The study of the influence of variable production conditions and the work in logistics milk harvesting systems on the value indicators of their functioning has been carried out. A method that enables to solve the task of coordinating the content of work with variable production conditions is proposed. It has been established that there are seven variants of the content of work in logistics milk harvesting systems, each of which has its own specifics. Computer experiments were carried out using the developed simulation model of logistics processes implementation. On the example of the production conditions of the Brody district in the Lviv region, trends in changing the cost performance of logistics operations for various content during the year are established. On the basis of the defined cost indicators, specific costs of funds for the execution of logistic works for each of the variants of their content are determined. It is substantiated that effective performance of work in logistic systems of milk harvest requires operational planning of their content for each of the days of milk harvest season. The conducted studies will be useful for managers who perform operational planning in logistics milk harvesting systems.

Making managerial decisions when choosing a variant of the technological chain for logging is complicated by the variety of natural and climatic conditions. The climatic features of the periods affect the productivity of technological machines and the cost of implementation. This research suggests using network planning to determine the technological chain of timber land development. The purpose of the research is construction of multi-purpose network models for planning the technological chain of logging operations in various production conditions of forestry enterprises operation. These models are aimed at making it possible to conduct calculations to increase the efficiency of labour, materials, funds, equipment distribution with the maximum reduction in the cost of logged products. As a result of the analysis of possible options for technological chains, several network models for the implementation of logging technological processes have been built.

The methodology is proposed and the simulation model of functioning of the energy supply system of agricultural enterprises using wind power installations is developed, which enables to solve the problem of justification of the parameters of the relevant system. The model of the energy supply system of an agricultural enterprise using wind power is developed, which is based on the method of stochastic simulation and provides justification of the parameters of this system by the cost criterion. On the basis of passive production experiments, the study of the natural-industrial conditions of energy supply of agricultural enterprises using the wind power installations for the conditions of Zhovkva district of Lviv region was performed. Computer experiments were carried out using the developed simulation model of functioning of the energy supply system of agricultural enterprises using wind power installations. On the example of the natural and production conditions of Zhovkva district of Lviv region, system functional indicators of the energy supply system of agricultural enterprises with the use of wind power installations are established. The tendencies of change in the cost of utilized energy for changes in parameters of the energy supply system of an agricultural enterprise using wind energy and the share of its replacement are justified.

This article discusses the features of using a multi-level simulation model of financial and economic forecasting when planning the activities of an enterprise operating in the railway industry, in particular in the segment of national and international freight transportation. The authors set a goal to show how, through the use of a multi-level simulation model of forecasting, it is possible to significantly increase the reliability of organizational and managerial decisions and ensure a more efficient allocation of resources and reduction of financial risks. The model constructed by the authors can be used to optimize costs, improve the quality of settlements with debtors and creditors, plan the cost and other indicators of financial and economic activity, the ability to build various forecast scenarios allows you to choose the most acceptable option for the company, taking into account the impact of key factors on the financial result and the level of financial risk.

Productivity in the manufacture of aircrafts components, especially engine components, must increase along with more sustainable conditions. Regarding machining, a solution is proposed to increase the cutting speed, but engines are made with very difficult-to-cut alloys. In this work, a comparison between two cutting tool materials, namely (a) cemented carbide and (b) SiAlON ceramics, for milling rough operations in Inconel® 718 in aged condition was carried out. Furthermore, both the influence of coatings in cemented carbide milling tools and the cutting speed in the ceramic tools were analysed. All tools were tested until the end of their useful life. The cost performance ratio was used to compare the productivity of the tested tools. Despite the results showing higher durability of the coated carbide tool, the ceramic tools presented a better behavior in terms of productivity at higher speed. Therefore, ceramic tools should be used for higher productivity demands, while coated carbide tools for low speed-high volume material removal.

We consider a multicomponent maintenance system controlled by an age replacement policy: when one of the components fails, it is immediately replaced; all components older than a threshold age θ are preventively replaced. Costs are associated with each maintenance action, such as replacement after failure or preventive replacement. We derive a weak derivative estimator for the derivative of the cost performance with respect to θ. The technique is quite general and can be applied to many other threshold optimization problems in maintenance. The estimator is easy to implement and considerably increases the efficiency of a Robbins-Monro type of stochastic approximation algorithm. The paper is self-contained in the sense that it includes a proof of the correctness of the weak derivative estimation algorithm.

In this paper we present a finite horizon single product single machine production problem. Demand rate and all the cost patterns do not change over time. However, end of horizon effects may require production rate adjustments at the beginning of each cycle. It is found that no such adjustments are required. The machine should be operated either at minimum speed (i.e. production rate = demand rate; shortage is not allowed), avoiding the buildup of any inventory, or at maximum speed, building up maximum inventories that are controlled by the optimal production lot size.

T-type zeolite can be used as catalyst, adsorbent, and membranes for gas separation. The synthesis of T-type zeolite needs to be optimized in both of the method and source of precursor, because of its relatively high price. In this research, the synthesis is done using silica extracted from bamboo leaves instead of commercial silica. This increases the value of the bamboo leaves and the cost-performance of zeolite synthesis. The silica was extracted from bamboo leaves ash using alkaline solvent. The extracted silica has 81.76% of purity and an amorphous phase. The T-type zeolite was synthesized using the molar composition of 0.15 Na2O : 0.025 Al : 0.15 K2O : 1 SiO2 : 15 H2O : 0.06 TMAOH, under hydrothermal method and heating process for 4 days, 60°C for 2 days and 120°C for the next 2 days. The characterization method using X-Ray Diffraction and Infra-Red Spectroscopy were performed to confirm the formation of T-type zeolite. The results of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) analysis show that the formed T-type zeolite has erionite cylindrical crystal shape.

The importance of the need for further constructive improvement of fifth-wheel couplings of timber tractors with semi-trailers has been substantiated. The main operational factors arising during the movement of a timber tractor with a semitrailer in the process of hauling timber and affecting the premature failure of the main parts of the fifth wheel coupling are considered. The influence on the resource of the fifth wheel coupling device of strict fulfillment of the mandatory operations of periodic lubrication of the saddle and the base plate of the semitrailer in the process of connecting and disconnecting it with a timber tractor is given. Described is the actual problem associated with excessive consumption of lubricant in the process of applying it to the friction surfaces of the saddle and the base plate of the semitrailer by the traditional method of extrusion. A possible method of dosed supply of the required volume of lubricant through the optimal number of lubrication holes to the friction surfaces is considered, which makes it possible to significantly reduce the cost of maintaining the operable state of the fifth wheel coupling. In order to preliminary evaluate the application of this lubrication method, which ensures the effective functioning of the fifth wheel coupling of a timber tractor with a semitrailer, several series of computer experiments were performed to determine the optimal number of lubrication holes in the saddle that evenly and dosed distribute the lubricant between the saddle and the base plate of the semitrailer.
