Presented simulation mathematical model of the mechanism of rotation of the column manipulator with energy-saving hydraulic drive. The model takes into account three mechanical process: the rotational movement of the column arm around a vertical axis load sway relative attachment points on the boom arm and the piston motion of fluid accumulator. To describe the rotation of the column using the basic equation of dynamics of rotational motion. The load represented either as a mass point, when the dimen-sions are small and the proportionality, or a rod if the simulated moving manipulator logs or pipes.

Workflow mechanisms of forestry cranes tower rotation are accompanied by large dynamic loads that cause sudden changes in fluid pressure in balancing and braking modes. When the rotary column stops at different positions damping of pressure of the working fluid vibration occurs due to its overflow from one chamber to another through an orifice, wherein the hydraulic energy is transformed into heat one, resulting in overheating and energy loss of fluid. Efficient are energy-saving hydropneumatic drives of column of the manipulator which are able to recover energy during transient conditions and to return some of the energy back into the system. For hydraulic manipulators with four paired hydraulic cylinders of rotation mechanism of the column one pair of cylinders is proposed to be replaced by pneumatic cylinders connected to a rotary column through the gear and toothed rack that allows you to transfer it into recovery mode of energy. A mathematical model of the boom rotation of the manipulator is developed; equations for a hydro pneumatic system recovery are made. In the model three mechanical processes are considered: the rotational movement of the column about the vertical axis of the manipulator, the forward movement of the plunger along the axis of the damper, and sway of the load relative to the attachment point on the manipulator arm. To solve the system of differential equations, computer program for the simulation of hydraulic manipulator equipped with a hydraulic damper is composed. The dependence of the restoring force of the displacement of the toothed rack is get. In the vicinity of the equilibrium position, this dependence is nearly linear over a wide range of rack movement: from about 50 to 180 mm. With significant turns of the column volume of one of the chambers of the air cylinder approaches zero value, whereby the restoring force of the module increases significantly, which helps braking of the column in the final step of rotation and influences the process of energy accumulation.

Energy saving today is an integral part of the development strategy of agricultural organizations. Considerable attention is paid to the modernization and automation of technological processes in agricultural enterprises, which can improve the quality of work and reduce the cost of production. The direction of modernization is to reduce the consumption of electric energy by improving the water treatment system in livestock complexes. (Research purpose) The research purpose is to determine the potential of solar energy used in the Nizhny Novgorod region and to determine the possibility of its use for water heating in livestock complexes and to consider the cost-effectiveness of using a device to heat water through solar energy. (Materials and methods) Authors used an improved algorithm of Pixer and Laszlo, applied in the NASA project «Surface meteorology and Energy», which allows to calculate the optimal angle of inclination of the device for heating water. (Results and discussion) Designed a mock-up of a livestock complex with a solar water heater installed on the roof, protected by patent for invention No. 2672656. A mathematical model was designed experimentally to predict the results of the plant operation in non-described modes. (Conclusions) The article reveales the optimal capacity of the circulation pump. Authors have created a mathematical model of the device that allows to predict the water heating in a certain period of time. The article presents the calculations on the energy and economic efficiency of using a solar water heater. An electric energy saving of about 30 percent, in the economic equivalent of 35 percent.

Based on deeply analyzing the working principles and energy-saving theory of loader secondary regulating transmission system, regenerating the transmission system’s inertial energy by controlling constant torque was put forward. Considering large changes of the parameters of the transmission system and its non-linearity, a fuzzy control was adopted to control the transmission system, and the mathematical model of the system was established, then the simulations of the performance of the transmission system has been conducted. The conclusion was made that the inertial energy can be reclaimed and reused in the system by the application of the secondary regulation technology, and braking by controlling constant torque is stable, it can ensure the security of braking at high speed and also permits changing the efficiency of recovery by changing the braking torque. The system’s power has been reduced and energy saving has been achieved.

Abstract The method for analysing transversal plane images from computer tomography scans is considered in the paper. This method allows not only approximating ribs-bounded contour but also evaluating patient rotation around the vertical axis during a scan. In this method, a mathematical model describing the ribs-bounded contour was created and the problem of approximation has been solved by finding the optimal parameters of the mathematical model using least-squares-type objective function. The local search has been per-formed using local descent by quasi-Newton methods. The benefits of analytical derivatives of the function are disclosed in the paper.

During the movement of the tractor on the uneven terrain, there are fluctuations that cause jumps of the working fluid in the hydraulic system and high dynamic loads. The solution to this problem is the use of an energy-saving hydraulic drive with a hydraulic accumulator and a system of aggregates this leads to increased efficiency and increased productivity of skidding grippers. A mathematical model of working processes with an energy-saving hydraulic drive is compiled.

The assembly method using the effect of rotational motion and vibration is considered. The presence of rotation allows to signifi cantly reducing the friction force in connection, which prevents the assembly process. The effect is achieved due to using the rotation of robot gripper and the vibrating device. A mathematical dynamics model of the robotic assembly process is presented

A mathematical model that describes a batch flotation process is presented. The model employed a similar method to the hindered settling of flocculated material. This idea is based on our experimental results that the time growth curves of separated liquor zone showed a similar character to the settling curve of flocculated material, when the vertical axis reversed. In this model, it is also assumed that the gas phase and solid phase have the same movement, that is microbubbles and solid sludge particles joined to form aggregated floc. By comparing the numerical prediction with experimental data, the usefulness of the model is confirmed and some examples of flotation simulation are demonstrated.
