Friedsam was the professor, co-founder, and director of the Center for Studies in Aging and dean of the School of Community Service at the University of Northern Texas. Dr. Friedsam was an outstanding teacher, researcher, colleague, and mentor to students, faculty, and administrators, as well as a past president of AGHE. The purpose of this award is to recognize those who emulate Dr. Friedsam's excellence in mentorship.

Dr. Friedsam was an outstanding teacher, researcher, colleague, and mentor to students, faculty, and administrators, as well as a past president of AGHE. The purpose of Community Service Activities (PKM) is to carry out one of the three obligations of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. In addition, it is expected that by serving the community, the existence of higher education institutions can contribute to the development and application of knowledge to the community. The method of activity used is to visit the Forum Muslimah Depok, Al-Awwal Mosque, addressed on Jalan Mawar Raya, Depok Jaya and look for problems that are in place so as to provide the right solution in motivating members who has business or UMKM in Depok, West Java, especially for Jama’ah Masjid Al Awwal Masjid Depok Jaya and gave training there on 01-03 October 2019. This training aims to develop the ability to increase marketing through online media with SEO methods and techniques (Search Engine Optimization) for Muslimah Forum members, Al-Awwal Mosque, Depok Jaya. The results of community service activities (PKM) obtained indicate that prior to the implementation of PKM, Depok Muslimah Forum members did not yet know the terms related to product marketing via online media, but after the implementation of activities known members of the Depok Muslimah Forum could understand the basics of content creation with simple SEO rules. PKM activities play a positive role in increasing the knowledge and skills of participants in creating SEO-based content The knowledge gained in Community Service this time is expected to be able to provide enthusiasm especially for the lecturers and other academicians of the University of Pamulang in providing material counseling, motivation and contributing to the public in and outside the campus environment of the University of PamulangKeywords: Content, Search Engine Optimization, Online

Hans Selye, the father of the stress concept, was a giant of science of the twentieth century. Beyond his best-known work on stress, he also made several discoveries on various other fields of experimental medicine. He described and characterized various pluricausal diseases. In addition, he made pivotal contributions to the broad field of endocrinology, especially to the classification of steroids and to our better understanding of their mode of action. He developed surgical technics and experimental animal models suitable for studying the pathogenesis and prevention of human diseases. Selye was an extremely well educated, highly intelligent and disciplined individual, an original and creative scientist, an outstanding teacher, a philosopher, a prolific author, a fabulous communicator and a gifted organizer successfully establishing, developing and managing a major academic research institution, the word-famous Institute of Experimental Medicine and Surgery of the University of Montreal. Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi (Unitri) merupakan salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta yang secara geografis terletak di Jl. Telaga Warna blok C, Tlogomas Malang. Letak kampus yang masuk wilayah pemukiman warga menjadi kendala bagi calon mahasiswa dan masyarakat awam yang belum mengetahui letak Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi dengan baik. Adapun permasalahan lain karena tidak tersedianya akses penunjuk jalan menuju kampus tersebut. Hal inilah yang menginsipirasi dilaksanakannya pengabdian masyarakat berupa perencanaan dan pelaksanaan gapura Unitri sebagai penunjuk arah sekaligus ikon kampus Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. Gapura ini memiliki dimensi sebagai berikut; luas alas 1,33 x 1,04m, tinggi 6,65m, jumlah undakan 38bh, sama untuk kedua sisinya. RAB gapura Unitri membutuhkan dana Rp. 41.900.000.00, dengan waktu pelaksanaan 2 bulan. Adapun tujuan pengabdiaan masyarakat ini adalah; (1). Pembangunan gapura Unitri sebagai akses penunjuk jalan menuju kampus Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. (2). Menciptakan bangunan yang memiliki nilai estetika dan menerapkan konsep kerajaan Majapahit. (3). Menciptakan eksistensi kampus dan beberapa rw terkait serta dapat digunakan sebagai media promosi. Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah metode difusi iptek. Pengabdian masyarakat ini menghasilkan sebuah produk desain gapura Unitri. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut; (1). Tersedianya akses penunjuk jalan menuju kampus Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. (2). Menciptakan bangunan yang memiliki nilai estetika dan menerapkan konsep Majapahit, yang merupakan identitas Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. (3). Digunakan sebagai media promosi kampus dan kepentingan rw terkait. ABSTRACT Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University (Unitri) is one of the private higher education institutions that is geographically located at Telaga Warna street blok C, Tlogomas Malang. Location of the campus input the residential area is an obstacle for prospective students and the general public who do not know the location of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University well. As for other problems because of the unavailability access to the road guide to that located. This is what inspires the implementation of community service in the form of planning and implementing the Gate Unitri as a guide and Unitri icon. Gate Unitri has the use dimensions ; base area 1.33 x 1.04m, height 6.65m, number of steps 38, same for both sides . RAB Gate Unitri needs Rp. 41,900,000.00 , with a execution time of 2 months. The purpose of this community service is ; (1). Archway Construction Unitri is the access guide to Unitri. (2). Creating buildings that have aesthetic value and applying the Unitri concept . (3). Creating the existence of campuses and some rw related and can be used as promotional media. The method used is the author by science and technology diffusion method. This community service produces a gate design product Unitri . The implementation of community service is concluded as follows; (1). The availability of access to the road guide to Unitri. (2). The success of applying the concept of the Majapahit kingdom was in accordance with the name identity of the University of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. (3). Maked as media promotion of campus and interests rw related.

