A comprehensive model of the telecommuting adoption process, incorporating employer and employee perspectives, is developed. A probabilistic modeling approach is taken. The employer decision to offer a telecommuting program is modeled as a function of motivations and constraints and of the perceived impacts of telecommuting on the organization's productivity and costs. The employee decision to adopt telecommuting is modeled as a function of motivations and constraints as well as of the impact of the program on lifestyle quality, work-related costs, and income. The results indicate that telecommuting has a significant potential to increase productivity and improve lifestyle quality, if the right program is designed for the right employee. The potential of telecommuting to reduce organization and employee work-related costs is perceived to be limited. An overall negative perception about the potential impact on productivity and lifestyle quality of telework center–based telecommuting programs is identified, pointing to a need for further research to assess the market for telework centers.

Background: Night time reux has been shown to be associated with fragmented sleep. However, few studies have assessed the quality of sleep on gastroesophageal reux and the impact of gastroesophageal reux on reported quality of sleep and quality of sleep on gastroesophageal reux. The aims of this study were to evaluate the quality of sleep and other parameters in patients with gastroesophageal reux disease.50 Subjects with typical GERD symptoms ≥3 times a week and All subjects were administered 3 questionnaires: PSQI , ESS, GERD-HRQL . All the subjects underwent nocturnal polysomnography and completed a all 3 questionnaire before NPSG. Results: Overall ,the mean percentage of N1 was 9.10±9.74 ,N2 was 83.97±13.81 , N3 was 3.44±4.16 , N4 was 0.60±2.04 , REM was 2.14±3.79 , PSQI was 12.48±1.23 , ESS was 11.80±0.76 , TST (hr) was 5.19±0.74 , SPT(hr) was 6.58±0.77 , sleep efciency(%) was 52.50±27.16 , Latency (mint) was 22.79±30.85 , REM Latency (mints) was 96.99±151.86 ,and Microarousal index was 36.05±25.93 . To assess the potential impact of sleep quality via nocturnal polysomnography on severity of gastroesophageal reux , we performed correlations between the GERD questionnaire and nocturnal polysomnography reports . We observed that PSQI(r= -0.285, p<0.045) , ESS(r=0.206, p=0.05) , N1(r=0.202 , p>0.160) , N2(r=- 0.045 ,p>0.758) , N3(r=-0.079, p>0.583) , N4(r-0.209 ,p>0.145),REM(r=0.045 ,p>0.756) , TST(r=0.036 ,p>0.803), SPT(r=0.015,p>0.917) , Sleep Efciency (r=-0.113,p>0.435) , Sleep Latency (r=-0.045 ,p>0.756), REM Latency (r=0.165, p >0.253), Microarousal index (r=0.058 , p>0.683). Conclusions: Gastroesophageal reux disease and sleep disorders are extremely prevalent conditions, and it seems intuitive that there must be some overlap between the two. Sleep disorders may in fact be one of the most prevalent of the extraesophageal complications of GERD and often goes unrecognized.

The study examined mixtures obtained from ready pyrotechnic articles available on the market in Poland. Samples were taken from various products with different performance characteristics, i.e. pyrotechnic batteries, firecrackers, volcanoes, as well as smoke candles, rockets (including rocket engines), and cold fires. These are the product categories most frequently used by users. The research allowed to determine gaseous combustion products and showed their life cycle in the environment. A comparative analysis of selected pyrotechnic mixtures was carried out in terms of their impact on the climate change of gas products. Using the ICT-Thermodynamic Code program, gaseous combustion products were estimated and the life cycle was analysed using the SimaPro program. Determining the impact on the environment (upon the basis of Ecoindicator 99) allowed to know the scale of the problem and set the direction of development of the pyrotechnic industry, so that importers could compete not only with the price and quality of products offered, but also tried to reduce the potential impact on the environment.

Concrete remains the foremost magnificently used artifact on the soil. The vulnerability of concrete to very little scale breaking decreases its quality and toughness. The repair steel onself for splits is pricey, time disbursement and gets to be arduous in blocked off regions. A self mending bioremediation procedure consolidating spar quick microorganism has been projected among the show take into consideration which could operate the arrangement to this issue. The being spar precipitation will naturally recuperate the smaller scale splits and pores inside the concrete and avoid the broadening of splits. this could cause the thrifty of costs and times went through for maintenance and avoid the subsequent misfortune in quality and solidness of concrete. The concentration of true bacteria Megatherium 10^5cfu/ml and salt were introduced in auxiliary concrete to comprehend the right concentration of microbes. the quality of the foremost elevated review of being concrete had progressed as compared to the foremost reduced review due to the classification of the component. The cogitate has been created to assess the impact on mechanical and toughness properties of M35 review concrete created with substitution of cement with quarry clean ( third,15%,20% and, twenty five and 30%) for each set mechanical property wear examined by liberal arts compression check for 3d shapes, flexural check for bars at that quality ar progressing to be reached thereon result able to embrace the true bacteria Megaterum and at the instant another time discover out the compression take a look at for 3d shapes, flexural check for bars. being spar precipitation was evaluated utilizing associate X-ray diffraction investigation visualized by filtering research and analyzed by vitality dispersive spectroscope. it had been found that the right concentration of B.megaterium had a positive impact on quality auxiliary concrete.

