Abstract. This research reported study about analysis minimal exchange structures and general exchange structure in English classroom interaction found in you tube, (from mujikuy channel : asking and giving information about berbasis ganre in x class). This study direct to analysis the element of minimal exchange structures and general exchanges structures in English classroom interaction find in you tube. The data is the clauses obtained from conversation among teacher and students of X grade during English classroom learning process that find in you tube from (Mujikuy channel : asking and giving information about berbasis ganre in x class). This study uses theory of Halliday (1994) by qualitative descriptive method. The result shows that there are three (3) types of act as the element of exchange structures: Initiating, Responding,and Following-Up (I-R-F). Minimal exchange structure consists of: Initiating-Responding (I-R) or Initiating-Responding-Following Up (I-R-F). General structure of exchange in classroom situation consists of: greeting, giving order, giving information, asking question, and closing. In the learning process, things do not always go well. When the learning process students sometimes do not respond to conversations or instructions given by the teacher. Therefore teachers must take initiatives such as providing information, asking questions, and giving instructions. So that the learning process becomes more efficient. This study shows that the teacher has the authority to regulate learning activities

This article reported the study about classroom communicative structure between teacher and students in English class in Public School High School 3 Mojokerto. This study aims to identify the elements of minimal exchange structure and general exchange structure in communication in classroom. This study uses minimal exchange structure theory of Strenstrom (1994) by qualitative descriptive method. Data in this study are obtained from the recording of conversation among teacher and students of XI grade in Speaking class. The result shows that there are three (3) types  of act as the element of exchange structure:  Initiating, Responding, dan Following-Up (I-R-F). Minimal exchange structure  consists of: Initiating-Responding (I-R) or Initiating-Responding-Following Up (I-R-F). General structure of exchange in classroom situation consists of: greeting, followed by any kinds of functions such as giving information, giving order, and asking question. In conversation, teacher tends to has initiative to start it, meanwhile, the students tend to give respond by doing activity (evade) which are instructed by the teacher. The students sometimes did not answer the question, therefore teacher keeps the conversation going by undergone initiative actions such as giving information, asking question or giving instruction. This study shows that teacher has power to supervise and keep going the class activity.  It is needed to do further study  on power aspect in classroom communication.

This article aims to look for learning problems faced by students of class VI MIS Handapherang-Ciamis, the teacher's efforts and the steps taken to overcome these problems. By using qualitative-descriptive method, research concludes; First, students experience difficulty in reading and writing. The problem factor comes from the parents and from the students themselves. Second, the efforts made by the class teacher at school to grade VI students who experience learning problems that is maximizing their sense of hearing by listening to the teacher when explaining the learning material, guided when the child does not understand the learning material and finally teacher guided when the child does not pay attention to the teacher explaining in learning process. Third, the teacher's stages in overcoming student learning problems starts from determining the problem to solving the problems that occur in students of class VI MIS Handapherang.

The objective of this research focuses on students perceptions toward grammar in the English classroom. This research uses the qualitative descriptive method, the procedure for collecting data uses questionnaire analysis in google forms free online questionnaire. The population is 30 students in class TEI C at SMK TI Pembangunan Cimahi. The sample is 30 students. The results of the data analysis showed that 60% of students stongly agree that grammar in the English classroom important, while the other 40% agree. In addition 96% of students admit that their need to increase English grammar. The most dominant of students perceptions grammar showed to increase skills on grammar 96% of students choose to agree on statements. The findings revealed that students perceived differently toward grammar in the English classroom.CeivedKeywords: Students Perceptions, Grammar English.

The research aimed at finding and analyzing (i) the instructional talk that teachers use in the classroom interaction, (ii) teachers’ modification of their instructional talk in phonological perspective (iii) students’ perception of instructional talk used by the teachers in classroom interaction. This research applied descriptive method  with  the total number of participants of  2 English teachers and 6 students  divided based on their grade. The instrument used for this study was classroom observation, video recording and interview. The finding indicated that (i) the first participant used 15 instructional talks and the second participant used 14 instructional talks (ii) teachers modify their talk by substitution, deletion, and addition. First participant used substitution 151 times (81%), deletion 22 times (12%), and addition 13 (7%). The second participant used substitution 30 times (83%), deletion 12 times (13%) and additional 4 (4%). (iii) Students have lower perception of teacher instructional talk which indicates students get 11 (11%) for each VII grade students and the VIII grade students get variety level percentage; 12 (21%), 15(26%) and 11 (19%) for each students. It also finds three factors that influence students’ perception; teachers’ factors, limited time and environment.         Key words: Phonological perspective, instructional talk, classroom interaction

This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques use the method of interview, observation, and documenta-tion. Data analysis is done by condensing data, then presenting data, and conclusions drawn from the data. In checking the validity of the data, researchers use methods, namely extending the time of partici-pation of researchers in the field, increasing persistence of observation, using appropriate reference materials, and reading book tests. The results of the analysis show that the process of applying the Al-Miftah Lil ‘Ulum Method at Madin Wustho Hidayatul Mubtadi’in –Malang City was carried out through several stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Among the supporting factors of the learning process and the inhibiting factors to applied it.

