In order to identify the relationship between mental and physical disorders in the elderly and senile age, 70 patients were examined in one of the clinics in Arkhangelsk, including 56 (80 %) persons aged 60-74 years and 14 (20 %) people aged 75 years and older. A questionnaire was conducted, data from outpatient records were studied, and the clinical status assessment was used, as well as methods for determining mental and physical condition. The most frequent mental and physical disorders were the cognitive and depressive disorders presence, a high risk of malnutrition syndrome, sarcopenia and falls syndrome, reduced functional capabilities, while senile patients had significantly more pronounced disorders. It has been shown that the cognitive and depressive disorders presence in the elderly and senile increases the falling syndrome risk and reduced functional capabilities, and in old age - sarcopenia syndrome.

The aging of the population has increased the research efforts focused on eldercare. In this area, nutrition is a topic of particular interest. A significant number of problems related with aging have their origin in a deficient nutrition. Many elders suffer changes in their nutritional patterns and these changes can cause serious deterioration of their physical condition. Therefore, to be able to address nutritional problems in the elderly, their nutritional patterns must be recorded and analyzed in an easy and efficient way. From a technological point of view, numerous works focus on monitoring the food intake, not only of elders but also of the general population. However, these works usually do not take into account the problems associated with an aging population. In this paper we present a survey of existing technological solutions for monitoring food intake. The analyzed solution are categorized based on their technological implementation and their adaptation to the needs of an aging population.

Elderly Health Efforts are basic and comprehensive plenary health efforts in the field of elderly health which which promotive, preventive, curatf and rehabilitative so that the elderly can stay healthy. The sports activities at PSTW Budi Luhur Jambi carry out activities held once a week, but the physical condition of the elderly increasingly decreases, it is necessary to do an activity that will move the elderly to have a healthier life, through gymnastics programs for ages. The method of implementation is carried out by examining breathing and pulse before and after carrying out activities by recording their identity (name, age, gender). This activity was held on November 16, 2016, the location of the activity was held in Jambi Paradise tourist site. The results of this activity are respiratory and pulse examinations before and after performing a 15-minute leisurely activity. 10 people (30.3%) had normal breathing, while 9 pulse (30%) had a normal pulse. Examination of breathing and pulse after doing activity obtained results of respiratory calculations as many as 4 people (13.3%) had normal breathing, while the pulse examination as many as 5 people (17%) had a normal pulse.Decreased physical ability of the elderly due to deterioration in the function of the heart and lungs, it is better that physical activity be adjusted to the conditions and physical abilities of the elderly.

Surabaya City government implements article 34 paragraph 1 CONSTITUTION 1945 with Food program, which is given to the underprivileged community.  The food Program started in 2012, the number of food recipients in 2019 has reached 35,414 people. Details, elderly and pre-elderly 20,000 people, orphans, orphans and orphans as many as 6,000 children, as well as a disability of 9,414 people. In Kelurahan Gebang Putih There are 84 food recipients who all consist of the elderly. The food program is very helpful to the elderly to fulfill the needs of primary food, but as good as the program, still leave some issues, among others: the food served is less liked by the recipient because of the physical condition and age, many places to eat the edges are broken and often disappear and food sanitation is less hyginical. To solve the problem: it should be often conducted a meeting between the Dinsos and a food provider who is directly faced with the recipient of the meal so that all issues will be quickly addressed according to the authority.

Introduction. The old people has decreased in physical condition, in function and sexual potency, psychological changes, changes associated with the work, and changes in social roles in society. These cause the elderly dependent in performing self-care. The action to overcome these problems is by delivering logo therapy. The general purpose of this study was to describe the influence of logotheraphy to elderly dependence at Panti Wredha Welas Asih Tasikmalaya. Method. The research design used was a "Quasi-experimental pre-post-test". The sample was purposive sampling with a sample size of 22 elderly. There were four sessions of the Logo therapy's implementation such as identifying clients' changes and problems, identifying the reactions and how to solve problems, the techniques and evaluation of medical ministry. Result. The results showed there was difference in elderly dependency before and after doing Logotherapy (p-value 0.001). Discussion. Logotherapy is recommended to be done in the framework of health services in the community as a form of health care for the elderly who have dependency problems and become the basis of consideration and thoughts in developing and implementing the treatment. Keywords: Logoteraphy, eldery, dependency

The relationship between age-related changes in body physiology and certain acoustic characteristics of voice was studied in a sample of 48 men representing three chronological age grouping (25–35, 45–55 and 65–75) and two levels of physical condition (good and poor). A fundamental frequency analysis program (SEARP) was used to measure mean fundamental frequency, jitter, shimmer, and phonation range from samples of connected speech and sustained vowel production. Subjects in good physical condition produced maximum duration vowel phonation with significantly less jitter and shimmer and had larger phonation ranges than did subjects of similar chronological ages who were in poor physical condition. These differences were most apparent in the production of the elderly subjects. While chronological aging is undoubtedly a contributor to such changes in the acoustic characteristics of voice, these results suggest that age-related changes in body physiology, or physiological aging, also must be considered.

The development of innovative solutions that allow the aging population to remain healthier and independent longer is essential to alleviate the burden that this increasing segment of the population supposes for the long term sustainability of the public health systems. It has been claimed that promoting physical activity could prevent functional decline. However, given the vulnerability of this population, the activity prescription requires to be tailored to the individual’s physical condition. We propose mobile Senior Fitness Test (m-SFT), a novel m-health system, that allows the health practitioner to determine the elderly physical condition by implementing a smartphone-based version of the senior fitness test (SFT). The technical reliability of m-SFT has been tested by carrying out a comparative study in seven volunteers (53–61 years) between the original SFT and the proposed m-health system obtaining high agreement (intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) between 0.93 and 0.99). The system usability has been evaluated by 34 independent health experts (mean = 36.64 years; standard deviation = 6.26 years) by means of the System Usability Scale (SUS) obtaining an average SUS score of 84.4 out of 100. Both results point out that m-SFT is a reliable and easy to use m-health system for the evaluation of the elderly physical condition, also useful in intervention programs to follow-up the patient’s evolution.
