Questions of teleology of art rhythm are closely related with concept of time. Objectives address the problem: to consider the relationship of aesthetic effects poetic prose associated with the manifestation of the reverse time in the story and vertical time in the architectonics of the artistic whole with literary codes. The article analyzes the aesthetic effects of poetic prose, considers the imposition of codes Hamlet’s and Macbeth’s in the plays by A.P. Chekhov and the novel by B. Pasternak Doctor Zhivago. The article analyzes the aesthetic effects of poetic prose, considers the imposition of this codes. Objectives address the problem: to consider the relationship of aesthetic effects poetic prose associated with the manifestation of the reverse time in the story and vertical time in the architectonics of the artistic whole with literary codes. In the novel of Pasternak, the Macbeth’s code in poetic prose appears in the rhythmic structure, the Hamlet’s code - in a symbolic structure. The allusion to Shakespeare’s text creates a strong voltage point between the inner dialogue with Shakespeare and something occurring in silence. Probably, the teleology of rhythm in the recent literature tematizada using these codes as the most adequate of modern European consciousness.

The article deals with the meaning of intertextual reading of "The Master and Margarita". The text of the novel is considered as a model of counterculture, from the standpoint of which the author chooses those literary codes from which his own model of literary behavior is built. These dominant codes are manifested in the course of decoding as a result of correlation of intertextual borrowings. This takes into account not only external borrowings, but also the relationship within the novel and the relationship of the novel with other Bulgakov’s texts. Special attention is paid to such signs of borrowing as a suit and money. As the keys to the novel, "The Inspector General", "The Covetous Knight" and "The Count of Monte Cristo" are updated, and the novel itself represents the act of retaliation of the author and the implementation of his inner freedom. Besides, the novel affirms the priority of genuine art over reality.

This paper aims to identify the aesthetic characteristics of the element of place in the novel (The Alchemist) through the process of influence, being affected, and revealing contradictions that existing in the human community. The plan involves an introduction and two chapters. The introduction came in two axes: the first: the place, linguistically and idiomatically, and the second axis: the summary of the novel. Whereas the first chapter, which is labeled (types of place), is based on four topics: - The first: the domesticated place - the non-domesticated place. - The second: the open space - the closed place - Third: Place of residence - place of relocation - Fourth: the real place - the imaginary place Moreover, the second chapter entitled (Description), it included three sections: - The first: the relationship of place to the character. - The second: the relationship of the place to the event. - The third: the relationship of the character to the event. At the end we conclude the conclusion of the paper with the most important results.

This booklet is a collection of the position statements accepted for the HRI’20 conference workshop “Social Cognition for HRI: Exploring the relationship between mindreading and social attunement in human-robot interaction” (Wykowska, Perez-Osorio & Kopp, 2020). Unfortunately, due to the rapid unfolding of the novel coronavirus at the beginning of the present year, the conference and consequently our workshop, were canceled. On the light of these events, we decided to put together the positions statements accepted for the workshop. The contributions collected in these pages highlight the role of attribution of mental states to artificial agents in human-robot interaction, and precisely the quality and presence of social attunement mechanisms that are known to make human interaction smooth, efficient, and robust. These papers also accentuate the importance of the multidisciplinary approach to advance the understanding of the factors and the consequences of social interactions with artificial agents.

This chapter approaches police records as a genre that gains from being considered in its relationships with other genres of writing. In particular, we will follow its long-standing relationship to detective fiction, the novel, and biography. Going further, the chapter emphasizes the intermedia character of police records not just in our time but also throughout their existence, indeed from their very origins. This approach opens to a more inclusive media history of police files. We will start with an analysis of the seminal late nineteenth-century French manuals prescribing the writing of a police file, the famous Bertillon-method manuals. We will then track their influence following their adoption nationally and internationally, with particular attention to the politics of their adoption in the colonies. We will also touch briefly on the relationship of early policing to other disciplines, such as anthropology and statistics, before moving to a closer look at its intersections with photography and literature.

The article deals with the semantic field of the theater in "The master and Margarita", which extends to all novel chronotopes and can be structured as a two-level one. Considering different cases of theatricalization of space and different signs of theatricality in the novel, the authors correlate the real theater (theatre as a historical reality ) and the literary theater (the art of acting ) and actualize the confrontation of literature and historical reality in "The Master and Margarita". The text of the novel is considered as a model of counterculture, from the standpoint of which the author chooses those literary codes from which his own model of theatrical behavior is built. At the same time, special attention is paid to the actualization of the metaphor "theater - court" and the semantics of exposure, and the novel itself is an act of vengeance of the author and the implementation of his inner freedom. As an example of such an artistic concept of the relationship between art and life, the film "Once upon a time... in Hollywood" by Tarantino is considered.

