school effects, and the slope of the relationship varies by high school.

The action that connects survivors of cardiac arrest is called the Chain of Survival. Chain of Survival. The role of CPR bystander is very important to save cardiac arrest victims, therefore training and knowledge about CPR are being disseminated to ordinary people including in Indonesia. According to a preliminary study obtained by researchers, education about basic life assistance has been taught in several state high schools in Malang, especially in material taught at the Youth Red Cross (PMR). The purpose of this study is to to determine the relationship of cognitive knowledge level with the willingness to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in adolescents in poor public high schools. Method In this research, This study used a correlational analytic design with a crossectional approach to determine the relationship of cognitive knowledge level with the willingness to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in adolescents. The study sample consisted of 76 respondents. The sampling technique uses cluster sampling. The inclusion criteria for nurses were as follows: PMR members in Malang State High School who were still active, students who were willing to become respondents. While the exclusion criteria: students who are not present at the time of data collection and experience disability / disability. The independent variable of this study is the level of cognitive knowledge while the dependent variable is the willingness to do. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire CPR. Statistical results using the Chi Square test show that the p value is 0.002 (<0.05). This shows that there is a relationship between the level of cognitive knowledge and the willingness to do CPR in adolescents in Malang Senior High School. The better the cognitive cognitive level of a person, the higher a person's willingness to do CPR. Willingness to do CPR will help in minimizing the incidence of cardiac arrest in the community. Keywords: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Willingness, Level of Cognitive Knowledge

During the following year, 95 of 858 teenage women followed up became pregnant, a pregnancy rate of 11.1%. The data show no significant association of self-esteem with subsequent pregnancy. Twelve of the 27 questionnaire items were associated significantly with pregnancy. However, further analysis revealed that either alone or in combination, there were no more than 57% sensitivity and 67% specificity for prediction of subsequent pregnancy from the questionnaires.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship of music ability and intelligence to auditory and visual conservation of the kindergarten child. Observations took place in two kindergartens with a total sample of 34 children. The Simons Measurements of Music Listening Skills (SMMLS) was used to determine the child's music ability; the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (PPVT) tested the child's verbal intelligence. Two criterion tests, the Musical Tasks Test and the Piagetian Tasks Test, were used to measure the child's auditory and visual conservation abilities. Results revealed no significant relationship between auditory and visual conservation. The observed correlation between verbal intelligence and visual conservation, as measured by the PPVT and the Piagetian Tasks Test, was nonsignificant. Music ability was significantly related to auditory conservation. The total regression model, which included variables of music ability, intelligence, and the interaction of music ability/intelligence, was able to predict auditory conservation at the .075 level of significance. Data suggested that educators should not assume that visual conservers are auditory conservers. Data also suggested that children's music ability is a strong indication of their ability to solve auditory conservation tasks.
