O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar práticas pedagógicas desenvolvidas aliando pesquisa ensino para facilitar a leitura e a compreensão de conteúdos geográficos na educação básica.ABSTRACTThe cultural approach that seeks to explore the spatial dimension of culture in geographic science and, consequently, in the teaching of geography, has been revealed as a relevant and revealing possibility of new understandings about the analysis of geographic space, especially, when allied to research projects. We verified, in the schools of basic education, the absence of methodologies that link teaching to research and, in addition, the predominance of teaching based on the repetition of contents. This, in addition to making teaching unattractive to the student, compromises the development of his critical sense. Faced with this portrait, it is necessary to integrate the contents of the disciplines into practical situations that pose problems and enable students to experience situations with the help of theory. This means inserting the practice, over the years in basic education, as a direct reference to enable the student to contrast his studies and to form his own knowledge and convictions. The purpose of this article is to present pedagogical practices developed combining teaching research to facilitate the reading and understanding of geographic contents in basic education. Keywords: Cultural Geography; Pedagogical practices; Geography Teaching.

Based on the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais: Geografia (PCN’s) of 1998, we developed a lesson plan proposal with the use of the Rio 2 Film, in light of the understanding of geographic elements present in the fourth cycle of elementary education, specifically the ninth year. The proposal of the lesson plan is based mainly on the writings of Dollfus (1972), Santos (2014), Claval (2014), Costa (2013), Castrogiovanni (2007), Chaui (2000), Santos et al (2011) and Tuan (2012). The methodological proposal is a critique of the traditional pedagogical practices, known as mnemonics, that aim to memorize contents, and do not contextualize with the environment in which the students are inserted. The film Rio 2 is a production of Blue Sky, directed by the Brazilian Carlos Saldanha, and its genre perpasses adventure, comedy and animation. In this way, it presents itself as an excellent medium for the geographical discussion of the concepts: landscape, natural landscape, cultural landscape, geographic space, territory and society and nature. For teachers of piano pedagogy, this book provides tools to transform college piano students into professional piano teachers. It is not simply a book about teaching piano—instead, it is a book about how piano students learn to teach. It helps teachers develop pedagogy course curricula, design and facilitate practicum-teaching experiences, and guide research projects in piano pedagogy. After an introduction to the history of the domain, to its related topics, and to course materials, the book gives unique perspectives on how pedagogy teachers can introduce students to course concepts and then how to help them put those concepts into practice. To facilitate easy integration into the curriculum, it provides example classroom exercises and assignments throughout the text, which are designed to help students understand and practice the related topics and skills.

Purpose Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, including contact restrictions and the switch to virtual classes, loneliness has become a pressing concern for college students and their learning. This study aims to interrogate current discussions about college student loneliness through the lens of Black feminist love-politics to reimagine online pedagogical practices. Design/methodology/approach Using a broad literature base and anecdotes from personal teaching experiences, the authors contend that Black Feminist perspectives on love, care and solidarity can illuminate the sociopolitical dimensions of loneliness in pedagogically productive ways. Findings The authors explore various pedagogical practices that are inspired by Black feminist approaches that aim to promote solidarity, love and care in either virtual or in-person classrooms. These pedagogical suggestions result from the authors’ teaching experiences amid online learning and current literature in education. Practical implications The authors seek to support educators’ understanding of the most pervasive yet misunderstood emotional experiences of student learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper explores strategies for addressing feelings of loneliness within online learning-related contexts in higher education. This discussion will be particularly relevant for educators and students from historically marginalized populations. Originality/value This work focuses on the plight of community college students, a demographic that has not garnered enough attention in the educational research concerning this pandemic. In addition, this paper offers an account of loneliness that aligns with the political and ideological crisis of today and places it in conversation with Black feminist thought.

Abstract: In Brazil, the LDB - Law of Guidelines and Bases nº. 9394(Brazil, 1996) and the PCN - National Curricular Parameters, determines that the Geography discipline is recognized as autonomous and should not be understood as a complement to other disciplines. In this way, the improvement in Geography teaching passes through cartographic literacy. The focus is on offering the student the capacity to carry out the appropriation, analysis, reflection and criticism on geographical space. In this way, this paper presents a resource that consisted of the development of the application called MapVoice. The purpose of the software is to enable Blind or visually impaired students, from basic education, in the learning of Cartography in Geography classes. MapVoice provides the understanding and interpretation of physical environments transformed into thematic maps based on data from the 2010 Brazilian Demographic Census executed by IBGE. The software used sound and image resources developed for Windows environment. The research concludes that it is necessary to prepare the infrastructure of the schools for the reception of these students, but mainly the continuing training of teachers and teaching assistants. Mapvoice was tested at the Institute of the Blind for validation, achieving a satisfactory result and making enthusiasm for the development of new researches.

This paper presents and discusses the activity "Pill of science: the knowledge is in the air!" developed under the Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching Scholarship (PIBID/CAPES), at a public school in Uberaba, Brazil, in partnership with the PIBID-Physics-UFTM group, with an emphasis on their contributions to the training of those involved, undergraduates in Physics. The objective of the activity developed was to promote a dynamic that would allow, on the one hand, to listen to the concerns and questions of Basic Education students in the face of their doubts regarding scientific knowledge and, on the other hand, to provide new experiences in the classroom by teachers in training. To this end, Basic Education students deposited questions (here called "pills") about topics related to the Natural Sciences in a box of doubts, for later socialization in the classroom with the undergraduates in Physics. We show that listening and discussing students' perceptions of their view of scientific knowledge is a promising way to awaken their interest in science, being the first steps towards scientific literacy, in addition to being a strategy to sensitize future teachers to consider these approaches in their future pedagogical practices. The present study is the result of an investigation carried out for eight months, from March to October 2006, comprises Grade 1 classes at the São Paulo Public Education System, Brazil. Forty teacher students performing literacy activities during their pre-service activities simultaneously conducted this action research in 40 Grade 1. Six-year-old children were moved from preschool education to elementary schools since 2006 in order to respect the legal determinations defined by the Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (Brasil, 1996), which expanded basic education from 8 to 9 years. Such democratic governmental action, however, has raised issues concerning the way very young children are taught in a typically school-like context. From this perspective, our study enables us to raise sociocultural problems regarding the non-inclusive pedagogical practices in use. Results show non-inclusive pedagogical practices, as well some paths to change this educational setting.
