Fulfilling of the Right to Education is a part of Human Rights. The right to education has become important in line with government policies to work from home during the Covid 19 pandemic. During the Covid-19 pandemic the learning process uses two learning methods, namely the online method and the offline method. Two learning methods are used for learning but the process has not been implemented optimally by both teachers and students, there are always obstacles faced. The purpose of this study was to determine and study the fulfillment of the right to basic education during the Covid 19 pandemic. The authors conducted research at the Department of Education and Culture of Elementary Schools and Junior High Schools in Ambon City using empirical research methods, data collection techniques through interviews and observations to students. Based on the results of the research conducted, the authors found that the distance learning system in schools in Ambon City was not optimal due to facilities and infrastructure and mastery of technology. which is still low. Fulfilling the right to education requires the involvement of all parties, namely the government, educators, students and parents to work together in the teaching and learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The government, educators, students and educational administering institutions at a practical level must strive to develop learning methods with good digital literacy skills so that they need to be improved through trainings using media for online learning for both educators, students and parents

Various teaching methods and approaches have been researched and used in nonformal education, but the abstract technique of songs and music is uncommon. The peculiar characteristics of adult learners make teaching and learning to be complex. This study is experimental. Seventy-six (76) adult learners were purposefully selected and divided into two groups of thirty-eight (38) each. Group A was exposed to songs in both Nupe and English language over a period of time. Observation and narrative methods were used to study the effect of songs and music as a tool for the facilitating of learning among adults’ learners. The facilitators encouraged the learners to identify new words which were written separately on boards to spell and pronounce. Learners in Group B were exposed to the normal learning process of using primers to facilitate learning. At the end of one month, both groups were examined and evaluated. Data were analyzed using percentage. The results of the experiment showed that the learners in Group A exhibited more than 80.0% of success in assimilation as against Group B with 38% success when both were examined. 31 out of the 38 (81.5%) learners from Group A can identify and read fairly with little assistance while 14 learners from Group B (36.8%) can read in relation to music played and identification of words identified and written on board by the facilitator. Group A members were more enthusiastic to learn as they were involved in generating means of learning; they were able to identify words and produce sentences from the words written on the board. The study also showed that songs and music produce a psychotherapeutic effect that soothes the learning process and produce a positive outcome while teaching adult learners. The paper recommends the inclusion of local songs and music into the non-formal education curriculum. Also, facilitators should be more creative in the teaching and learning process of adult education.

The drive to improve basic education delivery in Nigeria has been given tremendous impetus in recent years. The goal of basic education can only be realised through provision of inclusive, equitable and quality education; several indicators have shown that authorities jettison quality to focus in increasing access. This paper, therefore, reviews the provision and delivery of basic education in Kano state. Specifically, the paper revealed how increasing enrolment in affects the efforts to improve the quality of education in the state. While the government initiatives made significant differences by increasing access to education of children who would have been denied schooling, quality indicators which include teachers-pupil ratio, students’ academic achievement, attrition and completion rates have stagnated at best or dropped. Efforts to ensure and maintain quality education in the state are reported to face serious challenges, including mainly inadequate funding that will ensure provision of essential teaching and learning facilities and insufficient trained and competent teachers. Finally, the paper recommends among others that, adequate funding and ensuring judicious management of the funds, competent teachers should be engaged and their welfare be adequately improved, as well as the supply and maintenances of teaching and learning facilities. Sincerity in the implementations of these and other recommendations would positively affect the over 3.5 million children in basic education, encouraging further enrolment and improving the quality of education they receive. Despite the recent enactment of the Zimbabwean Constitution which provides for the right to basic education, complaints, reminiscent of a failed basic education system, have marred the education system in Zimbabwe. Notwithstanding glaring violations of the right to basic education by the government, no person has taken the government to court for failure to comply with its section 75(1)(a) constitutional obligations, and neither has the government conceded any failures or wrongdoings. Two ultimate questions arise: Does the state know what compliance with section 75(1)(a) entails? And do the citizens know the scope and content of their rights as provided for by section 75(1)(a) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe? Whilst it is progressive that the Education Act of Zimbabwe as amended in 2020 has addressed some aspects relating to section 75(1)(a) of the Constitution, it has still not provided an international law compliant scope and content of the right to basic education neither have any clarifications been provided by the courts. Using an international law approach, this article suggests what the scope and content of section 75(1)(a) might be.

The spread of the Corona virus has had a significant impact on the world of education. The policy taken by many countries, including Indonesia, is to close all educational activities. This makes the government and related institutions have to present an alternative learning process. Many factors affect student learning outcomes coupled with changes in learning conditions due to the Corona virus (Covid-19) outbreak. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the impacts and constraints of the Covid-19 outbreak on teaching and learning activities, especially in Geography subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Sikur. Data collection was carried out using the pretest - posttest method of students' abilities before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out by quantitative methods using paired sample t-test to test the difference in the effect of the two treatments on the interrelated sample groups. The results of the analysis indicate that there is a difference in the average Geography learning outcomes of 11th grade of social science students before and after the outbreak of the corona virus. Information was obtained that the average value of student learning outcomes during the face-to-face learning process was 86.27, better than the average value when the learning process was carried out online which was 75.73. The presence of a school in the village is a sign of the concrete presence of the State to fulfill the basic rights of the community in the field of education. Remembering that schools always assume interaction with other elements of society such as parents, students, religious institutions and village governments, their presence also demands responsibility and involvement of all parties at the grassroots in synergic cooperation. Only through quality cooperation involving all parties, an educational institution can become the backbone of a society's progress. Quality cooperation can be evaluated by looking at how the community responds to the concrete problems they face in the field. One of the fundamental problems commonly found in remote areas of Indonesia is the low access to basic education services. By recognizing and identifying problems that occur in their own environment, people are encouraged to recognize violations of their basic rights. In turn, the people themselves are encouraged to collect their rights to the Government and at the same time are aware of being actively involved in development.
