This study aimed to determine the level of compliance with the use of personal protective equipment as prevention of work accidents. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with a cross-sectional approach in the Emergency Unit and Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Prima General Hospital.   The results showed a relationship between age and adherence to the use of PPE with p = 0.002. There is no correlation between years of service and compliance with the use of PPE with p-value = 0.75. There is a relationship between knowledge of compliance with the use of PPE with p-value = 0.009. There is a relationship between attitudes towards compliance with the use of PPE with p = 0.002. There is a relationship between the availability of facilities and compliance with the use of PPE with a p-value of 0.000. There is a relationship between compliance training on the use of PPE with p-value = 0.004. There is a control relationship to compliance with the use of PPE with p-value = 0.002.

Introduction. The nurses who works at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Unit often suffering Low Back Pain (LBP) because they have high mobility and unergonomic condition. The purpose of this study were to identify the correlation among age, body mass index and working position of nurses with the low back pain who work in ICU and emergency unit at Sari Mutiara Indonesia general hospital. Methods. The data obtained was analyzed by analytic correlational with cross-sectional approach. The Sampel of this study was recruited with total sampling as 31 nurses. The data was analyzed by spearman correlation with α = 0.05. Result. The result of this study found that there was a signifi cant correlation between age with low back pain (r = 0.466 ; p <0.05). While body mass index and working position there was no signifi cantly correlation with low back pain ( r=0.195; p > 0.05 and r = - 0.172;p >0.05), respectively. Discussion. It can be recommended to occupational safety team to organize training the manner of working according to ergonomic standard, in addition to develope standar operating procedure for nurses in the hospital.Keywords : Risk factors, low back pain, nurse

Patient’s Safety is part a service system in a hospital to give comfort and protection, so the patient feel more secured. Fall patient’s accident is mostly reported happen to adult patient when they were having a care unit. Patien’s safety training is purposed to add nurses performance motivation to prevent fall patient. This research is meant to see whether there is a connection between the workshop, attitude, motivetion of nurses performance and the patient safety from fall accident in General Hospital Indonesian Christian University, Jakarta. This research used quantitative method combine with comparative study design. This comperative study is conducted by comparing the nurses performance toward patient safety of fall accedent between those who had the trainng workshop and those who dont have the training workshop. The ammount of the sample to this research is 94 respondents, which is divided into two groups. 56 respondents who had the workshop training and 38 respondents who did not have workshop training. Then two these two groups are conducted an osbervation and being compared. The technique of sample taking is using total sampling technique. The result of this research showed that there is an influence of training (p=0,000) motivation (p = 0,010), to patient safety of fall accident prevention OR (Odd Ratio) valvue is 8,603 times higher than to thoses who did not have the patient safety training workshop. This research recommends the necessary to conduct a workshop training to develop attitude, motivation and standarized nurse performance to prevent patient fall accident risk.

In 1981 we described the introduction and development of a coma scale for use in Head Injured patients. The scale has become adopted for routine use in the Accident and Emergency Unit at Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield, and at other centers, for example the Emergency Department at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary finds the scale more sensitive than its own Glasgow Coma Scale in monitoring the course of accident victims.

Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (CSOM) Tubotympanic Type is a CSOM without cholesteatoma, limited to the mucosa, and seldom causes complications. According to WHO, the incidence of the CSOM is estimated to be 65 – 330 million worldwide. Prevalence CSOM in Indonesia is 3,9%. According to a survey conducted in 7 provinces in 1996 in Indonesia, most middle ears morbidity is CSOM, especially the CSOM benign type 3%. This study's objective was to identify Profile Benign Type of CSOM at the General Hospital of the Christian University of Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive method and retrospective cross-sectionals. Data retrieval using the secondary database on the patient's medical records. The sample obtained is 60 patients with a total sampling from January 2017 – December 2018. Based on the research result, the highest proportion based on gender is female 33 people (55 %). Based on age, mainly in 55-59 years ten people (16,7 %). Based on the infected ear is right ear 35 people (58,3 %) and based on clinical symptoms, is otorrhea by 46 people (76,7%). Based on risk factor was that there were 53 people (88,3 %) and history of otitis media. Based on the tympanic membrane's perforation, which is a central perforation of 57 people (95 %).

The Type I simple cold block device was described by Bullivant and Ames in 1966 and represented the product of the first successful effort to simplify the equipment required to do sophisticated freeze-cleave techniques. Bullivant, Weinstein and Someda described the Type II device which is a modification of the Type I device and was developed as a collaborative effort at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the University of Auckland, New Zealand. The modifications reduced specimen contamination and provided controlled specimen warming for heat-etching of fracture faces. We have now tested the Mass. General Hospital version of the Type II device (called the “Type II-MGH device”) on a wide variety of biological specimens and have established temperature and pressure curves for routine heat-etching with the device.
