The use of an electric drive in modern vehicles allows solving a number of problems related to the issues of environmental and energy security of the country. However, this approach imposes a number of practical limitations. Among them there is such a significant factor as the limitation on the stored energy in the traction batteries and, as a consequence, the limitation of the mileage on one charge. One of the ways to solve this problem is to reduce mechanical losses associated with the appearance of resonance phenomena in rotating transmission elements and having an unbalanced mass. Goal. The goal is to assess the influence of the Sommerfeld – Kononenko effect on energy indicators during the transfer of rotation from the electric motor to the drive wheel of an electric vehicle. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to determine the law of motion of the rotor of an electric motor and a car wheel using the energy approach and a model of complex motion. Methodology. To solve the problem of determining the law of rotation of an electric motor rotor, a dynamic model of an eccentric vibrator is adopted. The study takes into account the fluctuations in the angular velocity of the shaft with Hooke's hinge when the shaft axis deviates from horizontal positions. It is proposed to apply an energy approach using a model of complex motion to determine the law of rotation of an electric motor rotor and a wheel. Results. The dependence of the speed of rotation of the wheel of an electric vehicle is determined in accordance with the dynamic model under the conditions of fluctuations in the angular speed of transmission elements with Hooke's hinge when the wheel axis deviates from the horizontal position. Practical value. An energy approach is proposed for finding losses in a complex motion model to determine the law of rotation of an electric motor rotor and a wheel. An analytical dependence of additional energy losses caused by wheel unbalance on vehicle mileage and wheel unbalance is found.

Electron microscope design, and particularly the design of the imaging system, has reached a high degree of perfection. Present objective lenses perform up to their theoretical limit, while the whole imaging system, consisting of three or four lenses, provides very wide ranges of magnification and diffraction camera length with virtually no distortion of the image. Evolution of the electron microscope in to a routine research tool in which objects of steadily increasing thickness are investigated, has made it necessary for the designer to pay special attention to the chromatic aberrations of the magnification system (as distinct from the chromatic aberration of the objective lens). These chromatic aberrations cause edge un-sharpness of the image due to electrons which have suffered energy losses in the object.There exist two kinds of chromatic aberration of the magnification system; the chromatic change of magnification, characterized by the coefficient Cm, and the chromatic change of rotation given by Cp.

In the eukaryotic nucleus, DNA is packaged into nucleosomes, and the nucleosome chain folded into ‘30nm’ chromatin fibers. A number of different model structures, each with a specific location of nucleosomal and linker DNA have been proposed for the arrangment of nucleosomes within the fiber. We are exploring two strategies for testing the models by localizing DNA within chromatin: electron spectroscopic imaging (ESI) of phosphorus atoms, and osmium ammine (OSAM) staining, a method based on the DNA-specific Feulgen reaction.Sperm were obtained from Patiria miniata (starfish), fixed in 2% GA in 150mM NaCl, 15mM HEPES pH 8.0, and embedded In Lowiciyl K11M at -55C. For OSAM staining, sections 100nm to 150nm thick were treated as described, and stereo pairs recorded at 40,000x and 100KV using a Philips CM10 TEM. (The new osmium ammine-B stain is available from Polysciences Inc). Uranyl-lead (U-Pb) staining was as described. ESI was carried out on unstained, very thin (<30 nm) beveled sections at 80KV using a Zeiss EM902. Images were recorded at 20,000x and 30,000x with median energy losses of 110eV, 120eV and 160eV, and a window of 20eV.

Volume is a highly regulated property of cells, because it critically affects intracellular concentration. In the present chapter, we focus on the short-term volume regulation in yeast as a consequence of a shift in extracellular osmotic conditions. We review a basic thermodynamic framework to model volume and solute flows. In addition, we try to select a model for turgor, which is an important hydrodynamic property, especially in walled cells. Finally, we demonstrate the validity of the presented approach by fitting the dynamic model to a time course of volume change upon osmotic shock in yeast.

To form a necessary geometry of a hollow billet to be rolled at a pipe rolling line, stable dynamics of the base equipment of the automatic mill working stand has a practical meaning. Among the forces, acting on its parts and elements, significant by value short-time dynamic loads are the least studied phenomena. These dynamic loads arise during transient interaction of the hollow billet, rollers, mandrel and other mill parts at the forced grip of the hollow billet. Basing of the calculation scheme and dynamic model of the mechanical system of the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand was accomplished. A mathematical model of dynamics of the system “hollow billet (pipe) – working stand” within accepted calculation scheme and dynamic model of the mechanical system elaborated. Influence of technological load of the rolled hollow billet variation in time was accounted, as well as variation of the mechanical system mass, and rigidity of the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand. Differential equations of oscillation movement for four-mass model of forked sub-systems of the automatic mill working stand were made up, results of their digital calculation quoted. Dynamic displacement of the stand elements in the inter-roller gap obtained, which enabled to estimate the results of amplitude and frequency characteristics of the branches of the mill rollers setting. It was defined by calculation, that the maximum amplitude of the forced oscillations of elements of the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand within the inter-roller gap does not exceed 2 mm. It is much higher than the accepted value of adjusting parameters of the deformation center of the ТПА 350 automatic mill. A scheme of comprehensive modernization of the rollers setting in the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand was proposed. It was shown, that increase of rigidity of rollers setting in the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand enables to stabilize the amplitude of forced oscillations of the working stand elements within the inter-rollers gap and considerably decrease the induced nonuniform hollow billet wall thickness and increase quality of the rolled pipes at ТПА 350.

The paper considers the monetary dynamic model developed by J. Tobin, the leader of Keynesian economic thought in 1970-1990. Particularly, the author examines q-theory of investment proposed by Tobin which allows to expose the relationship between supply of monetary assets and investment in real capital. Application of various tools of monetary and financial policies is also considered in its different forms. The author aspires to use Tobin's model for the analysis of processes existing in the Russian economy and to test theoretical propositions and relationships elaborated by Tobin on Russian statistics.
