The presence of weeds in crop cultivation has a negative effect on the crop because of their high competitiveness. One of the roles of weeds as allelopathy because weeds release chemical compounds that can inhibit growth and kill plants around them. This study aimed to determine the effect of concentration of ‘bandotan’ plant extracts plants at various application times on the growth and yield of mustard. The research was carried out at the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Pattimura University, from November 2017 to January 2018. This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) involving two factors and with three replications. The first factor was ‘bandotan’ extract with 4 concentration levels: control (no extract), 100 g/L, 200 g/L and 300 g/L. The second factor was application time with three levels: 5 days after planting (DAP), 10 DAP, and 15 DAP. The variables observed included plant height, leaf number, leaf area, fresh crop weight, and crop dry weight. Data analysis of each variable was conducted using the analysis of variance. If there was a significant treatment effect, it proceeded with the Tukey test at the level of α = 0.05. The results showed that the concentration of ‘bandotan’ extract did not significantly affect all observation variables (plant height, leaf number, leaf area, fresh crop weight, and dry weight of mustard). Time of ‘bandotan’ extract application did not significantly affect all observation variables (plant height, leaf number, leaf area, fresh crop weight, and dry weight of mustard). The interaction between ‘bandotan’ extract concentration and application time did not significantly affect all observed variables. Keywords:  application time, ‘bandotan’ extract, green mustard, growth and yield   ABSTRAK Keberadaaan gulma pada tanaman budidaya berpengaruh negatif pada tanaman itu karena daya kompetitif yang tinggi. This study aims to determine the differences in the growth response of green curly lettuce to the differentiation treatment of LED lighting with different spectrum in indoor hydroponics. The research was conducted from October to November 2017. The experimental design used was experimental with 1 lighting factor with 5 levels, there are sunlight (P0), LED 20% blue: 80% red (P1), LED 80% blue: 20% red (P2), 50% blue LED: 50 % red (P3), and 100% white daylight (P4). Observational variables included plant height, leaf number, leaf area, leaf color, total wet weight, leaf wet weight, wet root weight and dry weight of the plant. The result of this experiment showed that LED irradiation have affect the treatment are plant height, leaf number, leaf area, chlorophyll content, fresh weight of harvest, root length, and dry weight of brackets. While those that have no significant effect are the wet weight of the roots. The results showed that between LED irradiation treatment L1, L2, L3, and L4 showed that treatment L2 with 80% blue spectrum composition: 20% red showed better growth based on: high plant, chlorophyll content, and root length. Treatment with L4 with white LED showed better growth based on the number of leaves, leaf area, fresh weight of harvest, root wet weight, and dry weight of total biomass. The results below the sunlight better than the LED irradiation treatment, because the intensity of LED far low and lack of controlled environmental conditions technology and management for growing lettuce. In all of LED treatment still looked etiolation because light intensity was not optimal yet.

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of treatment of fertilization time and dosage of nitrogen to the growth and yield of peanut plants. This experiment is a two-factor experiment with incomplete randomized block design. The first factor is the time (S) of fertilizer consisting of three levels: During planting (S0), 15 days after planting (S1), 30 days after planting (S2), The second factor is the dosage of Nitrogen (N) fertilizer consisting of three levels: 25 kg/ha (N1), 50 kg/ha (N2). The results showed that treatment of fertilization time and a dose of nitrogen showed no significant effect on plant height, maximum leaf number, leaf area index, the total pod containing, total void pod, total pod number, oven dry weight of oven plants, and harvesting index. The interaction of nitrogen dose with a time of fertilization gave a very real effect to most observed variables except for maximum plant height, maximum leaf number, leaf area, harvest index that is not significant. The high dry weight of seed oven per plant was obtained at the fertilizer interaction treatment at 15 days after planting and the dose of nitrogen 25 kg/ha was 30.33 g and or increased by 152.75% and when compared with the control of 12.00 g. From a result of regression analysis got an optimum dose of nitrogen fertilizer that is 34.15 kg/ha with the dry weight of oven seeds per plant maximum 26.73 g. Keywords: Fertilization time, nitrogen dosage, peanut result
