The interest for a researcher to follow a participatory research approach compared to a conventional approach is multiple. The aim of this project is to make scientific research accessible to everyone, especially high school students. Our approach is a new concept of learning by doing for high school students that adopt the posture of a researcher to solve a problem presented to them. Students propose working hypotheses, imagine their protocol, experiment, discuss and communicate their results. High school students are supervised by the PhD students and the results from these studies are used for their research work. Currently several French and international Universities have approached us to implement this participatory research.

This study aims to determine the effect of the short video Tik Tok application on the existence of senior high school students. The theory used in this research is the CMC (Computer Mediated Communication) theory which is applied by the media to users which causes mood modification, tolerance, withdrawal, and conflict. The research approach used a quantitative approach using the Rho Spearman correlation analysis. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between the use of the Tik Tok application and the existence of high school equivalent students in Pekan Baru Riau. There were 36 respondents in this study using purposive sampling technique. The coefficient value shows a correlation of 0.637 with a significance level of p = 0.000 (p <0.05), meaning that the higher the use of the Tik Tok application, the higher the existence of junior high school students. On the other hand, the lower the use of the Tik Tok application, the lower the existence of high school students. The Tik Tok application shows that it can channel the talents of its users to share hobbies, talents and expertise with everyone. The advantage of Tik Tok that other applications do not have is the completeness of various video features for its users. Although there are social media such as YouTube that offers video features in the form of video sharing channels, YouTube only provides channels for certain users who meet the requirements, not for everyone.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to investigate how lessons Field Practices in Terrestrial Ecosystems can contribute to the process of education and high school students of Ecology of Learning. We will seek to highlight how these activities can contribute to the construction of problematizations and Learning generating questions. For this we follow the process of signification ecological concepts developed in Campo classes in Natural Ecosystems. The research activities were held with high school students in the discipline of biology in a state school in the city of Ilha Comprida / SP. In this research work with ecological concepts planned for the high school. The didactic sequence presented involved the presentation of natural phenomena. The project generator theme were the Terrestrial Ecosystem Ilha Comprida. Because it is an island sandbank presents many coastal ecosystems of the Atlantic Forest with unique characteristics. Close spatially and physically limited on the northwestern coast by the Small Sea (estuary) and the southeast coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The city has well preserved vegetation. Contato principal: [email protected]

The study aims at investigating the use of think-aloud strategy on eleventh grade students in senior high school. The students are randomly assign to two groups: students in experimental group use think-aloud strategy as their reading strategies in narrative and informative English texts; whereas, students in the control group use regular reading intruction. It is expected that eleventh grade studens in senior high school who apply think-aloud strategy show better reading comprehension than students who do not apply the same strategy. The total of sample in this study are 20 students in the second semester. The study uses experimental as the research approach. The researcher employs pre-test , post test. The tests are made based on a chart that explains the types of comprehension questions developed by Day and Park (2005) which is related to the effort in improving the student’ reading comprehension. The researcher finds that there is a significant relationship between the use of think aloud and overall reading comprehension, inference, prediction, evaluation and personal response comprehension. In addition, the result of the analysis of the pre and post-test scores shows that there is a significant improvement in the students post-test scores in comparison with pre-test scores.

Background:ADisaster is a serious disruption occurring over a short or long period of time that causes widespread human, material, economic or 1 environmental loss which exceeds the ability of the affected community or society to cope using its own resources . The key to reducing the loss of 2 life, personal injuries, and damage from natural disasters is widespread public awareness and education . Disaster management includes prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery for which, regular training and awareness activities are needed especially among students to greatly reduce the impact of disasters. Materials and Methods: It was an educational interventional design with an exploratory research approach adopting nonprobability purposive sampling technique, which was conducted among 178 students of government high school, aged 16-18years in Vijayawada from July 2019 to September 2019. Apre-tested structured questionnaire was used to collect data. Data collected was analyzed with SPSS v20.0. Result: Awareness regarding disaster management among high school students was found to be 59.9 % and after the intervention, the awareness level raised to 90.6 %. Paired t-test test showed that there was statistically signicant (p<0.05) improvement in awareness among students after an educational intervention. Conclusion: These ndings emphasize that the extent of knowledge is not yet satisfactory and there is a severe need of providing knowledge to school children. Disaster management chapters should be incorporated as a part of the regular school curriculum for all students. Effective, purposeful training and awareness programs are to be timely conducted. Many Campaigns and NGOs should be encouraged to spread awareness among schools and the public.

The Virtue Existential Career Model (VEC) is a Chinese career development model based on the Classic of Changes. It is designed to supplement the person-environment fit paradigm of Taiwan's 12-Year Basic Education for junior high school students. We adopted an action research approach with two parts, reflection-on-action and critical-emancipatory. An easy-to-use VEC career curriculum and a career information system (Career Genesis; CG) were developed by a team of staff members from government agencies (Tainan Department of Education and Student Counseling Centers), junior high schools, and the Chinese Career Research Center of National Changhua University of Education, Taiwan. The outcome of this project was strong on fostering interconnectedness. Implementing our VEC curriculum and CG to 30 junior high school students received statistically significant immediate increases in resilience, adaptation, and liking of career decision. The feedback and reflections suggest that mandating, attracting, and simplifying are useful strategies to promote our VEC model as well as to facilitate social change and create a multiple-win situation for all parties involved. This approach also follows the tao (道) of the Classic of Changes to provide new knowledge.
