Abstract The territory of the Posavje Folds offers many geotourism potentials reflecting in particular in rich mining heritage. For a long time, local communities have considered them mainly in the context of local problems, but nowadays we may see individual examples of successful revitalization of cave chambers and mining structures. All that has given rise to fantastic stories about the mining wealth of the underground world and the mining heritage interpreted with modern approaches and new findings. In addition to managers and heritage owners, the revitalization process also includes scientists, artists, architects and educators who, each in their own way, contribute to a holistic perspective of the values of the past in light of contemporary understanding of this type of heritage. As a result, the territory has witnessed the revitalization of the medieval lead and silver mine Padež pri Laškem, the former Laško coal mine machine room, which was transformed into the Strojnica Gallery, and the polymineral mine Sitarjevec within the last five years. All mentioned examples are cases of abandoned mining activities with long-lasting mining tradition, which left an imprint in the area in terms of the diverse social structure of the population and in terms of town development, which also allows us to evaluate from a distance the contribution to the construction of the railway between Vienna and Trieste, which put these towns on the European map of centres of industrial significance in the mid-19th century. Trains that still connect the Austrian capital with the Adriatic coast may in future, in light of sustainable green tourism, attract curious guests to stop and linger a while, which is the ultimate goal of the attempts of local communities to revitalise mining heritage. Meanwhile, the goals set can only be realised with the help of new and attractive tourist products that reflect own creativity related with tradition ranging from design ideas, music events, art installations, popular science evenings; in short, with contents that are suited to visitors of all ages.

‘Green tourism’ is defined as tourism that enhances local cultural elements, which are operating under the control of local communities, providing employment and maintaining economic benefits within the local communities. In fact, many times the above definition is poorly utilized, since there are times when the economic benefits dim from local communities. Tourism industry uses the term as a message to tourists on energy saving, avoiding coastal pollution and so on. Sometimes, the same tourist businesses are accused of using the term or labelling ‘green’ primarily for marketing purposes. Although it is a fact that tourism industry is starting to respond to the changing values of tourists regarding environmental issues, however, the purpose of this research is to infer if there is a future for sustainable tourism development concerning the enterprises that provide sport tourism in Greece.

Methods. The authors used the methods of dialectical and formal logic in the article for study the essence of the institutional and organizational environment of tourism development in territorial communities; benchmarking method for determining the effectiveness of implemented reforms in the formation of local self-government; statistical methods for data visualization and organization; structural methods for assessing the existing processes of development of the tourism sector and identifying their main problems. Results. The article examines the legal environment for the development of tourism and recreation in local communities. The normative-legal acts which have a direct and indirect relation to the researched problem are allocated. In the context of the studied territorial communities, the main problems of tourism and recreation development are grouped based on a survey of domestic and foreign tourists. The reasons for the unsuccessful implementation of public-private partnership projects in the field of tourism and recreation in territorial communities are stipulated. The process and experience of organizing tourist activities in communities on a cluster basis, in particular those that have been operating in the market for a long time and those that have just begun to form, are studied. Their features and prospects for development are defined. Typical examples include clusters with a long history of operation, as well as recently formed ones. Based on the analysis of the development and functioning of tourism clusters in Ukraine, the main directions of development of this area in territorial communities are proposed.

For a long time, due to a lack of episcopal supervision, puritans such as William Brewster were able to implement practices they favored in their local communities. In Scrooby, Brewster and fellow puritans met in what was called a conventicle, where they prayed together, discussed the meaning of sermons they had heard and of the scripture, and shared their religious experiences. When the church authorities began to crack down on conventicles and ceremonial nonconformity, puritans faced the choice of obeying the authorities and working to reform the church from within, or separating and setting up their own, illegal, churches. Brewster and those gathered around him chose the latter course and bound themselves together by covenant as a new congregation. Joining them were the clergymen Richard Clifton and John Robinson, who had been deprived of their church posts.

A phenomenon that has been felt for a long time, but which has recently become widely known, captured the attention of the science and of the media with the new term “overtourism”, leading current studies to a timely conceptualization. The present study tends to conceptualizes the overtourism phenomenon particularly through the analysis of existing literature, both academic and from media, with particular attention to its multidisciplinarity. The findings suggest that the manifestation of overtourism is determined by excessive promotion of same branded destinations, the low cost of transport, the cruises with pre-arranged and fixed stops, and the short-term rental accommodation system. The overtourism affects the quality of life of local communities, it contributes significantly to the alteration of the cultural heritage and to the loss of the destination’s identity, it affects also the natural environment by waste and by the resources taken, and finally it can contributes to the decline of famous tourist destinations.

