The paper presents the analysis of the peculiarities of the verbal behaviour of the French politician Jean-Luc Mélenchon. On the examples obtained from his interviews and videos, the author demonstrates that by means of such figures of speech as metaphors and phraseological units, the French politician was able to materialize his persuasive strategies by manipulating people’s minds. It is emphasized that metaphoric expressions used within the idiolect of Jean-Luc Mélenchon were able to form positive or negative image and perception of the politician, therefore the role of these figures of speech cannot be underestimated. It is also observed that the study of metaphors is considered to be extremely important within the learning process at the University, especially when teaching the language of French political communication to students in Political Science, International Journalism and Diplomacy.

This chapter tracks the byways that led to the emergence of a cross-disciplinary cadre of scholars identified with the hybrid field of political communication. Concentrating on the period between the Columbia election studies of the 1940s and 1993, it telegraphs the influence of the disciplines of sociology, political science, psychology and communication on the emerging field, indicates how scholars such as Elihu Katz, Kurt and Gladys Lang, Murray Edelman, and Doris Graber seeded the intellectual ground from which the field would grow, catalogues the emergence of a concept of effects that includes such phenomena as learning, the construction of political meaning, and agenda setting, and features a study that isolated the role of communication in activating the variables from which forecasting models predict presidential election outcomes.

The aim of this work is to design, implement and evaluate a program for learning to play the guitar in the degree of Early Childhood Education through the use of video tutorials. The sample of participants of the study was a group of 167 students of the last year of the Degree in Early Childhood Education of the University of Murcia. For the data collection an ad hoc questionnaire and an interview with the professors responsible for implementing the programme were designed. This article argues that the technological structure of the modern world has reshaped drastically the role of political scientists as purveyors of information. Only a few decades ago, scholars were still central to the development, collection and dissemination of knowledge. But the transformation in the availability of data due to the proliferation of social media and research engines creates a new environment in which scholars can no longer claim to be the erudite carriers of hard-to-get facts. In order to play a constructive role in this quickly changing setting, political scientists need to invent a new identity for themselves as active practitioners engaged in a dynamic dialogue with students and policymakers.

The university academic staff is a key element of the quality of universities. Therefore, it is essential to understand if performance in their three possible roles (teaching, research and management) affects the learning process of students and, more specifically, their satisfaction. A database of 992 satisfaction surveys conducted at the University of Girona was used to show that not all the roles affect these two aspects in the same way and that contextual factors such as contractual tie and gender are also significant.

Формулируются наиболее важные задачи, решение которых могло бы существенным образом изменить ситуацию: повышение активности преподавателей философии на факультетах и в вузе в целом, поиск и использование новых эффективных форм и средств преподавания, внедрение в процесс обучения компьютерных технологий, интернета, укрепление связей преподавателей философии и профильных дисциплин. the article reveals the role of philosophy and other philosophical disciplines in the system of training a future teacher. It is stated that one of the results of reforms in the field of higher education was a significant reduction in the number of classroom hours allocated to the course of philosophy, and the study of logic, ethics and aesthetics that contribute to the formation of a future teacher of a high culture of thinking, «citizenship, patriotism, spirituality, humanity and other human qualities», is dependent on the preferences of educational program managers. It is shown that one of the major problems in teaching philosophy is the negative attitude of students and teachers of specialized disciplines of higher education institutions to this discipline. The most important tasks are formulated, the solution of which could significantly change the situation: increasing the activity of philosophy teachers at the faculties and in the University as a whole, searching for and using new effective forms and means of teaching, introducing computer technologies, the Internet into the learning process, and strengthening the links between philosophy teachers and specialized disciplines.
