Abstract In the water supply network, leakage of pipes will cause water loss and increase the risk of environmental pollution. For water supply systems, identifying the leak point can improve the efficiency of pipeline leak repair. Most existing leak location methods can only locate the leak point approximately to the node or pipe section of the pipe network, but cannot locate the specific location of the pipe section. This paper presents a framework for accurate location of water supply network leakage based on ResNet. The framework is to pinpoint leaks to specific locations along the pipeline. The leakage of two kinds of pipe networks is simulated. For a pipe network containing 40 pipes, the positioning accuracy of the pipe section is 0.94, and the MSE of the specific location of the leakage point is 0.000435. For the pipe network containing 117 pipes, the positioning accuracy of the pipe section is 0.91, and the MSE of the specific location of the leakage point is 0.0009177, and the leak location ability under different sensor arrangements is analyzed. Experiments verify the robustness and applicability of the framework.

Abstract Rotating stall is an important unstable flow phenomenon that leads to performance degradation and limits the stability boundary in centrifugal compressors. The volute is one of the sources inducing non-axisymmetric flows in centrifugal compressors, which has an important effect on compressors' aerodynamic performance. However, the influence of volute on rotating stall is unclear. Therefore, the effects of volute on rotating stall behavior have been explored in this paper by experiments and numerical simulations. The frequency of the rotating stall captured by the experiments is 43.9% of the impeller passing frequency, while it is 44.7% of IPF calculated from the numerical results, which proves the accuracy and capability of the numerical method in this work to study the rotating stall behavior. The flow fields from CFD simulations further reveal that one stall cell initializing in a particular location deforms into several stall cells while rotating along the circumferential direction and becomes much smaller in a specific location during the evolution process, and finally, it is suppressed in another specific location as a result of the distorted flow field caused by the volute. By optimizing volute geometry to reduce the distortion of the flow field, it is expected that the rotating stall can be weakened or suppressed, which is helpful to extend the stable operating range of centrifugal compressors.

Now a days for the radio network communication multi-hop routing is used. This multi-hop routing technique covers larger coverage area. Therefore to reach at specific location data is transferred in form of packets from one node to other node. But for the transmission of radio signals over the large distance, large number of transreceivers are required and these transreceivers requires large power to operate. As a result, multi-hop routing can saves energy over separate routing. Therefore it is necessity to design a cost effective multi-hop routing technique for successful transmission of ratio packet data. In this paper a hop by hop adaptive link state optional routing (HALO) is explained. It is the first packet transmitting solution with hop by hop and link state routing, which reduces the cost of transporting data across a packet switch network[3]. The triple model is designed for multi hop packet routing. In this work each node of network iteratively and separately improves the small part of traffic bound. This algorithm finds the shortest path of specific location for every iteration and it is calculated by the marginal cost of the various links of network. The marginal link cost is used to calculate the shortest path between the node and the destination location. This marginal link cost is gathered from link state updates. The various networks changes are automatically identified by the adaptive method which is used in this paper. Due to this the exchange between the packets on wrong node is reduced over the overhead traffic. To validate these theoretical results the experimental evaluations and mathematical calculations are also reported in this work. Net beans java is the programmed use in this proposed project.

Precise motion control is important in robotic surgery, especially corneal surgery. This paper develops a new tension-measurement system for forceps used in corneal surgery, wherein contact force is applied only to a specific location for precise control, with precise movements detected by attaching a nano-crack sensor to the corresponding part. The nano-crack sensor used here customizes the working range and sensor sensitivity to match the strain rate of the tip of the forceps. Therefore, the tension in the suture can be sufficiently measured even at suture failure. The printed circuit board attached to the bottom of the system is designed to simultaneously collect data from several sensors, visualizing the direction and magnitude of the tension in order to inform the surgeon of how much tension is being applied. This system was verified by performing pig-corneal suturing.

Site-specific installations are created for a specific location and are usually intended as temporary artworks. The Perpetuation of Site-Specific Installation Artworks in Museums. Staging Contemporary Art shows that these artworks consist of more than a singular manifestation and that their lifespan is often extended. This book provides an in-depth account of the paradoxical situation when site-specific installations are being preserved and put on display in a museum context. Tatja Scholte offers a conceptual framework for scholars and professionals in order to better understand the transformative nature of site-specific installation art and to support decision-making in museums as to conserving and presenting these artworks over time. The case studies provide insight into the diversity of artistic production over the last forty years. They explore how site-specific installations gain new meanings and forms in a museum context, and, vice versa, how these artworks become agents for change of professional routines and museum strategies.

Temperature cycles generated during welding have a significant effect on the changes in the HAZ of welds, regardless of whether these are changes in structure or mechanical properties; however, it is problematic to obtain temperature cycles with sufficient accuracy across the entire HAZ so that they can be generally taken and used in welding simulations and for real experiments of processes occurring in HAZ. In particular, for a study in a specific location, it is important to know the maximum temperature of the cycle and the cooling rate defined mainly by the parameter t8/5. No studies in which anybody tries to find a mathematical description defining the basic parameters of temperature cycles in the HAZ could be found in the performed research. Therefore, the study presented in this paper results in a mathematical description defining the dependence of achieved maximum temperature on the distance from the fusion line in the HAZ of S460MC welds and with heat input values in the interval from 8 to 14 kJ·cm−1. Moreover, this paper presents the influence of heat input value on the weld pool geometry, including the effect of heat input value on grain coarsening in the highly heated HAZ.

In this paper, a method for detecting real-time images that include counterlight produced by the sun, is proposed. It involves applying a multistep analysis of the size, location, and distribution of bright areas in the image. In general, images containing counterlight have a symmetrically high brightness value at a specific location spread over an extremely large region. In addition, the distribution and change in brightness in that specific region have a symmetrically large difference compared with other regions. Through a multistep analysis of these symmetrical features, it is determined whether counterlight is included in the image. The proposed method presents a processing time of approximately 0.7 s and a detection accuracy of 88%, suggesting that the approach can be applied to a safe driving support system for autonomous vehicles.

AbstractLittle is known about soft tissue sarcomas (STS) in Brazil, once the federal statistics regarding estimates on incidence and mortality of the most common cancers that affect the Brazilian population currently do not include STS. This study aims to perform a broad evaluation and description of the epidemiological profile, access to treatment and main clinical outcomes of the Brazilian STS patient. A population-based cohort study of 66,825 patients who underwent procedures related to STS treatment registered in the Brazilian public health system (Sistema Único de Saúde, SUS) databases. Median age was 57 years, 30% of them older than 65 years and 50.7% of the cohort was female. The majority, 50,383 patients (75.4%), was diagnosed between 2008 and 2015. Most prevalent anatomic sites were upper and lower limbs (12.6%) and the registry of sarcomas without a specific location comprehended 29.7% of the cohort. The majority of patients resided in the Northeast (40.2% of the patients). Surgery was the first treatment modality in 77.7% of the cases. For survival analysis, only patients with stage and histological grade information were included. The 1-, 5- and 10-year survival rate of the patients was, respectively, 75.4% (95% CI = 74.1–76.7%), 43.4% (95% CI = 41.5–45.5%) and 18.6% (95% CI = 14.8–23.3%).