The development of tourism in North Bali is indebted to literary writers and works, but their contributions are rarely realized. Lovina Beach which was the center of the growth of North Bali tourism was originally introduced in the 1970s by writer Panji Tisna, later by Sunaryono Basuki who wrote several stories set in Lovina. This article analyzes the novel Aku Cinta Lovina (I Love Lovina, 2017) by Sunaryono Basuki to show aspects of the story that promote North Bali tourism. The novel is examined with a literary approach to tourism, with a focus on how the novel portrays the tourist attraction of Lovina and the relationship between the host and guest. The results of the analysis show that the novel Aku Cinta Lovina shows the strong reciprocal relationship between literature and tourism, where writers promote tourism, at the same time writers get inspiration from tourism. Besides being intense in promoting North Bali tourism, this novel also portrays a harmonious relationship of host and guest that reinforces Balinese hospitality which is an important attraction of Bali tourism. The interior design of Malaysian Islamic mosques is a vivid example of further innovation and innovation based on design creativity in design relationships.As a result of the interaction of this level, the design process shows a clear independence as a result of the interaction of the subjective capabilities factor of the interior designer based on the study of the specificity of the objective capabilities that govern the processes of drafting innovative decorative arts.Therefore, it was necessary to study this issue by identifying the research problem, which is summarized by: showing the features of design independence as a complementary principle in the designs of the interior spaces of Malaysian mosques,While the aim of the research focuses on identifying the features of design independence that are adopted as a complementary principle in the designs of the interior spaces of Malaysian mosques,While the importance of research is evident in presenting a clear picture of the concept of design independence, as it represents the theoretical base that can be used in practical application in designs of interior spaces for the chapel of the Malaysian Islamic mosques,The research study also includes both (research limits, theoretical framework, as well as research procedures based on the descriptive analytical approach (content analysis - case study)) leading to the results of the research study, which was among the most important: 1- Design configurations of all kinds and design configurations emerged within the designs of the internal determinants, based on the study of the interior designer, to the aesthetic independence of the division of space and size as a complementary principle within the internal determinants of the mosque of the two mosques. 2- The relationship of the principle of the independence of convergence as a complementary principle contributed to determining the distances between shapes, which can be perceived as a unified whole, through the distribution of units and shapes within a consecutive visual design system. While the most important recommendations emerged through the necessity of studying the choice of levels of internal determinants of the chapel of the Malaysian Islamic mosques.With the demonstration of the expressive characteristic of civilization development through design recruitment of appropriate vocabulary and design units with a careful selection of modern materials and materials in line with the innovative design path to achieve the requirements of design independence within the chapel of the Malaysian Islamic mosques.

This article suggests that bringing Jewish literature and Jewish thought into conversation can deepen our understanding of each. As an illustration of this interdisciplinary methodology, I offer a reading of Cynthia Ozick's 1987 Messiah of Stockholm. I claim that Ozick has embedded an argument about the relationship of post-Holocaust Jewry to the past into the literary features of her novel. Her argument draws in particular upon Leo Baeck's account of Judaism as focused on the present and future in contrast to the worshipful approach to the past characteristic of other religions. At the same time, I offer a more nuanced take on the fear of idolatry so often noted in analyses of Ozick's work and situate that fear in relationship to the literary theories of her predecessor Bruno Schulz, who plays a key role in the novel, and her contemporary Harold Bloom.

Taking its cue from the Victorian periodical debates characterizing realism as a crocodile and romance as a monster or ‘catawampus’, this chapter examines the role played by Amadis in early discussions of what the novel was, or should be; how it had developed; and where its future direction lay. For literary historians, Amadis constituted a bridge between the newly constructed ‘medieval’ and the emergent ‘modern’. Philosopher-theorists (Bakhtin) and novelists (Nabokov) alike continued to be fascinated by the relationship of Amadis to Don Quixote and its implications for theories of the novel. Novelists themselves (Bulwer Lytton, Ouida, and Thackeray) enlisted Amadis in their critique of modern masculinity. The final iteration of Amadis in English takes the form of chivalric compilations and abridgements for children; this concluding transformation proves to be emblematic of the many varieties of cultural work into which romance can be enlisted.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the objective and subjective changes in medial intereyebrow distance following endoscopic brow lift without corrugator resection. The authors designed a retrospective cohort study. The eligible patients included those receiving endoscopic brow lifts at Williamson Cosmetic Center in Baton Rouge, LA between June 1, 2014 and March 31, 2018. The primary outcome variable was the distance between the left and right medial brow. The secondary outcome variables were nonsurgeon evaluator’s perception of the change in intereyebrow distance and the aesthetics of the intereyebrow region. The relationship of the outcome variables to the primary predictor (time point—preoperative and postoperative) was analyzed using paired sample t-tests. The relationship of the outcome variables to the other predictors was analyzed using Pearson correlations. A P-value of less than .05 was considered significant. A total of 41 patients were included in the study. The average age was 55.3 ± 8.5 years and all patients were women. The average time from surgery to postoperative photos was 6.2 ± 3.2 (range: 3-15) months. The average preoperative intereyebrow width was 31.5 mm, and the average postoperative width was 33.1 mm ( P < .0001). Correct perception of the intereyebrow change was found to be positively correlated with increasing patient age ( P = .047) and increasing change in intereyebrow width ( P = .008). The intereyebrow distance was perceived as aesthetic for 73.4% ± 31.0% of preoperative patients and 76.1% ± 27.6% of postoperative patients ( P = .346). Patients with a preoperative intereyebrow distance perceived as aesthetic are very likely to be perceived as aesthetic postoperatively (correlation coefficient 0.817, P-value < .0001). Following endoscopic brow lift without corrugator muscle resection, there is a small, but statistically significant increase in the intereyebrow distance. However, this change was not associated with negative perception of the aesthetic appearance of the intereyebrow region.
