Changes in the scientific discourse regarding the definition of the concept of “immersive journalism” are considered and the main stages of the critical understanding of the phenomenon are identified. The role of the technological factor as a concept-forming element of VR-communication is studied. 360 ° videos, published on the official YouTube channels of the 1 + 1 television company and Radio Liberty Ukraine in 2015-2019, were studied using the Witmer-Singer methodology. The four groups of factors were identified that ensure the presence in a virtual environment. Several video formats were analyzed: news stories, social advertising, special projects, video broadcasts, multimedia projects, among which there is both event and author’s content. It was determined that factors constantly affect each other, influencing also the main components of the VR effect – presence, involvement and immersion. Videos claiming maximum efficiency should rely on sensory and distraction factors, since the immersive complex “presence + involvement + inclusion” depends on them. In the analyzed texts, the hierarchy of factors is as follows: in the first place are the distraction factors (which makes sense), but the second place is taken by the realism factors despite the format of the text. It is emphasized that realism should come to the fore, if immersive technologies are used in creating news stories and the user is not able to control the composition. In this case, the presence is formed through the immersion in the story. Author’s journalistic texts are created using the methods that allow users to influence the course of the story, propose their own chronotope and create different levels of emotional immersion through, for example, maximum involvement. World practice proves the effectiveness of this principle, but Ukrainian journalists do not use it. Sensory and control factors are usually overlooked, the attention is usually paid to the sensory modality and the anticipation of an action, which are integral elements of journalistic videos.

The article examines the main components of the work of Boris Martos “Theory of Cooperation” and compares the results of research with the current state of development of the cooperative movement. The main attention was focused on the main material of the study on: the general foundations of the formation of cooperatives, the need, purpose and role of capital in their activities; basic features and principles of functioning of cooperatives; mechanism for meeting the needs of members of the cooperative; some secondary or derivative features of the cooperative. According to B. Martos, “Cooperation is one of the ways to improve the welfare of the lower strata of society by freeing them from exploitation by the capitalists. Almost every theorist of cooperation gives his more or less accurate definition of this concept. However, in order to give an accurate scientific definition of this phenomenon in society, we must first establish the basic features that characterize the cooperative, distinguishing it from other social phenomena. This spatial quote from the work of B. Martos permeates all components of his economic work, the essence and content of which was at the center of our research. Each statement and statement of B. Martos was compared with the current realities of the cooperative movement and on the basis of which it was proposed to use the work of a scientist to improve the efficiency of cooperative relations in modern economic conditions.

Taking into consideration the fact that editing is considered to be a field of scientific knowledge, a sphere of practical activity, and a discipline, problems of terminology appear. The aim of the research is to reveal definitions and statements that tend to take the role of terms and contain conflicting statements obstructing the scientific comprehension of terms. The research focuses on the comparison of different definitions of the term “editing” and of its types given by Russian and foreign theorists and practitioners, as well as on the analysis of new terms introduced into scientific discourse. The author touches upon various definitions of the concept of editing, considers its types as well as differences between the notions of editing and literary editing, compares the interpretations of these concepts in Russian, British, and American (editing, copyediting), Ukrainian and Polish scientific discourses, offers his vision of the problems. Textbooks and reference books do not always provide proper differences between the two main components of editorial activity—editorial analysis (evaluation) and editing. There are significant developments of Russian researchers in the direction of the history of editing ahead of the Western research. One can state that Russia has a school of editing history, and university researchers make a great contribution to its development. The author suggests adhering to the established traditions in the interpretation of editing and using it in journalism in the same sense as in book publishing, since initially it was the publishing of books that caused the need in editing as a professional activity. The result of the research demonstrates that it is impossible to refer editing as a sphere of scientific knowledge only to book publishing or philology. The author proposes his own definition of editing, tries to optimize the number of types of editing (particularly, duplication of the notions “editing” and “literary editing”, “editing” and “copyediting” is stated), and introduces a terminological combination “history of editing” into scientific discourse. The author proves that the replacement of the concepts “editing” and “editorial analysis” with such notions as “text activity” and “criticism of speech”, respectively, is not justified in scientific terms.

Abstract Background Distinguishing asthma from COPD can be difficult especially among old age and smokers. Some patients have common features of asthma and COPD.1 (GINA, 2018). Hence, the definition of asthma COPD overlap (ACO) was developed. ACO is a considerable risk factor for healthcare utilization versus the general population, the asthma population and the COPD population.2(Minchul Kim et al., 2019). Fungal sensitization increase severity of asthma. Aim of the study To compare the prevalence of aspergillus fumigatus sensitization among ACO patients versus asthmatic patients and healthy normal control. Patients and Methods 90 individuals were included; 30 diagnosed as bronchial asthma (According to GINA 2018), 30 ACO patients and 30 healthy normal control. All are group matched to age and sex and selected from the allergy and chest outpatient clinics at Ain shams University hospitals. Total IgE, skin test for Aspergillus and spirometry were done to all participants. Results Aspergillus sensitization was more prevalent among ACO group compared to asthma group however, all control individuals were negative to aspergillus. FEV1 was significantly lower among ACO and asthma groups when compared to control. FEV1 increased significantly in the three groups after albuterol inhalation. Conclusion sensitization to Aspergillus was more among ACO patients compared to Asthma and control groups.

As an advanced machining technology, virtual manufacturing has been regarded as an useful tool to carry out analysis and research work with digital model instead of practical manufacture. For the virtual manufacturing process, it is a mapping of the practical machining in computer virtual environment, no real production is created and without material or power wasting. Several typical definition of virtual manufacturing dominate in this fields were listed out, based on which expressed an explicit interpretation. Main features and three type of virtual manufacturing, such as design-centered, machine-centered and control centered virtual manufacturing were analysed respectively. The virtual manufacturing system, supported by cutter tool magazine, pallet storage, production database, material storage and NC storage, have been demonstrated in an architecture figure. Finally, the author concluded the important role of virtual manufacturing and illustrated an example of applying virtual manufacturing in five-axis machining process.

This article explores the growth and development of Industrial Schools following independence in Ireland with a particular focus on children within the family setting and how these institutions influenced child welfare policy in Ireland. Twenty-five unstructured interviews were conducted with male and female former Industrial School ‘inmates’. This article focuses on the research gathered from these, with a particular emphasis placed on the data that emerged relating to their background and this is further supplemented by that collected in the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse (CICA) Report (2009). This article draws on a Foucauldian perspective in order to understand how institutions regulated the lives of Irish people (in this case children and their families), through the definition of what is ‘normal’ and identifying who is seen to deviate from this.

Methods for estimating wood chip brightness are important in classifying wood chips in chip piles, stabilizing chip brightness in the pulping process, and reducing bleaching chemical consumption in pulp mills. They also allow us to understand and control factors including outdoor storage in the summer that affect chip and pulp brightness. An accurate off-line method for estimating wood chip brightness has been developed. The method involves a two-stage grinding of air-dried wood chips to powders with small particle sizes and narrow size distributions and measurement of ISO (International Standardization Organization) brightness of the resulting powders. Using this method, ISO brightness values of 20 mill or pilot-plant thermomechanical pulps (TMP) can be linearly correlated, with an r2 value of 0.885, with ISO brightness of the mill or pilot-plant wood chips. Analyses of wood chips and TMP samples taken from a TMP mill every month for 1 year show that both the chip and TMP brightness values are the lowest in July. The method can be used for laboratory analysis of chip brightness, monitoring of chip brightness monthly variation in pulp mills, and checking the accuracy of the on-line chip brightness measurement system.
