Abstract The coking problem of coal-fired boiler seriously affects the economy and safety of the boiler. At the same time, the work of poking coke after coking in the boiler poses a great threat to the personal safety of poking coke personnel, which violates the purpose of establishing “intrinsic safety” in the power industry. Therefore, it is very important to analyze the factors affecting the coking of coal-fired boiler and effectively prevent the coking of coal-fired boiler. This paper studies the coking situation of High Moisture Lignite in a certain type of coal-fired boiler, calculates the characteristics of lignite, analyzes the causes of coking, and puts forward the optimization scheme of blending combustion and the research direction of burner adjustment in operation, so as to improve the coking situation in the process of operation.

Yellow pea and faba bean are potential candidates to replace soybean-based ingredients due to their suitability for cultivation in the northern hemisphere, non-genetically modified organisms cultivation practice and low risk of allergenicity. This study examined the functionality of local yellow pea and faba bean protein isolates/concentrate as meat analogue products. The most critical factors affecting the texture properties of meat analogue were also determined. Extrusion was used to produce high-moisture meat analogues (HMMAs) from yellow pea and faba bean protein isolates/concentrates and HMMAs with fibrous layered structures was successfully produced from both imported commercial and local sources. The texture properties of the HMMA produced were mainly affected by the ash, fiber and protein content and water-holding capacity of the source protein. Three extrusion process parameters (target moisture content, extrusion temperature, screw speed), also significantly affected HMMA texture. In conclusion, functional HMMA can be produced using protein isolates derived from locally grown pulses.

With the rapid advance of industrialization, the consumption of mineral resources is increasing. For open pit mine, many of them went into deep mining. The current, widespread adoption of open pit slope angle makes deep concave mining has a huge stripping ratio. So many mines in trouble,on the premise of guarantee the deep sunken open pit slope stability increase slope toe can bring huge economic benefits, and a lot of research work has been done. This paper describes the factors affecting the stability of open-pit mine slope, the slope rock mass stress analysis,to calculate the lower steep slope economic benefits, puts forward reasonable suggestions the future research direction of the slope stability of open-pit mine.

In recent years, concerns about the safety of laboratories have been caused by several serious accidents in school laboratories. Gas leaks in the laboratory are often difficult to detect and cause serious consequences. In this study, a comprehensive model based on the Bayesian network is established for the assessment of the gas leaks evolution process and consequences in school laboratories. The model can quantitatively evaluate the factors affecting the probability and consequences of gas leakage. The results show that a model is an effective tool for assessing the risk of gas leakage. Among the various factors, the unsafe behavior of personnel has the greatest impact on the probability of gas leakage, and the concentration of toxic and harmful gases is the main factor affecting the consequences of accidents. Since the probability distribution of each node is obtained based on the experience of experts, there is a deviation in the quantitative calculation of the probability of gas leakage and consequences, but does not affect the risk analysis. This study could quantitatively assess the probability and consequences of gas leakage in the laboratory, and identify vulnerabilities, which helps improve the safety management level of gas in the school laboratory and reducing the possibility of gas leakage posing a threat to personal safety.

Cone and seed development in Douglas-fir were studied from pollination until seed release in 1986. Cone abortion at, and shortly after, pollination was high, resulting from a combination of low temperatures and possibly high moisture and populations of microorganisms on cones. Seed potential averaged about 75 seeds per cone with 31 filled seed per cone, giving an average seed efficiency of 39%. The major loss of seed resulted from insufficient pollen in the ovules. Other causes were ovule and embryo abortion at various stages of development. The effects of prezygotic and postzygotic events on seed set are discussed with respect to the reproductive success of Douglas-fir. Key words: Douglas-fir, seed set, cone, ovule, development, abortion.

ABSTRACTBackground: Despite increased government and public awareness of the threat of a radiological emergency resulting from a terrorist attack or industrial accident, limited emphasis has been placed on preparing the US health care workforce for such an event. The purpose of this study was to develop and apply a rapid survey to evaluate hospital-based nurses' baseline knowledge, self-assessed clinical competence, perception of personal safety, and willingness to respond in the event of a radiological emergency. Methods: The study was conducted in 2 phases, the first targeting nursing units likely to respond in the event of a radiological emergency and the second focusing more generally on members of the New York State Emergency Nurses Association currently employed as hospital-based nurses. Results: Among the 668 nurses surveyed, baseline knowledge was found to be inadequate. Although baseline knowledge, clinical competence, and perception of personal safety were all positively associated with willingness to respond, perception of safety appeared to be the primary determinant. Furthermore, baseline knowledge did not appear to be strongly associated with perception of personal safety. Conclusions: Based on these results, the investigators recommend further clinical training to enhance preparedness and a more detailed exploration of the determinants of perceived personal safety. The objective of this research is to provide a platform to researchers to formulate retention strategies for their respective teaching staff and institutes. The present study has thus undertaken extensive literature review and depicted the impact of job satisfaction in teacher's retention at management institutes in India. The scope of present study is to identify the factors affecting teacher's retention in management institutes in Indian and also to explore the importance of job satisfaction in the same. The future research direction of the present study is to engage the Baron and Kenny, 1986 model for mediation regression analysis and conduct the institute specific study for exploring the frequency of each factor in retaining teachers within their institutes.
