Mathematical models to predict the effect of altering various parameters in real-life situations are now widely used. The complexity of the factors that control the growth of crops makes such modelling very difficult in the context of agriculture, but nevertheless some useful results have been obtained. This article reviews the progress that has been made in predicting the effect of air and soil temperature on the growth of plants.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the legal consequences of the agreement of power sell off made in the manufacture of an agreement of sale by Notary. Legal theory used in this study, among others: justice theory, the theory of authority and responsibility theory. The approach used in this study is primarily sociological juridical approach. Sociological juridical approach is to identify and conceptualize law as a social institution that is real and functional in a real life system. The results of this study finally provides the answer that the certificate authority to sell off which made the authorizer to the Proxy should still be subject to and required for payment of taxes from the sale of land and / or buildings that have been sold such, it thus obliged Notary socialize at the time the parties face because it is concerned responsibility by agreement authorized to sell he made in the manufacture of an agreement of sale in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Indonesian Government Regulation No. 36 of 2016 regarding Income Tax on Income From the Transfer of Rights to Land and / or Buildings, And Agreements sale and purchase Land And / Or Building Along with its amendment. Keywords: Certificate Authority To Sell; Agreement Of Sale; Notary.

Recent advances made in the reuse of pulp and paper industry sludges in hardboard production are explained. Data obtained from pilot and full-scale plants using primary sludge of a pulp and paper industry as an additive in the production of hardboard is presented. An economic analysis of the reuse of pulp and paper primary sludge in hardboard manufacturing is given. The quality of the hardboard produced is tested and compared with the qualities of the hardboard produced by the same plant before the addition of primary sludge. The hardboard with primary sludge additive has been used in Turkey for about a year in the manufacturing of office and home furniture. The results are very satisfactory when the primary sludge is used at 1/4 ratio.

: Paroxetine is a potent inhibitor of serotonin reuptake and is widely prescribed for the treatment of depression and other neurological disorders. The synthesis of paroxetine and the possibility to prepare derivatives with a specific substitution pattern that may allow their use as biological probes, is an attractive topic especially for medicinal chemists engaged in neurosciences research. Considering the extensive work that was developed in the last decade on the total synthesis of paroxetine, this review summarizes the most important contributions in this field, organized according to the reagent that was used as starting material. Most of the methods allowed to prepare paroxetine in 4-9 steps with an overall yield of 9-66%. Despite the progress made in this area, there is still room for improvement, searching for new eco-friendly and sustainable synthetic alternatives.

Changes in embryo dormancy of capeweed [Arctotheca calendula (L.) Levyns.] seeds in response to temperature were investigated to determine the nature of seasonal dormancy cycles. Primary embryo dormancy persisted for 2–3 months after seed collection and was then rapidly relieved when seeds were maintained at temperatures simulating summer soil surface temperatures. Embryo dormancy was also rapidly relieved in seeds maintained at constant temperatures, indicating that a daily temperature fluctuation was not necessary for the relief of embryo dormancy in capeweed. Dormancy relief was maximal at 40°C. Secondary dormancy was induced when seeds were maintained at low temperatures and a water potential of –1.5 MPa, suggesting that the onset of winter may postpone germination until a subsequent autumn. These results indicate that the dormancy cycles observed in capeweed seeds maintained on the soil surface are probably driven by seasonal changes in soil temperature.

Research in smooth muscle contraction has shown remarkable progress over the last 5 years. Striking advances have been made in the areas of biochemical regulation of contraction, centering on myosin light chain kinase activity, and of biophysical delineation of the contractile process at the actomyosin level by use of the newly developed motility assay. The purpose of the symposium held at Minaki, Ont., was to obtain a comprehensive reporting of the recent advances made in the area of smooth muscle contraction. Specifically, advances in the areas of biophysics of contraction, energetics, and contractile and regulator proteins (including the interesting newcomers caldesmon and calponin) and the changes that occur in pathophysiological entities such as asthma, hypertension, anaphylactic shock, high-altitude hypoxia, and persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn were presented.Key words: smooth muscle biophysics, smooth muscle biochemistry, energetics of smooth muscle, pathophysiology of smooth muscle.

A major consequence of the intensive multi-modal chemotherapy commonly used to treat malignancies in childhood is life-threatening infection, frequently during periods of profound neutropenia. Recent advances have been made in all areas of management, from trying to prevent infection to getting patients off antimicrobials and home again in the shortest, safest way. Potential avenues of further research are outlined for readers to be aware of in the next few years.

In this study, we adapted the school sports day to provide opportunities to relate real-life situations with mathematical knowledge and skills. The purpose of this study was to describe the way that the teachers interact with their students and the students’ responses during mathematical modelling processes. The designing of the modelling task was inspired by the Realistic Fermi Problems about the bleacher in the school sports day. The modelling task was designed by a collaboration of mathematics teachers and educators and experimented with 10th-grade students. Each experiment lasted for 45 minutes and was conducted in the one-day camp with 45 students. The results showed that the students who had no previous experience of mathematical modelling engaged in mathematical modelling processes with their friends under the guidance and supporting of the teacher. Most of them were able to think, make assumptions, collect data, observe, make conjectures and create mathematical models to understand and solve the modelling task.

In the industry, simulations are of great importance. They enable measurements to be made in different conditions about a virtual device, which are highly comparable to measurements made in a real life scenarios. Because of their wide range of usage in lower power drive systems, where precision and simplicity is a must, the subject of study is a permanent magnet stepper motor. For precise positioning purposes, it is essential to know the positioning behaviour of these devices. The model construction process involved an intermediate step, which consisted of creating the Bond-Graph of the motor based on pre-defined models available in the literature in this field. In the next step, the Bond-Graph model was converted to a block diagram of the motor. This permitted the direct implementation of the motor model in LabVIEW visual programming environment. The preliminary steps allows us to check and confirm the functionality and correctness of the model. This article covers in detail the model conversion and implementation steps of the simulation. At the end, the functionality of the simulation was tested.

In the modern linguistic literature, without taking into account new qualitative changes in contemporary syntactic theory, the theory of text science and speech activity, the view of the consideration of punctuation as a separate section of syntax still prevails. If the linguistic environment changes and the language has the ability to adapt to changes in real life, changes that are observed in a particular speech practice must first be seen as a new but standard, communicative, and pragmatic phenomenon (pauses, deviations). After all, speech and language are interrelated phenomena. Both are two other units of the system. From this point of view, changes made in the syntactic structure of speech should be recognized as consequences of non-verbal communication in non-oral (written) communication. Despite the recognition of the importance of many definitions and studies presented for punctuation, the generally recognized values of textbooks, the emergence of various additional clarifications, and changes relating to punctuation indicate the need to take into account the qualitative changes occurring in the practice of punctuation marks and punctuation-graphic means. In particular, the results of the survey among students clarify this opinion.
