In this chapter, Winnicott summarises diseases of the soma (body), which are in origin hereditary, congenital, intake deficiency, accident, infestation and infection, and the effect on the body tissues of psychological states. He then summarises illness of the psyche, which for Winnicott is clinically a disorder of emotional development. He summarises again the neuroses, psychoses, and schizophrenia, and adds that these distinctions between psyche and soma then enable him to make interconnections between the two, leaving out for the moment the impact of the environment on each.

In this study, the experimental and the simulation results for a planar free link impacting a granular medium are analyzed. The resistance force of the granular medium on the body from the moment of the impact until the body stops is very important. Horizontal and vertical static resistance forces developed by theoretical and empirical approaches are considered. The penetrating depth of the impacting end of the free link increases with the increase of the initial impacting velocity. We define the stopping time as the time interval from the moment of impact until the vertical velocity of the link end is zero. The stopping time of the end decreases as the initial velocity increases. The faster the end of the link impacts the surface of the granular medium, the sooner it will come to a stop. This phenomenon involves how rapidly a free link strikes the granular medium and how it slows down upon contact.

This article presents reviews of literature sources on the clinical and pathogenetic aspects of the course of a new coronovirus infection in pregnant women, in order to analyze the features of the course of COVID-19 in pregnant women and to assess the impact of infection on the body of a woman and a fetus. Pregnancy is a special physiological condition, during which a number of changes occur in the body, not only in the hormonal status, but also in the immune system. The urgency of this problem is due to the high prevalence of new coronavirus infection among the population. On March 12, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO), as a result of the dynamic development of the epidemic in many countries and continents, declared a global pandemic of the contagious disease COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. According to available studies, pregnant women are more susceptible to a more severe course of infectious diseases affecting the upper respiratory tract. According to various studies, a new coronavirus infection can lead to premature birth, miscarriage, and preeclampsia. Separate studies show increased mortality in pregnant women diagnosed with COVID-19. The SARS-CoV-2 virus does not have a direct teratogenic effect on the fetus, but it can indirectly lead to harmful effects on the developing organism. Special attention should be paid to the issue of vaccination of pregnant women against a new coronavirus infection, at the moment there is no accurate data on the effect of the vaccine on the body of the pregnant woman and the fetus. In this regard, the question of the impact of a new coronavirus infection on the course of pregnancy has become relevant.

“Education,” notes Philip Converse, “is everywhere the universal solvent.” Whatever the ill of the body politic, many believe that greater education improves the condition. Much scholarship explores the impact of education on political attitudes and behaviors, but scholars have not examined the relationship of education to support for political compromise. This is especially topical, as compromise between parties seems harder than ever to achieve, yet compromise is necessary for democratic governance. We examine whether higher levels of education lead to support for compromise and find that education does matter, but the relationship is conditional. For liberals and moderates, more education promotes greater support for compromise. For conservatives, those with more education are not more likely to support compromise than those with less education. We argue that for conservatives, education matters for compromise support, but it also leads to better understanding of bedrock ideological principles that inhibit approval of compromise.

Research of the last decade, which revealed the relationship of various socially significant diseases (Alzheimer’s disease, parkinsonism, multiple sclerosis, etc.) with the impact of heavy metals on the human body, stimulates modern science to create drugs that can quickly and safely remove these toxic substances from the body. The article presents a review of studies on the effectiveness of heavy metal adsorption by modern enterosorbents officially registered in the Russian Federation as drugs. The prospects of using non-starch polysaccharides, which are part of modern biologically active additives, in order to create new medicinal substances for the elimination of heavy metals that pose a threat to public health are indicated.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the generation of negative emotions and behavior in Muslim consumers from their attitude toward offensive advertising. Mediation of brand hate between attitude toward offensive advertising and brand retaliation was examined. The conditional indirect impact of religiosity on attitude toward offensive advertising and brand retaliation through brand hate was also realized. Design/methodology/approach A cross-sectional research design was used using the mall intercept survey technique. Data were collected from 380 respondents visiting the malls in the areas of Pakistan’s twin cities (Rawalpindi and Islamabad) after ensuring appropriateness for the study. Partial least square–structural equation modeling through SmartPLS software was used as a statistical technique to test the hypotheses. Findings The findings confirm that attitude toward offensive advertising affects brand hate and brand retaliation positively. The conditional indirect effect of religiosity on the relationship of attitude toward offensive advertising and brand retaliation has also proved significant. Originality/value The present study has filled a significant gap in the literature of brand hate by introducing brand hate as a mediator in the relationship of attitude toward offensive advertising and brand retaliation. It further added in the body of knowledge of brand hate by a moderated mediation mechanism of religiosity on the relationship of attitude toward offensive advertising and brand retaliation through brand hate. The present study has considered the non-offensive product being promoted through offensive advertising and explored the impact of attitude toward offensive advertising on brand hate and brand retaliation in Muslim consumers.

