In an era of SMART BUILDING, SMART HOUSES, this project came up with an idea of building a smart device which works smartly on some level. The system always tried to use the resources in a way that it should be conserved and should also not disturb current need and fulfil it. In order to come up with a solution which will not only conserve the energy resources but will also be an assistant with its control over the device. The system using Arduino paired with sensors and bunch of algorithms which will help in controlling the device and the device which is to be controlled with this controller will be an Air Conditioner. Using the data analysis of different aspects of weather conditions and timings and will train controller to control the device with solving the W’s of the situation i.e. How, When, Why and Where. The device will automatically control the air conditioner like when to power on and off, like on what temperature the AC should be and more.

Smart house or automation house and security system has been developed in the recent years because its importance to provides the energy saving, comfort for the elderly and security to the house owners. This paper proposed to design a low cost and flexible home prototype system for controlling and monitoring. The proposed design based on two parts; first part, automation system was building by using Arduino UNO microcontroller which responsible on reading and processing the different types of sensor values that's used in the design such as gas leak, flame and temperature as well as the remote control used in automatic garage door. The second part is security system and outdoor lighting the NodeMCU will be used to monitor the state of the house security from anywhere through a special GUI was programming by HTML language that allows the user to monitor the house security as well as extinguishing and operating the outdoor light via specific IP address granted by the NodeMCU.

The main objective of this paper is to develop a smart home using NodeMCU with the help of LabVIEW software. As technology is advancing, surroundings are also getting smarter. As a part of this smart development, modern houses are shifting from conventional switches to centralized control systems. The conventional system makes it difficult for the elderly and physically challenged to operate. So, this home automation system provides the best modern solution. In this home automation system, we use LabVIEW connected to NodeMCU which is a low-cost open-source IoT platform that helps in controlling lights, fans and to detect temperature, gas. LabVIEW is engineering software that provides rapid access to hardware and data insights. It makes the operation easy and helps us avoid bulk connections. Creating this type of integrated advanced technology helps we move faster into a new modern world. Home automation avail oneself of LabVIEW is tested and compared with existing standard ways. The planned system contains an easy structure, economically value effective, and versatile scaling up for a correct automatic home future.

Computer scientists and researchers have focused their efforts on advancing from traditional computing techniques to the use of “Industry 4.0”. Specifically, this term includes breakthroughs in numerous fields, including manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning and data science. Additionally, emphasis is placed on the so-called “Internet of Things”, i.e. the development of interconnected devices capable of communicating and processing information, mainly from sensory networks. This article presents electronic devices used for home automation. Specifically, it presents different types of residential sensors which can transform a traditional house to a “smart home”. Furthermore, it reviews their possible uses, such as for ventilation, security and temperature monitoring. Lastly, for each of the sensors, the article recommends low-cost sensory devices to set up affordable home automation projects, such as an Arduino and a Raspberry Pi.

ZigBee home automation networks is a future trend of intelligent home system. This paper analyses the types and characteristics of home automation terminal node. Based on the chip of CC2530 and Z-Stack protocol stack from Texas Instruments, the home automation universal terminal node is designed. The hardware design adopts modular form with CC2530 as its core, including CC2530 module, sensor module, output driving module and power supply module. For software design, Z-Stack protocol stack is transplanted. Based on the analysis of Z-Stack protocol stack, this paper presents the process of establishing a new ZCL application. Depending on the different types of terminal node, the program flow diagrams are provided. Practice indicates that the design proposal is universal and suitable for terminal node of home automation.

BACKGROUND Dementia is one of the major cause of disability and dependency among the elderly worldwide, and there are general psychological distresses among caregivers in dementia, such as depression and anxiety symptoms. The physical and mental health of the caregiver is a prerequisite and a promise to help the elderly stay alive and promote health. Web-based interventions can provide for a more convenient and efficient support and education, OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of internet-based interventions on mental health outcomes of family caregivers with dementia, and exploring which components of the web-based interventions play an important role.which are likely to reduce caregivers’ negative outcomes associated with care. METHODS A comprehensive literature search was conducted on PubMed, Embase, PsycINFO, Cochrane Database and CINAHL by using relevant terms such as web-based and caregiver as keywords, covering all studies published before June 2018. Two reviewers independently reviewed all published abstracts, according to the established inclusion and exclusion criteria ,we extracted the information about participants, interventions and results, respectively, and reviewed the quality of articles on the methods of randomized trials using the approach recommended by the Cochrane Handbook for systematic review for intervention. RESULTS A total of 815 caregivers participated in 6 articles, and 4 of the studies use depression as an outcome, according to the research after different interventions based on network after the intervention, depression scores average drop of 0.23 (95%CI -0.38 to -0.07, p<0.01), 2 studies show caregivers anxiety symptoms, the average score for anxiety dropped by 0.32 points (95% CI -0.50 to -0.14, p< 0.01), but in terms of coping, pain and stress, the web-based interventions have shown a poor effect. On the whole, the addition of professional psychological support on the basis of education can improve mental health of carers. CONCLUSIONS Internet-based interventions were generally effective in reducing anxiety and depression in dementia carers, although negative results were found in some studies. But in terms of burden and stress, further research is needed.
