The smart parking industry around the world continues to evolve due to the advancement of the technology and inadequate parking availability especially in city areas that congested with traffic makes the parking issues become more crucial. Most of the countries around the world trying to improve their parking system to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the parking mechanism. In N Go is a proposed parking system that integrated with Car Plate Recognition Technology to enhance the parking process to become more efficient. Car Plate Recognition is the key technology of the proposed system that can supported by Mobile Application for ease of information access on parking area, issuing receipts, parking history, parking feedback, manage payment and manage personal account. In N Go system is easy to use by performing 4 easy steps to park, which the first step is to register an account, followed by register car plate number, register a payment and finally maintain registered payment balance. The payment methods used for this system can be either using Credit or Debit card. The benefits of the system is to improve the traditional parking system that still using either receipt or card that is inefficient and this system also can prevent long queues for the payment. Others system functionality are to blast the announcements and penalties to the users. This paper is also highlighting on the conceptual model of the In N Go system.

In This project we are designing an IoT based Smart parking system that integrates with mobile Application. It provides a comprehensive parking solution both for the user and owner of the parking space. Features are provided for reserving a parking space, authenticating a reserved user, identifying nearest free space depending on the size of the vehicle, navigating to the parking slot and computes accounts information on daily, weekly and monthly basis. IR sensors are used to identify if a parking spot is free. Availability of a free slot with its location information is transmitted using WIFI module technology, microcontroller and wireless communication technology to the server and is retrieved though a mobile application. RFID tag attached to a vehicle is used to authenticate a user who reserves the parking slot on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis. A scheduling algorithm is used to identify the nearest free slot based on the size of a vehicle. The owner of the parking space can get the analytics of the number of free and available slots for a given period, the occupancy rate on week days and weekend and the amount collected for a given period and can use it for fixing variable parking fees. The mobile application is designed to provide rich customer experience.

Abstract Although the smart parking system is not a new concept for Sri Lankans, the idea of booking parking slots in advance and then parking is a novice theme for our country. So, we decided to see that novice theme as a new opportunity and used this concept for our study title, As the first phase of the study, we agreed to design a remote reservation parking system for a public parking area. We designed an online parking reservation mobile application system that shows the available free parking slots to the users where the users can reserve a parking slot for any time they want. IoT-enabled mobile app technology was used to develop the system. Results show promising results applying such a system to local parking stations in Sri Lanka.

Nowadays, the internet of things plays a crucial role in our life by connecting things with humans via the web. This study proposes a sensible system supported Arduino components, website and mobile application. The system helps drivers to seek out an empty park space counting on the amount of unoccupied lots within the park. The parking lots are impossible to be reserved with the standard parking system. This study provides a mobile app which will be utilised to seek out a free lot during a nearest park. Smart parking also help to reduce the pollution in cities as it help in fuel consumption. Moreover, it helps to scale back the time of finding car lot. Also, it helps the person who is driving to seek out his car when he forgets the car location easily. However; the system adopts new tables’ structure, yellow booking light within the parking zone, books and buys through app & gate circuit monitor. Finally, the system shows the reserved, booked and empty lots in park for workers and drivers.

Smart Parking System is based on Internet of Things technology and Android Application which enables the customer to view the available parking spaces and also book the parking space. Therefore, the project aimed at designing a system that will enable the customers to book the parking slot at their convenience. The data for functional, non-functional and system requirements were collected. This data was used to prepare the UML diagrams such as the Entity Relationship Diagram. This system was implemented using different IOT tools like IR sensors and also includes mobile application development for creating interfaces for booking parking slots.

Since the birth of 5G, it has attracted much attention from all countries in the world. The development of 5G industry is particularly important for domestic economic development. 4G changes life, 5G changes society. 5G will not only accelerate the speed of people surfing the Internet, but also bring revolutionary changes to all aspects of social life, making people's lives, work and entertainment more convenient and diverse. The economic impact of the development of the 5G industry on China cannot be underestimated. Nowadays, information and communication technology has increasingly become a new driving force for economic development. 5G technology has already become a key technology pursuit for countries to compete for the status of world power, and it has also become an indispensable part of contemporary economic and social development. We should give full play to the government's guiding role, and work with network giants to build a new platform for cooperation, promote coordinated industrial development, achieve win-win results, and promote economic and social prosperity and development.

In colonised territories all over the world, place-based identity has been interrupted by invading displacement cultures. Indigenous identities have become more complex in response to and because of racist and genocidal government policies that have displaced Indigenous peoples. This paper is a personal account of the identity journey of the author, that demonstrates how macrocosmic colonial themes of racism, protectionism, truth suppression, settler control of Indigenous relationships, and Indigenous resistance and survivance responses can play out through an individual’s journey. The brown skinned author started life being told that she was (a white) Australian; she was told of her father’s Aboriginality in her 20s, only to learn at age 50 of her mother’s affair and that her biological father is Māori. The author’s journey demonstrates the way in which Indigenous identities in the colonial era are context driven, and subject to affect by infinite relational variables such as who has the power to control narrative, and other colonial interventions that occur when a displacement culture invades place-based cultures.

The coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has a direct and indirect effect on the different healthcare systems around the world. In this study, we aim to describe the impact on the utilization of emergency medical services (EMS) in Saudi Arabia during the COVID-19 pandemic. We studied cumulative data from emergency calls collected from the SRCA. Data were separated into three periods: before COVID-19 (1 January–29 February 2020), during COVID-19 (1 March–23 April 2020), and during the Holy Month of Ramadan (24 April–23 May 2020). A marked increase of cases was handled during the COVID-19 period compared to the number before pandemic. Increases in all types of cases, except for those related to trauma, occurred during COVID-19, with all regions experiencing increased call volumes during COVID-19 compared with before pandemic. Demand for EMS significantly increased throughout Saudi Arabia during the pandemic period. Use of the mobile application ASAFNY to request an ambulance almost doubled during the pandemic but remained a small fraction of total calls. Altered weekly call patterns and increased call volume during the pandemic indicated not only a need for increased staff but an alteration in staffing patterns.
