Abstract This work intends to apprehend and emphasize the contribution of image-processing techniques and computer vision in the treatment of clay-based material known in Meknes region. One of the various characteristics used to describe clay in a qualitative manner is porosity, as it is considered one of the properties that with “kill or cure” effectiveness. For this purpose, we use scanning electron microscopy images, as they are considered the most powerful tool for characterising the quality of the microscopic pore structure of porous materials. We present various existing methods of segmentation, as we are interested only in pore regions. The results show good matching between physical estimation and Voronoi diagram-based porosity estimation.

Thanks to the fact that nowadays substantial progress has been made in new ways of analyzing our environment using image processing techniques, it is imperative to highlight the importance of applying this methodology to mechanisms, which are our object of study and these elements are present in various sectors, such as industrial, automotive, academic, etc. In the previously mentioned sectors, the mechanisms are a fundamental element for the correct operation of the devices that each sector has. Therefore, knowing the dynamic behavior of the mechanisms is an essential task, since, if any type of failure occurs, it could cause damage to an entire process. The article proposes to develop a methodology that allows the analysis of dynamic variables in different types of mechanisms, through the use of image processing techniques specifically the detection, filtering and tracking of objects, using filters such as the Gaussian filter and background subtraction in order to improve the quality of the information to be analyzed. The results obtained through the application of the proposed methodology were compared with a simulation of a CAD/CAM/CAE software, in this case Siemens NX 12®, these results were satisfactory under certain criteria that will be exposed in the analysis section, thanks to this it can be affirmed that the proposed methodology is acceptable at the time of knowing the dynamic variables in mechanisms

The latest advertisements on the advancements of the virtual reality has paved way for diverse studies, in manifold fields that can benefit by utilizing the technologies of the virtual reality, not excluding the design, gaming and the simulated understanding. Yet whenever a virtual reality device conveys information in form of images with the assistance of the display that is positioned closer to the user’s eyes it faces problems like minimizing the speed of the process and degradation in the quality of images ending up in huge variations across the virtual realism and the realism causing user immersion problems. So to mitigate the immersion problems of the user because of the low quality of image and the minimization of processing speed in the virtual reality environments the paper puts forth an improved image processing technique to improvise the sharpness of the images in order to enhance quality of the images and heighten the processing speed.

Textile industry is very important to the development of Chinese industry and economy. Image processing techniques are beneficial to improve the quality of cotton goods. Suitable blending ratio of yarn is good for it. It is significant to measure the blending ratio of yarn in the practice of textile engineering. Combined with results done by other scholars, this paper uses the concepts of acreage index, abnormity index and fluctuation index. Based on these morphologic indices, it is convenient to construct corresponding eigenvector and to discuss useful mathematical method for the cluster analysis during the measurement of the blending ratio. This paper also sets up some kinds of nonlinear optimization model for the problem. Using classical integer programming algorithm, support vector machine algorithm and genetic algorithm to the problem, we get fine results for cluster analysis. Finally, we give out another problem of image processing and have some discussions about it.

In agriculture most of the task done manually by experienced persons. They made decision on the basis of what they feel and see. The prediction result also not giving expected results. For getting the best yield the selection of quality seed is mandatory. But the manual analysis cannot assure the best quality seed. Rice Seed quality estimation can be done by considering the textural features of rice seed image. For this we are going to propose Digital Image processing Techniques to classify and grade the quality of the seed. There are number of digital image processing techniques proposed for classifying the variety of seed and predicting the germination rate of seed. In this paper we are going to summarize the hardware setup, varieties, features extracted, methods or algorithms used and result they obtained. In future we are going to propose a simple grading system for the rice seed quality system can be used by formers.

Eye sight is sometimes deceptive, especially in determining the quality of a canned food, so it is necessary to use technology that resembles human visual observation, namely in the form of an application. The process to detect the quality of canned food uses image processing methods, especially thresholding, which is then designed so that the application is able to determine the quality of canned food with the help of the MATLAB GUI which detects and then sends it from making the MATLAB GUI on the Laptop to Android using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). At the end of the process, it is marked with known good and bad quality of canned food with an android application that has been specially designed with an accuracy level of 84% with a thresholding value of 70.

As we all know that the Agriculture plays an important role in the Indian economy and majority of the individuals depends upon it and offers huge amount of the crops through the worldwide. The Illnesses in these crops are generally on the leaf's influences on the decrease of both quality and number of horticultural items. We should know the disease of the crop correctly to solve the problem. There will be a huge loss if we do not find the disease and treat properly. The view of natural eye isn't so a lot more grounded in order to watch minutevariety in the contaminated piece of leaf. In thisreport, we are giving a programming answer fornaturally identify and arrange plant leaf diseases. In this we are utilizing picture preparing methods to characterize alignments and rapidly finding can be completed according to infection. This methodology will upgrade the efficiency of yields in a efficient way and can get us the accurate disease which helps us to find the solution for the diseased crop. It observes a few stages with the help of these pictures obtaining, picture pre-handling, division, highlights extraction and genetic algorithm-based grouping. Relating to the cultivation of land, efficiency is something on which economy exceptionally depends. This is the one of the reasons that sickness identification in plants assumes a significant job in the agriculture business field, as having the illness in plants are very normal. In an event that legitimate consideration isn't taken here, at that point it causes true consequences for plantsand because of which quality of each and every item, amount or efficiency is being influenced. The recognition of plant infections through some programmed step is gainful as it avoids a huge work of checking in huge homesteads of harvests. At the beginning of the crop harvesting step itself, it shows the side effects or the symptoms of the diseases. This proposed method surfaces into a new programmed manner by distinguishing the effects of the crop plant diseases. We are using some image processing techniques for the identification of the disease. Additionally, it watches the review on the various diseases order strategies which also can be utilized for plant leaf alignment. Picture division, which is a significant viewpoint for sickness identificationin a plant leaf alignment, is finalized by the input RGB mask images.

This research identifies the quality of pepper powder using a computer automatically. The research method uses the stationary angle method. The design of this system is done by image processing techniques. The image of ground pepper that has been taken is then cropped to remove the unused portion of the image. The next step is to convert the original image into grayscale and then convert it to binary. The parameter of the stationary angle is when it has an angle of less than or equal to 38 °, the ground pepper includes fine ground pepper. If the angle ranges from 38o to 40o, including medium powdered pepper, and if the angle is greater than 41o, including the texture of coarse pepper powder. Testing 3 different types of samples obtained 40 mesh is 35.18 o; for 20 mesh is 40.46o and 10 mesh is 41.66o. Therefore, it can be seen that the smaller the texture of the size of ground pepper, the finer the quality.