In recent decades, the loss of newborn calves occurs mainly from non-infectious diseases. It is established that in the process of growth and development, especially after birth, the animal has to experience the action of anthropogenic environmental factors that cause various kinds of adaptive reactions of the body. Currently, probiotic drugs are increasingly evaluated not only for their antimicrobial action but also for the characteristics of the impact on the body and its microbiota in the development of the need to strengthen the immune response, in the treatment and treatment of calf diarrhoea. It should be noted that in the modern world, a special place is occupied by studies of lactic acid bacteria associated with the development of biological products with probiotic function. The article presents the results of studying the therapeutic and prophylactic effect of the probiotic drug "Lactobacterin-TK2" in gastrointestinal diseases of newborn calves and its effect on the immune and biological status. According to the results of the study, it was found that daily feeding of the probiotic drug "Lactobacterin-TK2" to newborn calves from the moment of birth 2 times a day for 10 days increases the nonspecific resistance of the body and the safety of calves. Haematological and biochemical analysis of experimental groups of calves showed a faster normalisation of the level of alkaline phospha-tase, glucose, urea, magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus, which also indicates a complete recovery.

Visual impairment in elderly people is a serious problem that significantly affects the quality of life of millions people around the world. The magnitude of this problem is becoming increasingly apparent as the population ages and the number of older people increases. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the third leading cause of blindness worldwide and the main cause of vision loss in people over 60 years. It is expected that AMD will affect about 288 million people by 2040. AMD is a multifactorial disease with a progressive course. The arised dystrophic changes in the retina cannot be reversed by any of the known treatment methods. A lot of research and effort has already been invested in identifying various biomarkers for predicting the incidence rate, identifying people at risk, finding out the pathogenetic mechanisms of this disease, and finding effective methods of treatment and prevention.Aging is the basis of pathological changes that occur during AMD. Aging biomarkers are measurable vital signs that qualitatively and quantitatively change with the age of the body. DNA methylation is a molecular mechanism that is a potential biomarker of aging. Sirtuins indirectly participate in this process, regulating the activity of the DNMT1 enzyme. The article discusses current knowledge of the mechanisms underlying the action of sirtuins (Sirtuins / SIRT), with an emphasis on SIRT1. Analysis of the pathophysiological action of sirtuins can affect the prevention and treatment of pathological eye changes associated with AMD. The article provides literature sources containing the results of studies of the effect of SIRT1 as a marker of aging in body tissues. SIRT1 is an attractive candidate for developing therapeutic strategies preventing early eye aging, in particular, age-associated diseases such as AMD The impact on the genetic mechanisms of this disease is a promising direction in treatment.

AbstractDiabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the biggest healthcare and financial problems worldwide. The disease is strongly associated with microvascular and macrovascular complications, causing co-existing diseases like Diabetic Retinopathy, Diabetic Neuropathy and Diabetic Nephropathy. Annual healthcare expenditures for diabetes treatment and complications prevention cost 727 billion USD in year 2017.Diabetes Mellitus, Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetic Retinal Neuropathy are closely related diseases - originating from incorrectly controlled glycemia, blood pressure and lipid levels in the course of increasing resistance of the body tissues to insulin.Irrespectively of thorough programs for Diabetes Mellitus prevention and treatment, Diabetic Retinopathy management requires targeted treatment strategies for both microvasculopathy and retinal neurodegeneration, to delay disease severity course and risk of blindness.The study and conclusions in this article are based on web-available data and officially published articles related to the diabetes mellitus and associated diseases – Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetic Retinal Neuropathy. The articles have been reviewed and analyzed to assess mutual relations between the discussed diseases.

The human model in this paper is simplified as a rigid body of 15 segments and the Roberson-Wittenberg method is used to establish the equation of conservation of angular momentum to obtain the control methods of human self-rotation without external force in a weightless environment. And simulation of human dynamic is completed in ADMAS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of mechanical Systems). The simulation results show that human can generate corresponding body rotation through own limbs rotation in the weightless, and body rotation velocity and angle increase with the moment of inertia and rotational velocity of active body that adds greater torque to joint. Through the analysis of the impact of the angular velocity and torque on the body rotation, a set of self-rotation control strategy for astronaut is proposed in weightless environment.

Iron has an important role in the body that functions to transport oxygen from the lungs to all body tissues through hemoglobin in the blood. Iron deficiency is one of the factors causing anemia. Anemia can be diagnosed from a level of hemoglobin. If a person's has Hb level is low, it can be said that the person is suffering from anemia. The low Hb level can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the consumption of tea. The content of tannins in tea can reduce iron absorption by the body. This study aims to analyze the relationship between drinking of tea behavior in STIKES Guna Bangsa Yogyakarta students with level of hemoglobin. The method is carried out by direct interviews with 55 samples of female students and level of henoglobin were checked using the Hb meter automatic. The results obtained were that 71% of the samples consumed tea and 29% did not consume tea. 53.85% of the sample who consumed tea had a low Hb level whereas 68.75% of the samples that did not consume tea had normal Hb levels. Data from the results of chi-square analysis obtained a value of p = 0.001 <0.05, which means that there is a relationship between the behavior of tea drinking with hemoglobin levels in STIKES students for Yogyakarta