This study aims at analyzing features of teacher talk in teaching speaking. The subject of this study were English Teacher and 40 students at first grade of SMA Negeri 20 Medan. The data were collected through the following: observation, and audio recording. In this research, the FLINT is used to identify the categories of teacher talk occur during the learning process. Moreover, this study is conducted in the form of descriptive qualitative research where the researcher as the non-participant observer on the classroom. From the data that has been taken, it is obtained that the categories of teacher talk used by the teacher in teaching speaking in the first grader of SMA Negeri 20 Medan are deals with feeling, praises or encourages, jokes, uses ideas of students, repeats students response verbatim, ask questions, gives information, corrects without rejection, give direction, criticizes student behavior, and Criticize student response. The finding of the study showed that there are eleven features of teacher talk occur in English classroom interaction and the dominant feature of teacher talk was ask questions (40.2%). The feature of teacher talk which is dominantly used by the teacher help students more active in the class because the teacher gave the oppurtunity to the learners to deliver their ideas, and try their ability in speaking skill. Keywords : Features of Teacher Talk, Foreign Language Interaction, Learning Process

This study aims to apply innovative learning methods. New methods that are expected to provide references for teachers, especially low-class teachers. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques are based on observations that cover several aspects. Observations are carried out in stages by comparing classes that apply the new method and those that do not. The data analysis technique is done by qualifying the observational data. The research results are shown based on observations by the teacher during the learning activities. There are differences when learning with the same material, but delivered by different methods. That is because the new method has several advantages, among others: children are more enthusiastic to play together, familiarize children with tolerance by not picking friends, class conditions more orderly, creating a pleasant atmosphere, and training children to work while learning in group dynamics.

This article aims to describe the barriers to student learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at MA Maarif 06 Pasir Sakti, East Lampung. The research used a qualitative descriptive method with data sources of teachers, homeroom teachers, students and parents. The result of this determination is that there are several obstacles faced by students, teachers and parents in teaching and learning activities in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era, namely the addition of internet quota costs, communication and socialization between students, teachers and parents is reduced and working hours which becomes unlimited for teachers because they have to communicate and coordinate with parents, other teachers, and principals. The positive contribution of the results of this study is the spread of information regarding the urgency of mastery of technology to support every activity carried out by humans, one of which is in the realm of education to be able to compete globally.

                                                        Abstract This article aims to describe the use of blogs as learning media to provide a variety of learning media and at the same time to make economic learning effective. The study was conducted on Class XI students of SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta, it’s during the economic learning process. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method through several data collection techniques, there are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the blog has been used well as one of the media of economic learning in class XI students of SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta. The use of blogs is one of the variations in media among other learning media that can help the effectiveness of economic learning given the availability of relevant economic material on the blog in question. Keywords: blogs, learning media, economic subjects.                                                                                                     Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan blog sebagai media pembelajaran untuk memberikan variasi media pembelajaran dan sekaligus untuk mengefektifkan pembelajaran ekonomi. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta, yakni saat proses pembelajaran ekonomi berlangsung. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui beberapa teknik pengumpulan data, yakni observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa blog telah digunakan dengan baik sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran ekonomi pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta. Penggunaan blog merupakan salah satu variasi media di antara media-media pembelajaran lain yang dapat membantu efektivitas pembelajaran ekonomi mengingat ketersediaan materi-materi ekonomi yang relevan pada blog dimaksud.  Kata Kunci: blog, media pembelajaran, mata pelajaran ekonomi.

Nowadays, moral decadence is a serious handling requires the formamation of character and dignity of the nation depended on the establisment of the man himself. The efforts can be done in the educational environment that is built the character of learners by developing an attitude of spiritual and social components used in this study. The goals of this study are to describe of spiritual and social attitudes on science learning activities on fourth grade that use KTSP and 2013 curriculum. The study was conducted with qualitative descriptive method and purposive sampling technique. Instruments used in the form of observational learning activities to analyze the emergence of the spiritual and social attitudes using videograph. Based on the results of the average total spiritual and social attitudes acquired elemtary used 2013 curriculum get bigger results. Expected from this research can serve as a basis for further research and as a motivation for teachers to be able  to  bring  up  an  spiritual  and  social  attitudes,  especially  in  science  learning.