The research area is located in the territory of Khatanbulag soum, Dornogovi province, in the Great Govi Province (coordinates: 108°25'39.04"E and 43°10'11.43"N). Here, the authors studied the composition of sediments that had previously been classified as Lower Cretaceous Khukhteeg Formation, forming Mt. Ergel-Khaliv during earlier mapping work. The authors revealed fossils of faunas and floras, processing some data of biostratigraphic survey works taken on fossil-bearing sediments of the area. The fieldwork was conducted in April 2019 by researchers from the Institute of Paleontology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences. The area is very rich in fossils of mollusca, therefore, the local communities named it Dun-Ovoo (Conch hill). During the previous studies, the sediments outcropping around the Ergel-Khaliv were classified as Khukhteeg Formation (K1ht, Aptian-Albian) based on lithological characteristics and comparing them to the type section of the Khukhteeg Formation sediments. Our research revealed biostratigraphic basements and recorded previous data of collected fossils two types of mollusca; we have studied plant fossils, turtles, ostracods, fish and dinosaur bones had been revealed at first in that area. The results of the research work, the fossils that found in the mountain, were amended by more and new types and families of fauna and flora and their constituents. These new findings were helpful in the precise determination of the age of the sediments and provided some information on the paleoenvironmental conditions of the sedimentation period.

The article deals with the process of transformation of the old handwritten tradition of describing Paskhaliya into a printed one. Understanding the calculations of the day of Easter was important for the daily life of the population of Ancient Rus, and therefore Old Russian writers paid attention to describing the rules of Easter calculations. For a long time, these descriptions took the form of handwritten manuscripts. After the reforms of Peter the Great in Russia, works of this genre began to take the form of printed editions. The authors aim to consider the features of the transformation of the handwritten manuscripts into modern books. As part of study, it has been found that the descriptions of Paskhaliya, published in the typographic way first, tried to repeat the handwritten samples, but then began to turn into popular descriptions of the rules for calculating Easter. Moreover, the authors of these writings looked to the development of new ways of calculating the dates of the Easter celebration. It has been linked to the fact that after the authors-priests (18th century), secular writers (journalists, officials, officers, etc.) joined the genre of describing Paskhaliya in the first half of the 19th century. The way of transformation of Paskhalistics into an entertaining genre of popular-science literature became likely, but in the second half of the 19th century the representatives of academic science restored the scientific status of this field of knowledge. At present, the achievements of the science of Paskhaliya have become an important element in the study of the chronology of ancient Russian history. In modern science, studying the history of timekeeping, Paskhalistics became one of the necessary elements for studying the chronology of ancient Russian history. It can be recognized that the printed editions of Paskhaliya played an important role in the development of modern chronological science.

The article discusses the surnames of the Ilek Cossacks — one of the local communities in the Ural Cossack Host. Nowadays, all the surviving settlements of the Ilek Cossacks are located in the southwest of the Orenburg Region, Russia. This community was shaped as a result of the formation of the Ilek fortress in 1737. Therefore, the “age” of the local group of Cossack surnames is not older than this fortress. For a long time, Ilek Cossacks rarely joined other local groups of the Ural Cossack Host. Cossacks from other stanitsas also rarely moved to the villages on the Ilek. This could have contributed to the emergence of a rather peculiar set of local surnames within the Ural Cossack Host. Until now, the surnames of Ilek Cossacks have not become a specific object of study in onomastics or related disciplines, and this paper aims to bridge this gap. Based on eight archival sources for this group of Cossacks, the author made up a list of just over 600 surnames and their variants with further classification. This list allows to solve problems of theoretical and practical nature: to analyze the evolution of the surnames from census to census and to reveal dialectal features in the surnames; to compare this list to the surnames of other communities of Ural Cossacks and various groups of the Russian people. It also lays the groundwork for a future dictionary of surnames of Ilek Cossacks. The most difficult task is the distinction, in the censuses of 1773 and 1817, between surnames and semi-patronymics formed from the full forms of church names. As a solution, the author proposes a method for determining the status of the second elements of anthroponyms such as Ivan Anufriev, Mikhail Avtonomov, Stepan Vasiliev in the books of these censuses.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many specialists doctors found themselves in a situation that they had not faced for a long time: treating patients out of their subarea of expertise. The possibilities of teaching and learning through the modalities of webinars brought to these days the urgent necessity for teamwork and interdisciplinary approach, taking advantage of different areas of expertise to the same patient. With the amount of papers published and the speed at which data are accessed, and analyzed it is impossible to be aware of new findings in all medical areas. The lesson that the COVID-19 pandemic brought to us was the urgent need for the interdisciplinary approach to treating better our patients, and not only each disease they present with. We must review our traditional approach to medical students, residents, colleagues, and patients in which we became stuck to distance and time obstacles. We must use the technology on our behalf to offer the best treatment and follow-up for patients. We live now in the Medicine 4.0 era. As Darwin a long time ago proved: we must evolve!

Geotourist evaluation of thirteen small geological, geomorphological and mining heritage objects was carried out in a small v alley of the Upper Łagowica River and in its surroundings (Holy Cross Mountains, Poland). The point grading method was used, which is functional in the case of evaluation of small geotourist objects. It was shown that the analysed objects are characterized by high and medi um geotourist attractiveness. When analysed together, they strengthen their own individual values. They are suited to mark out geotourist trails ( geotrail), and additionally become a source of information about spatial changes of geodiversity. They also determine the uniqueness of this type of small river valleys of the Holy Cross Mountains on a regional and supra-regional scale. The evaluation of these objects and the proposal of a geotourist trail in the Upper Łagowica River valley may contribute to the activation of local communities and government authorities in the promotion of geoeducation and geotourism, draw their attention to the need for preservation and protection of the geodiversity of small va lleys of the Holy Cross Mountains, and, what is especially important, may give information about the investment attractiveness of the area.
