One of the eight wastes that Lean production, inspired by the Toyota Production System, proposes to study is the underutilization of workers, that is, the inadequate use of their intelligence. The sense is to provide listening and participation in improvement projects, of professionals who have experience in daily life and, in many cases, consistent academic qualifications.  The objective of this work is to study the importance of the participation of teachers and employees of a basic education school in the construction of new routines and work methods, in the context of the Lean management philosophy, justified by the scarcity of scientific literature on the subject. Brazil has about 184,000 basic education schools with one million four hundred thousand teachers working from kindergarten to the ninth grade of elementary school, and of these, 83.2% have a college degree, a percentage that grows every year. About the schools, 21.7% are private, 61.3% municipal, 16.6% state, and 0.4% are federal schools. As a research methodology, a systematic review of the literature was adopted, based on the PRISMA protocol, allowing the identification of 53 records, 14 of which were included in the literature review, due to their adherence to the researched subject. The main contribution of this paper is the identification of a research gap involving the underutilization of workers and adoption of the Lean management philosophy in the education sector, as well as a conceptual proposal of the positive impact on the educational organization results by not underutilizing workers, without wasting their intelligence.

In the last two decades, the use of technology in Finnish basic education has developed rapidly. The combination of digital and analogue resources is emphasized especially in the maker movement to reduce abstraction in digital equipment. Craft as a learning subject has substantive conditions for offering pupils instruction in both traditional analogue and current digital working methods within the subject area. The purpose of this study was to examine what kind of knowledge and skill development are expressed when three types of maker-inspired technologies consisting of 3D modelling, 3D printing and e-textiles, are integrated into a lesson sequence in craft in Grade 7 in a Finnish basic education school. The study was conducted as an action research cycle consisting of seven lessons within a craft sequence. The data collection method was a questionnaire. The study shows the development of pupils' self-reported knowledge and skills as well as their attitudes towards the technological contents of the lesson sequence. After restoring Independence in Lithuania, there has not been a separate research carried out which would contain an in-depth analysis of the quality of activities presented in history textbooks used in general education schools. Therefore, the following research problem is raised in this article: whether the activities presented in the history textbooks for 5th–8th grades that are currently in use in Lithuanian general education schools are suitable for developing the achievements in history subject which are defined in the General Curriculum Framework. The aim of this study is to investigate the suitability of history textbook activities for 5th–8th grades for developing pupils‘ achievements delineated in the General Curriculum Framework 2008. To reach this aim the following objectives were raised: 1) to discuss the key achievements in history subject as well as the requirements for history learning process that are highlighted in scientific literature and educational programmes; 2) to reveal the role of a textbook and its activities / activities system for improving pupils’ achievements in accordance to Lithuanian education documents and scientific literature; 3) to analyse the suitability of history textbook activities for 5th–8th grades for improving pupils’ knowledge and skills delineated in the General Curriculum Framework for Basic Education 2008 for the subject of history. Methods of research: analysis of education documents and scientific literature, analysis of textbook content. Data of the analysis revealed that more than half of the tasks in the investigated history textbooks for 5th–8th grades require from pupils knowledge and understanding of historical figures, events or cases depicted in a textbook. Fewer than a quarter of the analysed history textbook activities are designed to developing pupils’ ability to put knowledge into practice. Very few tasks presented in textbooks are intended for developing the capacity for more complicated reasoning. Whilst analysing the adaptation of activities in history textbooks for 5th–8th grades for developing pupils‘ competencies in the subject, it became clear that the activities are only partially suitable for developing the competencies delineated in the General Curriculum Framework. The greater part of tasks is designed for developing an understanding of historical evolution and ability to engage in historical analysis and interpretation. Only 4.3 percent of tasks induce the pupils to develop an ability to orientate in historical time and space. The analysed textbooks contain few activities that would motivate pupils to take an integral approach towards Lithuanian and world history.

The purpose of the article is to typologize terminological definitions of security, to find out the general, to identify the originality of their interpretations depending on the subject of legal regulation. The methodological basis of the study is the methods that made it possible to obtain valid conclusions, in particular, the method of comparison, through which it became possible to correlate different interpretations of the term "security"; method of hermeneutics, which allowed to elaborate texts of normative legal acts of Ukraine, method of typologization, which made it possible to create typologization groups of variants of understanding of the term "security". Scientific novelty. The article analyzes the understanding of the term "security" in various regulatory acts in force in Ukraine. Typological groups were understood to understand the term "security". Conclusions. The analysis of the legal material makes it possible to confirm that the issues of security are within the scope of both legislative regulation and various specialized by-laws. However, today there is no single conception on how to interpret security terminology. This is due both to the wide range of social relations that are the subject of legal regulation and to the relativity of the notion of security itself and the lack of coherence of views on its definition in legal acts and in the scientific literature. The multiplicity of definitions is explained by combinations of material and procedural understanding, static - dynamic, and conditioned by the peculiarities of a particular branch of legal regulation, limited ability to use methods of one or another branch, the inter-branch nature of some variations of security, etc. Separation, common and different in the definition of "security" can be used to further standardize, in fact, the regulatory legal understanding of security to more effectively implement the legal regulation of the security direction.

Abstract Objective Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which usually leads to non-specific respiratory symptoms. Although pregnant women are considered at risk for respiratory infections by other viruses, such as SARS and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), little is known about their vulnerability to SARS-CoV-2. Therefore, this study aims to identify and present the main studies on the topic, including the postpartum period. Methods In this narrative review, articles were searched in various databases, organizations, and health entities using keywords compatible with medical subject headings (MeSH), such as: COVID-19, pregnancy, vertical transmission, coronavirus 2019, and SARS-CoV-2. Results The review of the scientific literature on the subject revealed that pregnant women with COVID-19 did not present clinical manifestations significantly different from those of non-pregnant women; however, there are contraindicated therapies. Regarding fetuses, studies were identified that reported that infection by SARS-CoV-2 in pregnant women can cause fetal distress, breathing difficulties and premature birth, but there is no substantial evidence of vertical transmission. Conclusion Due to the lack of adequate information and the limitations of the analyzed studies, it is necessary to provide detailed clinical data on pregnant women infected with SARS-CoV-2 and on the maternal-fetal repercussions caused by this infection. Thus, this review may contribute to expand the knowledge of professionals working in the area as well as to guide more advanced studies on the risk related to pregnant women and their newborns. Meanwhile, monitoring of confirmed or suspected pregnant women with COVID-19 is essential, including in the postpartum period.

Squirting, or female ejaculation, is the expulsion of fluid during sexual stimulation. The limited scientific literature has focused primarily on clarifying what this fluid contains, while women’s own voices on the experience have received scant attention. This study explores 28 women’s experiences and applies a thematic analysis. The sensation of squirting is individual and sometimes conflicting. Descriptions range from considering it amazing, a superpower and feminist statement to an unpleasant and/or shameful event. Across the board, there is a wish for nuanced information and for the current taboo and mystification surrounding the subject to be broken.