The aim of this chapter is to better understand the enabling and inhibiting impacts IT has on lean manufacturing. This chapter provides a rich picture of a paper mill producing liner reels and the impact of a reel administration system on the manufacturing process. It is important that an IT tool supporting lean manufacturing reflects its organization. When it does the IT tool can act as an enabler of organizational change that in turn increase productivity and the production quality, when it fails to do so it inhibits organizational change and hampers the quality of production. The conclusion is that framing the definition of high production quality regarding product and process is important and that teambuilding would be a contribution to this end by enhancing perspective taking among the employees.

Abstract The one- plus four-dimensional variational data assimilation (“1D+4DVAR”) method currently run in operations at ECMWF with rain-affected radiances from the Special Sensor Microwave Imager is used to study the potential impact of assimilating NCEP stage-IV analyses of hourly accumulated surface precipitation over the U.S. mainland. These data are a combination of rain gauge measurements and observations from the high-resolution Doppler Next-Generation Weather Radars. Several 1D+4DVAR experiments have been run over a month in spring 2005. First, the quality of the precipitation forecasts in the control experiment is assessed. Then, it is shown that the impact of the assimilation of the additional rain observations on global scores of dynamical fields and temperature is rather neutral, while precipitation scores are improved for forecast ranges up to 12 h. Additional 1D+4DVAR experiments in which all moisture-affected observations are removed over the United States demonstrate that the NCEP stage-IV precipitation data on their own can clearly be beneficial to the analyses and subsequent forecasts of the moisture field. This result suggests that the potential impact of precipitation observations is overshadowed by the influence of other high-quality humidity observations, in particular, radiosondes. It also confirms that the assimilation of precipitation observations has the ability to improve the quality of moisture analyses and forecasts in data-sparse regions. Finally, the limitations inherent in the current assimilation of precipitation data, their implications for the future, and possible ways of improvement are discussed.

Various studies have been discussed in the past time to predispose the contact of work place stressors on work quality of nurse. Most of the studies focused on the work place stressors and their relationship between work related quality of life of nurses that how stressors can affect the work quality of nurses and what are the reasons or is there any negative or positive relation between stressors and work quality. This study seeks to analyze the impact of work place stressors among nurses in their work quality by acquiring a quantitative testing method of administering questionnaires to the nurses in the health work place in Northern Cyprus. If the stressors that alter the task quality of nurses are low in the work place, there can be a positive relation between them and can make nurses work more comfortable and relaxed. The main findings suggests that there is a symbolic negative relationship of job place stressors with work nature and aspect of nurses. The results discloses that the frequency of job place stressors have a eloquent contact on work quality of nurses and there is a statistically expressive negative linear contingency within job related element of life and Nurses stress. In health care organization, designing and creating work to be more important and meaningful in their performance and in the manner at which their contributions are acknowledged.

Housing conditions as a determinant of the quality of life of disabled people, based on the example of people with sight dysfunctionOne of the basic needs of a person is to have a place to live. Virtually everyone dreams of having their own place, to relax and feel safe. Such a space is an important place for people with disabilities, because it is often the only place that is tailored to their needs, where they feel safer than in any other spaces. Every citizen of the country has the right to housing, which is provided by numerous documents and regulations. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the impact of housing conditions on the quality of life of people with disabilities. The following thesis has been formulated in the work: the disabled aim to improve the quality of their lives by changing housing conditions.Literature sources have been reviewed to define basic concepts, the results of previous studies have been correlated. After accessing the database, the results of the research carried out in March 2015 by the foundation “Nie widzę problemu” literally meaning “I do not see the problem” with involvement of employees and students of the University of Wroclaw have been compiled. The analysis shows that respondents most often live together with their parents and spend a large part of their income on purchases related to household appliances. As much as 60% of respondents do not own a flat. Approximately 68% find the buildings they live in are not suited to their needs, however only 23% of them try to get social housing.Translated by Karolina Riemel