In 2014 the Ebola virus disease became a significant health challenge in much of West Africa, notably Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, even Nigeria. The Ebola epidemic knows no geographical boundary as both developed and developing countries are susceptible to its menace. Key facts about the disease and what could be done to mitigate its spread were awash in both the print and electronic media at the height of its outbreak. There was increased awareness of personal hygiene practices of constant washing of hands and using hand-sanitizers. Body temperature was checked in public places such as airports, schools, etc. There were hardly anywhere, home or organization that you will not find sanitizers and clean water dispensers for hand-washing strategically stationed. 798 respondents from the University of Calabar (staff and students) were surveyed as well as five key informants for in-depth information on what has become of the healthy hygienic practices, and to determine whether Nigerians are still conscious of Ebola and how to achieve sustained healthy practices even after the epidemic. These preventive practices need to be intensified and sustained to consolidate the gains attained in the fight against the dreaded virus. We found a total decline in safety practices by individuals and organizations and this itself raises a major concern about their repercussions, given the paucity and unpreparedness of healthcare facilities. Worse still, relevant agencies such as the print and electronic media are no longer carrying out the awareness campaign.

Arthur Mannering Tyndall was a man who played a leading part in the establishment of research and teaching in physics in one of the newer universities of this country. His whole career was spent in the University of Bristol, where he was Lecturer, Professor and for a while Acting ViceChancellor, and his part in guiding the development of Bristol from a small university college to a great university was clear to all who knew him. He presided over the building and development of the H. H. Wills Physical Laboratory, and his leadership brought it from its small beginnings to its subsequent achievements. His own work, for which he was elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society, was on the mobility of gaseous ions. Arthur Tyndall was born in Bristol on 18 September 1881. He was educated at a private school in Bristol where no science was taught, except a smattering of chemistry in the last two terms. Nonetheless he entered University College, obtaining the only scholarship offered annually by the City of Bristol for study in that college and intending to make his career in chemistry. However, when brought into contact with Professor Arthur Chattock, an outstanding teacher on the subject, he decided to switch to physics; he always expressed the warmest gratitude for the inspiration that he had received from him. He graduated with second class honours in the external London examination in 1903. In that year he was appointed Assistant Lecturer, was promoted to Lecturer in 1907, and became Lecturer in the University when the University College became a university in 1909. During this time he served under Professor A. P. Chattock, but Chattock retired in 1910 at the age of 50 and Tyndall became acting head of the department. Then, with the outbreak of war, he left the University to run an army radiological department in Hampshire.

AbstrakIndustri rumah tangga merupakan salah satu aspek penguatan ekonomi. Daya serapnya yang luas dapat memberdayakan ekonomi rakyat. Keberadaannya perlu ditingkatkan agar dapat membantu pemerintah membuka lapangan pekerjaan baru. Untuk membantu pemerintah menanggulangi masalah tersebut, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Medan Area terpanggil turut menanggulanginya yang berfokus kepada pemberdayaan industri rumah tangga melalui pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan ini melibatkan masyarakat setempat, aparat dari Disperindag untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi kepada pengusaha dodol sipirok tentang cara membuat kemasan yang baik, cara meningkatkan daya saing produksi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada industri rumah tangga dodol milik Fahruddin Ritonga dan Samsul Siagian selama 8 bulan. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian, perubahan kemasan dari sumpit menjadi kotak, menambah kepercayaan konsumen terhadap hygienitas dodol. Dengan perubahan kemasan ke dalam bentuk kotak berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan permintaan konsumen. Untuk memenuhi peningkatan permintaan konsumen, pengusaha melakukan penambahan tenaga kerja untuk memproduksi dodol. Penyuluhan yang disampaikan petugas dari Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan ke tempat usaha dodol rizki dan dodol rahmat sangat bermanfaat untuk menciptakan produk yang sesuai dengan standard kesehatan.Kata kunci: PKM Industri Rumah Tangga, Dodol Sipirok, Tapanuli Selatan.AbstractHome industry is one aspect of strengthening the economy. Its extensive absorption can empower the people's economy. Its existence needs to be improved so that it can help the government open new jobs. To help the government overcome this problem, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Medan was called to participate in overcoming it, which focused on empowering home industries through community service. This activity involved the local community, officials from the Disperindag to provide information and socialization to dodol sipirok entrepreneurs on how to make good packaging, how to improve production competitiveness. This activity was carried out in the dodol home industry owned by Fahruddin Ritonga and Samsul Siagian for 8 months. Based on the results of service, changes in packaging from chopsticks to boxes, adding to consumer confidence in the hygiene hygiene. With changes in packaging in the form of boxes has a positive effect on increasing consumer demand. To meet the increase in consumer demand, employers are adding jobs to produce dodol. Counseling delivered by officers from the Department of Industry and Trade of South Tapanuli Regency to the dodol rizki business place and dodol rahmat is very useful to create products that comply with health standards.Keywords: Home Industry PKM, Dodol Sipirok, South Tapanuli.
