This study aims to evaluate the Equality Education program at the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School (PKPPS). The research was conducted in Ma'had Zaadul Ma'ad Palembang. The research time starts from October 2020 to April 2021. The research subjects are students of the Salafiyah Wustha level. This type of research is an evaluation research using the CIPP evaluation model (context, input, process, product). Evaluation is carried out to see the level of conformity of program implementation with the criteria set out in the PKPPS Technical Guidelines. The results showed that the PKPPS program at the Salafiyah Wustha level in terms of the context, process, or product dimensions was in accordance with the criteria so that the program needed to be continued. However, if viewed from the input dimension, it only reached a sufficient level of conformity. The researcher's recommendation for policy makers is to limit a maximum of 30 students per study group, educators who have not received a bachelor's degree to be directed to continue their education, educators are expected to teach subjects according to academic qualifications, the need for infrastructure is not fulfilled, and damaged infrastructure needs to be repaired. The components of the Salafiyah Wustha PKPPS program that need to be disseminated are mainly related to increasing the number of students, namely a distinctive vision and mission, the establishment of programs based on community needs, and the use of online media in the study of the Kitab Kuning.

One of the eight wastes that Lean production, inspired by the Toyota Production System, proposes to study is the underutilization of workers, that is, the inadequate use of their intelligence. The sense is to provide listening and participation in improvement projects, of professionals who have experience in daily life and, in many cases, consistent academic qualifications.  The objective of this work is to study the importance of the participation of teachers and employees of a basic education school in the construction of new routines and work methods, in the context of the Lean management philosophy, justified by the scarcity of scientific literature on the subject. Brazil has about 184,000 basic education schools with one million four hundred thousand teachers working from kindergarten to the ninth grade of elementary school, and of these, 83.2% have a college degree, a percentage that grows every year. About the schools, 21.7% are private, 61.3% municipal, 16.6% state, and 0.4% are federal schools. As a research methodology, a systematic review of the literature was adopted, based on the PRISMA protocol, allowing the identification of 53 records, 14 of which were included in the literature review, due to their adherence to the researched subject. The main contribution of this paper is the identification of a research gap involving the underutilization of workers and adoption of the Lean management philosophy in the education sector, as well as a conceptual proposal of the positive impact on the educational organization results by not underutilizing workers, without wasting their intelligence.

Several colleges and universities in the Middle East have been undertaking significant initiatives to forge and foster corporate entrepreneurship. The viability and success of those initiatives rest upon the input of faculty, possessing to various degrees an entrepreneurial orientation that revolves around innovativeness, risk-taking, and proactivity. This study investigates the extent to which individual-level factors moderate the influence of faculty entrepreneurial behavior on the entrepreneurial orientation of higher education institutions in Kuwait. These factors include gender, academic qualifications, teaching experience, school affiliation, scientific productivity, industrial experience, and professional certification. Data were collected using questionnaires filled by 291 faculty members, and the model was analyzed using structural equation modelling. The differences for each faculty characteristic in the structural path coefficients were tested using the Z-score statistics. The eight hypotheses that were partially validated as the most notable findings indicate that entrepreneurial orientation among male or business faculty has a greater impact on their institutions’ organizational, entrepreneurial orientation. In contrast, the differences for the rest of the moderating characteristics were insignificant. The originality of this study pertains to the fact that the scope of faculty intrapreneurship does not seem to be strongly affected by any individual-level characteristic.

In this paper we explore which kind of knowledge and skills developed by anthropology students through higher education are applied in the Greek labour market and how they are received by different professional sectors, such as central and local administration, private companies or NGOs. We also examine how professional rights of social anthropologists are being established, creating academic qualifications, lobbies and competitive relations among anthropology and other relevant disciplines. Furthermore, we illustrate the birth and establishment of practicing anthropology in Greece as it is being practiced in civil society institutions, local and international governmental and non-governmental organizations, especially since a proportionally big number of anthropologists are being employed in this field due to the recent European refugee crisis and the state of emergency that it brought to Greece and Europe. Through our analysis we wish to show that during the last three decades anthropology is gradually becoming socially and politically relevant in Greece. This process has started with the integration of the country in the core of European Union institutions and through the coexistence with diverse populations of migrant origins. The popularity of anthropology has been accelerated by the economic and refugee crisis of the last decade that multiplied the numbers of anthropologists working in the humanitarian sector. The discipline seems thus to come of age, with academic teaching and practicing anthropology being increasingly intertwined.

Prior research has shown that while women have entered the legal profession in increasing numbers, the profession continues to privilege the norms, beliefs, and cultural practices of men. However, one aspect of the legal profession that has largely been overlooked, especially in Australia, is legal academia. This oversight is significant as legal academia provides the gateway into the legal profession. Women now make up approximately half of universities’ academic staff, are increasingly completing doctorate qualifications, and are moving into senior positions within academia. On the surface, these changes may suggest that women are now fully integrated into academia and that the academic gender gap has now resolved. We argue, however, that numerical inclusion does not necessarily challenge the male normative structures that underlie legal academia. This article draws on analysis of the biographies of seven hundred legal academics in Australian law schools and investigates differences between male and female legal academics in terms of level of appointment, academic qualifications and professional experience, research productivity, research interests, and mobility. It shows that while the gender gap has closed in some areas, the feminization of legal academia is a myth and female academics continue to face gendered barriers.

Education is important for development in all fields in Indonesia. Whether or not the quality of education will determine the human resources produced. In the world of education, teachers play an important role, meaning that the quality of this nation's education is indirectly determined by the quality of educators or teachers. Based on the Unesco agency, Indonesia is one of the countries that has a low quality of education. The quality or low level of teacher professionalism will have an impact on low-performance results. Low teacher performance will affect the quality of students and the quality of education produced. The teacher's performance includes lesson planning, learning implementation, and learning assessment. In this study, the professionalism of teachers can be influenced by several factors, including the level of academic qualifications, certification, and teacher competence. If these three things can be fulfilled by a teacher, it is expected that the teacher has high professionalism to carry out his duties professionally so that it has an impact on better performance.

This article focuses on the changes in opera attendance based on representative population surveys in the German cities of Hannover and Nurnberg from the 1970s onwards. It can be demonstrated that the relationship between age and opera attendance has reversed over time: whereas in the 1970s attendance decreased with increasing age, it nowadays increases with increasing age. The reversal is the result of a decrease in opera attendance on the part of younger audiences and an increase on the part of older audiences. Due to the latter development the increase of the average age of opera audiences has been greater than one would have expected on the basis of the decline in the younger generation alone, and it is also greater than the increase in average age of the general population. At the same time, there are indications that people with higher academic qualifications (Abitur and university degrees) have become less likely to attend opera than in the 1970s. These trends are not characteristic of opera attendance alone. Similar processes have occurred in other areas of participation in "high" culture, such as theater and museums. Changes in musical preferences can only partially explain the reversal of opera attendance. The changes observed in Hannover and Nurnberg reflect a general reversal in age relationship that has affected (high-) cultural life in Germany as a whole.
