This article analyses some categorical and methodological aspects of the problem of identity in the contemporary discourse of the humanities. The paper is relevant, on the one hand, due to the extreme heuristic significance of the concept of identity for studying various aspects of variability and stability in the development of sociocultural subjects and, on the other hand, due to numerous disputes over the essence of this construct and the limits of its application. The integral nature of the phenomenon of identity leads to the need to develop a methodological and conceptual apparatus that would provide a productive version of interdisciplinary interaction, a synthesis of psychological, cultural and historical approaches. Having scrutinized a number of modern psychological and cultural approaches to studying personal identity, the authors conclude that contemporary research on the problem of identity follows the trend of the integrative, systems analysis. The integrative analysis allows us to create a complete picture of the process of self-identification and at the same time trace in detail and describe its individual aspects. The combination of the axiological and the activity concepts of culture within the framework of the synthetic approach allows us to formulate a definition of identity as a sociocultural and social group integration, which forms an individual’s sociocultural subjectivity. The concept of identity as a synthetic theoretical and methodological construct maintains the focus of research attention on the fundamental and irremovable integration of a person into the cultural space, while allowing other options and methods for such an entry. The proposed concept of personal identity in the integrative version is considered as a kind of synthetic methodology, which is a productive way of developing an identity theory and can become a prerequisite for overcoming an identity crisis in cognitive and value aspects.

The article considers the issue of determining the legal nature of prohibition of changeable conduct committed for an unlawful purpose. The study is based on the analysis of civil law specific principles operation when estoppel is applied. The conclusion is drawn that the basis of estoppel lies in the operation of several principles of civil law, and the main principle is the principle of good faith. The rule of estoppel demonstrates the lack of consistency among civil law principles, when they are allowed to compete with each other. The article provides an overview of opinions with respect of estoppel definitions given in the Russian scientific literature. This is necessary to solve the problem of implementing rules concerning estoppel in the Russian legal system, since the law-maker has followed the path of enshrining certain kinds of estoppels in the legislation rather than formulating a universal rule that prohibits inconsistent and evasive behavior in the Civil Code of the RF. The author proposed an independent definition of estoppel as a universal category.

The purpose of the article is to typologize terminological definitions of security, to find out the general, to identify the originality of their interpretations depending on the subject of legal regulation. The methodological basis of the study is the methods that made it possible to obtain valid conclusions, in particular, the method of comparison, through which it became possible to correlate different interpretations of the term "security"; method of hermeneutics, which allowed to elaborate texts of normative legal acts of Ukraine, method of typologization, which made it possible to create typologization groups of variants of understanding of the term "security". Scientific novelty. The article analyzes the understanding of the term "security" in various regulatory acts in force in Ukraine. Typological groups were understood to understand the term "security". Conclusions. The analysis of the legal material makes it possible to confirm that the issues of security are within the scope of both legislative regulation and various specialized by-laws. However, today there is no single conception on how to interpret security terminology. This is due both to the wide range of social relations that are the subject of legal regulation and to the relativity of the notion of security itself and the lack of coherence of views on its definition in legal acts and in the scientific literature. The multiplicity of definitions is explained by combinations of material and procedural understanding, static - dynamic, and conditioned by the peculiarities of a particular branch of legal regulation, limited ability to use methods of one or another branch, the inter-branch nature of some variations of security, etc. Separation, common and different in the definition of "security" can be used to further standardize, in fact, the regulatory legal understanding of security to more effectively implement the legal regulation of the security direction.

The main purpose of the article is to review the most complete and holistic scientific works of Russian authors which are devoted to the study of Italian-Libyan relations. To carry out the research a broad historiographic base on the topic was involved, the author turned to both the “classic” works of Soviet scientists, and to the most modern scientific figures. One of the main tasks in the study of the topic is to identify the historiographic issues associated with the lack of modern Russian scientific literature on the referred theme. The article analyzes the specific features of the literature published from the end of the 20th to the beginning of the 21st century in Russia, highlighting the issue of interaction between two countries in different spheres of international relations. The methodological basis of the work is the issue-chronological and complex analysis of the used literature, the establishment of the cause-effect relationships and patterns in the Russian authors approaches to their research, as well as their interpretation for the current stage of development of relations between the two countries. During research it was revealed that most of the scientific works of our compatriots are devoted to a certain, rather narrow, range of issues: the Italian–Turkish war of 1911–1912, cooperation between Libya and Italy in the control of illegal migration from Africa to Europe, Italian military intervention in the civil war in Libya 2011. At the same time, not many Russian authors cover and analyze the Italian-Libyan cooperation in the politi- cal, cultural, social, and economic fields during the long-term period of Colonel Gaddafi’s rule in Libya. In this regard, the author of the article notes that there is a great amount of historical data: the diplomatic documents, resolutions, offi- cial letters of top public executives, treaties and agreements between the coun- tries, including documents of international organizations that are not studied at present sufficiently. The article identifies the most perspective areas for further research of Italian-Libyan relations, what emphasizes the importance and relevance of the chosen topic. The author comes to a conclusion that at the moment it seems quite difficult to find a well-founded, comprehensive scientific literature designed to determine the nature and options for the development of relations between Libya and Italy at the modern stage.
