Under the conditions of the pandemic, the issue of support for small and medium-sized enterprises becomes especially relevant, since they are the ones that suffer financial losses more than other enterprises in the period of restrictions and reduction of the purchasing power of citizens. Most often tax measures of support and direct payments from the state are considered, in our article we will talk about property measures that have a significant impact on the stabilization and development for existing entities and sustainable formation for start-up entrepreneurs. The article uses both statistical analysis, including within the boundaries of the federal district, and sociological research that complements and specifies statistical data. As a result, the main problems of providing measures of property support were identified, which will allow the authorities and development institutions to adjust their policies and instruments.

In the Unites States, the public has a constitutional right to access criminal trial proceedings. In practice, it can be difficult or impossible for the public to exercise this right. We present JUSTFAIR: Judicial System Transparency through Federal Archive Inferred Records, a database of criminal sentencing decisions made in federal district courts. We have compiled this data set from public sources including the United States Sentencing Commission, the Federal Judicial Center, the Public Access to Court Electronic Records system, and Wikipedia. With nearly 600,000 records from the years 2001 - 2018, JUSTFAIR is the first large scale, free, public database that links information about defendants and their demographic characteristics with information about their federal crimes, their sentences, and, crucially, the identity of the sentencing judge.

Pollution of substances entering the atmosphere as a result of natural fires significantly affects the morbidity level of the Irkutsk region population. The development of measures to reduce it requires an assessment of the risk level and analysis of spatial differences in the composition and number of major issuers. The study is based on statistical data on natural fires in the region in 2014-2019. The comparative analysis of the composition and mass of substances from natural fires on three categories of land have done. These are: forest lands; residential, suburban, recreational lands; peat and peat soils. Peat fires are the most dangerous for health according to the weight and composition of pollutants. The level of health risk as a result of natural fires varies by region within two orders of magnitude. It is affected by the proportion of the area of smoke from the total area of the district, nonuniform distribution of the population within the district, sparsely populated and difficult to access, economic specialization, and others.

Aim. To compare the maternal mortality (MM) indices in Perm Krai with MM indices in the Russian Federation (RF) and Privolzhskiy Federal District over the past 20 years. Materials and methods. On the basis of official statistical data, intensive indices and image indices, mean multiyear MM indices, 95 % confidence intervals, median, 25 and 75 percentile indices were calculated. The mean multiyear indices are presented as M (mean value) ± SD (standard deviation). Results. According to official statistical data, the mean multiyear (1997–2016) indices of MM coefficient in Perm Krai tend to decline, but they do not reliably differ from the analogous indices in RF. During the last 20 years, there was noted a steady and obvious decrease in MM index on the territory of Perm Krai, especially marked for the last 2 years (2015–2016) that resulted in appearance of statistically significant differences regarding this index in Perm Krai compared to these indices in RF as a whole. Conclusions. Perm Krai is a rather favorable region as far as rendering of medical aid to pregnant, parturient women and puerperas is concerned.

This article provided an analysis of statistical data on the dynamics and the changes in the structure of unemployment in the three Russian federal districts (Central, Volga, and North-Caucasian FD) from 2000 to 2016. The analysis also made it possible to distinguish the following features: 1. The differentiation of the ratio, but the similarity of the dynamics of urban/rural unemployment across all districts; 2. The absence of gender discrimination, moreover, during the crisis, women and men were evenly displaced from the labour market. 3. A slight difference in the average age of the unemployed in the districts (35-36 years - Central, Volga, 33-34 years - North Caucasus) and the general trend of its increase. 4. The largest group in the structure of the unemployed in all districts formed by individuals with a secondary general education. However, in the Central Federal District, there was a tendency for a gradual increase in the proportion of unemployed people with higher education. 5. The presence of a gap, with a tendency to its gradual reduction in all districts, between the levels of registered unemployment and calculated ones according to the methodology of the International Labour Organization. Thus, the structure of Russian unemployment changes in accordance with world trends was described while the trend to reduce unemployment was contrary to them.

The research aims to review the direction of Georgia's economic policy, in particular, the reforms implemented in the field of tax policy in value added tax (VAT). For this purpose, the method of comparing the legislative records, as well as the analysis of official statistical data and their generalization are used, as well as the research I conducted (the results of a survey of entrepreneurs) on several reforms in value added tax. The current result of the major reforms in this tax is an indicator of positive dynamics. This study will allow stakeholders (as well as entrepreneurs) to evaluate the effectiveness of tax policy, which is reflected in both statistical information and international rankings. The general business environment following the reforms and the regulatory norms of value added tax (VAT) in Georgia will be analyzed. This will be the basis for observing the dynamics of the positive indicators of the reforms carried out, and at the same time to take into account the influence of environmental factors during the assessment.

The authors present a method of assessing the risk of nature management and its mapping in the Russian Federation constituent entities and those of the Siberian Federal District. The assessments were carried out for a comprehensive analysis of the Russian Federation Districts as a single administrative-territorial entity according to their own established factors of environmentally dangerous processes and the parameters of protection against natural disasters. The risk of nature management equally depends on both the type of the danger and the protection against natural disasters, in other words – on both the natural and socio-economic situation in the Russian Federation Districts. In many cases, the indicator of protection against natural disasters plays even a leading part, since its assessment includes current socio-economic characteristics that determine the real ability of management structures to predict and deal with the consequences of natural disasters, as well as psychological indicators, i.e. the will and sequence of the managers’ actions in making specific resolutions on environmental management under risky conditions.
