Éléments pour une approche morphométrique de la croissance végétale et de la floraison : le cas d'espèces tropicales du modèle de Leeuwenberg

A quantitative description of primary growth from the apical meristem activity is proposed for four tropical plants: Alstonia vieillardii var. vieillardii (Apocynaceae), Miconia ciliata (Melastomaceae), Ricinus communis (Euphorbiaceae), and Solanum rugosum (Solanaceae). The development of these four plants corresponds to Leeuwenberg's model. Three parameters were measured at different stages of plant growth: leaf surface, length of the underlying internode, and the surface of the internode section. Two other parameters were derived from these three: parameter T, which summarizes the first three parameters and corresponds to the overall dimension of the leaf–internode system, and parameter D, showing the differential evolution of the leaf surface and the corresponding axial volume. The higher the D value, the higher the predominance shown by the twig over the leaf component. This phenomenon is named axialization. The reciprocal situation is called foliarization. For parameter T, the observed variations are present in all four species and showed an increase followed by a decrease in dimensions during the growth process. From the evolution of parameter D, two processses can be recognized. In A. vieillardii var. vieillardii and Solanum rugosum, the amplitude of variation is wide and can be compared with that of parameter T. In M. ciliata and R. communis, the amplitude of variation is significantly reduced. A link can be established between this morphometric evolution and flowering. The results obtained for these four species are compared with those obtained by other researchers and bring new elements to the study of the relationship between the vegetative evolution of the plant and its flowering. This study aims to determine the relationship of work values with the Batak Toba ethnic. This research was conducted at the Mobile Brigade Unit of the North Sumatra Regional Police. The subjects in this study were 45 people. This study uses a quantitative description approach. The results of the study are to find that hamoraon, hagabeon and hasangapon (3H) are in line with the principle of the work value of Brimob members. 3H is the peak achievement of individual Toba Batak ethnic work value in the mobile brigade unit of the North Sumatra regional police. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Satuan Brigade Mobile Kepolisian Daerah Sumatera Utara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 45 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskripsi. Hasil penelitian adalah menemukan bahwa hamoraon, hagabeon dan hasangapon (3H) sejalan dengan prinsip nilai kerja pada satuan anggota Brimob. 3H merupakan puncak pencapaian dari nilai kerja individu yang beretnis Batak Toba di satuan brigade mobile kepolisian daerah Sumatera Utara. Previous studies on palm phyllotaxis deal mainly with the mature trunk. The goals of this study are (i) to determine the relationship between the number of parastichies, the divergence angle, and the plastochrone ratio at the level of the shoot apical meristem; (ii) to examine whether there are fluctuations in the divergence angle; (iii) to interpret the significance of phyllotactic parameters with respect to the mode of growth of the apex. The tubular base of the leaf primordium is more or less asymmetrical, and completely surrounds the shoot apical meristem. The phyllotactic system corresponds to a (2, 3) conspicuous parastichy pair. The mean divergence angle per apex varies between 126.9° ± 9.3° (mean ± SD) and 135. 8° ± 8.0°. Divergence angles for all apices fluctuate within a range of 115.89° to 157.33°. The mean plastochrone ratios between apices varies from 1.35 ± 0.18 to 1.58 ± 0.12. The plastochrone ratio at each plastochrone for all apices ranges from 1.09 to 2.00. There is no correlation between the angle of divergence and the plastochrone ratio. There is a fluctuation in the value of the divergence angle that falls within the range predicted by the fundamental theorem of phyllotaxis. The high value of the ratio of the diameter of leaf primordia over the diameter of the apex, and the long plastochrone might explain the lack of correlation between certain phyllotactic parameters.

This paper presents an analysis of the relationship of particle velocity and convergence of the particle swarm optimization. Its premature convergence is due to the decrease of particle velocity in search space that leads to a total implosion and ultimately fitness stagnation of the swarm. An improved algorithm which introduces a velocity differential evolution (DE) strategy for the hierarchical particle swarm optimization (H-PSO) is proposed to improve its performance. The DE is employed to regulate the particle velocity rather than the traditional particle position in case that the optimal result has not improved after several iterations. The benchmark functions will be illustrated to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The advantage of LED lamps over conventional means of plant irradiation is described. An analytic expression is proposed to determine the relationship between LED lamp characteristics and plant parameters such as the stem growth and biomass. The formula also identifies the plant growth phase, which is crucial in development of automated energy-saving LED irradiation facilities for greenhouses.

This paper focuses on analyzing the achievements and limitations of Vietnam in the implementation of social equity in the economic growth process after the renovation in 1986. Economic growth generated capital to invest in social welfare, more income and opportunities for people to enjoy a prosperous life. However, besides above achievements, there still remain many limitations, such as: unsustainable development in income, living standard and poverty alleviation; low quality of health care, education and entertainment services. Based on the analysis of the causes of the limitations, this paper proposed the orientations for solving the relationship between the economic growth and social equality in Vietnam in the future.

The specificity of the action of antigibberelin drugs is that they can influence the processes and intensity that cannot be corrected by agronomic measures of cultivation. The purpose of the work was to scientifically substantiate the use of plant growth inhibitors with an antigibberelin type of action as an element of soybean cultivation technology, to identify their effect on growth, development and productivity. The research was carried out on a soybean plants of the Triada variety. At a height of shoots 10-15 cm plants were treated with aqueous solutions: 0.5% tebuconazole, 0.2% ethephon and 0.5% chlormequat chloride until complete wetting of the leaves. Control plants were treated with water. During the research, morphological parameters, leaf surface area, and organ mass were defined. It was established that the use of plant growth inhibitors with an antigibberelinic mechanism of action (the ethylene producer esfone (0,2 %), the triazole-derived retardant tebuconazole (0,5 %) and the onium preparation chlormequat chloride (0,5 %) on soybean plants led to morphological and anatomical changes: decreasing of the mass of leaves and stem, increasing the thickness of the stem and root collar. The preparations reduced the length of internodes of soybean plants,, that created the preconditions for plant resistance to lodging. Plant growth inhibitors had different effects on the leaf surface area of soybean plants: there was an increase in this indicator by 24% for the use of chlormequat chloride, and processing with esfon and tebuconazole led to a decrease of 26% and 23% accordingly. Different effects of retardants were found on the length of the main root. Under the action of esfon the length of the main root decreased by 20%; the application of both chlormequatchloride and tebuconazole, this indication increased accordingly by 43% and 37%. The question of studying the influence of modern plant growth regulators with a different mechanism of action on the productivity of different varieties of legumes remains relevant
