This study aimed to analyze the incidence of tuberculosis (TB), AIDS and tuberculosis-AIDS co-infection in the municipality of Campinas, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, in the period 2001 - 2009. A historical trend study, it uses secondary data from the Tuberculosis Surveillance Database of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and the São Paulo State STD-AIDS Center of Excellence and Training. It included new cases of TB, AIDS, and of tuberculosis-AIDS reported in the municipality of Campinas. A decrease in cases of TB until 2007 was observed, with an increase in 2008 and 2009. There was a general reduction in AIDS from 2007, but with an increase among men aged 60 or over, in the years 2007 to 2009. For tuberculosis-AIDS co-infection, the tendency was to reduce. The proportion of HIV tests not undertaken, among patients with tuberculosis, was high (27.5%). This scenario shows the need for integration of the databanks into the planning and control activities.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the spatial distribution of Tuberculosis cases with Mental Disorders, identifying factors that determine its occurrence. Method: Ecological study, conducted in the municipalities of São Paulo State. Secondary data were used, with the incidence of Tuberculosis and Mental Disorders as dependent variables in the years 2012 to 2015 and independent variables, socioeconomic, health and income transfer data. The Geographically Weighted Regression was applied in this study. Results: It was observed a distinct distribution between cases of Tuberculosis and Mental Disorders in the municipalities of São Paulo State. Among the explanatory factors, the Primary Care Coverage, population of freedom and income inequality were spatially associated with Mental Illness (R2= 0.12); Alcoholism (R2= 0.12) Illicit Drugs (R2= 0.50) and Smoking (R2= 0.50). Conclusion / Final considerations: The study advances in knowledge by evidencing the spatial distribution of cases of Tuberculosis and Mental Disorders, evidencing the determining factors for its occurrence in São Paulo State.

ABSTRACTObjective: to kwon the understanding and identify the characteristics of a good leader from the perspective of staff and technical nursing. Method: this is about a descriptive study, from quantitative approach, carried out with 29 assistants and nursing technicians who made up the team of health during the morning of a hospital in the Vale do Paraiba, São Paulo, Brazil. For data collected was used the technique extensive direct, through questionnaire. Data were analyzed and presented in figures. The research project was approved by the Research Ethics of the University of Taubate, São Paulo state (protocol number 062/08). Results: good leader was described by 27 (93,10%) as who possesses theoretical knowledge and practical, which must cooperate and motivate team on 26 (89,65%) and 25 (86,20%) that the communication is its key feature. Conclusion: assistants and nursing technicians participating institutions believe that good leader must possess knowledge theoretical and practical to subsidize actions, but just is not enough, and other necessary skills such as: communicability, ability to listen and talk and practicality in solving conflicts. Método: estudo descritivo de abordagem quantitativa, realizado com 29 auxiliares e técnicos de enfermagem do período matutino de um Hospital do Vale do Paraíba, São Paulo. Brasil. A técnica de coleta de dados foi a direta extensiva, por meio de questionário. Os dados foram tabulados e analisados de forma descritiva. O projeto de pesquisa foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em pesquisa da Universidade de Taubaté (número de protocolo 062/08). Resultados: o bom líder foi descrito por 27 (93,10%) como aquele que possui conhecimento teórico e prático, que deve cooperar e motivar a equipe de trabalho por 26 (89,65%) e 25 (86,20%) que a comunicação é sua característica fundamental. Conclusão: auxiliares e técnicos de enfermagem da instituição participante acreditam que o bom líder precisa possuir conhecimento teórico e prático para subsidiar suas ações, porém apenas isto não basta, sendo necessárias outras habilidade tais como: comunicabilidade, capacidade de ouvir e falar e praticidade na resolução de conflitos. RESUMENObjetivo: establecer la comprensión y la identificar las características de un bien líder desde la perspectiva de los funcionarios y técnicos de enfermería. Método: estudio descriptivo enfoque cuantitativo, realizada con 29 asistentes y técnicos de enfermería que compuesto por el equipo de salud durante el mañana de un hospital en el Valle de Paraíba, São Paulo, Brasil. Técnica utilizado fue extensa directa, a través de cuestionario. Los datos fueron analisados de forma descriptiva. El proyecto de investigación fue aprobado por la Ética en Investigación de la Universidad de Taubaté (número de protocolo 062/08). Resultados: buena el líder fue descrito por 27 (93,10%) como que posee los conocimientos teóricos y prácticas, que deben cooperar y motivar a los equipo en 26 (89,65%) y 25 (86,20%) que la comunicación es su elemento clave. Conclusión: asistentes y técnicos de enfermería las instituciones participantes creen que buen líder debe poseer los conocimientos teóricos y prácticos para subsidiar acciones, pero sólo no es suficiente, y otras habilidades necesarias, tales como: capacidad de comunicación, capacidad de escuchar y hablar y el sentido práctico en la solución de los conflictos. Johanna W. Smit studied under Jean Meyriat and Jean-Claude Gardin in France, and upon becoming a professor at the Library Science and Documentation Department of the School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, introduced to it the then current developments in French Documentation, mainly those related to documentary analysis. In 1986, Professor Smit and a group of professors of USP founded TEMMA Group, a research group devoted to issues concerning document organisation and representation, which lasted for 30 years and incorporated professors of São Paulo State University. In this paper, I present to a wider public the research related to document organisation and representation that was brought about by the professors of USP from 1981, when Johanna W. Smit became a professor. I focus on the research conducted by the members of TEMMA Group, presenting key concepts developed by them, how the studies of the group still influence USP, and the reason why their developments are relevant to current document studies.

O objetivo desse artigo é verificar como ocorreu a recente expansão das universidades públicas paulistas(USP, UNESP e UNICAMP), mais especificamente, a relação entre a ampliação física, em relação ao projetode universidade preferido pelo Governo do Estado e gradualmente implantado pelas gestões reitorais, que suscitouuma suposta crise. Será utilizado o caso da Universidade de São Paulo, no período compreendido entre a promulgaçãoda Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação (1996) e a data atual. Para orientar a análise, é utilizada a propostade Boaventura de Souza Santos, que identifica a crise global da Universidade em três aspectos principais: umacrise institucional, uma de legitimidade e uma de contradição. Considera-se, ao final, que as universidades públicaspaulistas vivem essas crises e sua expansão, de caráter exclusivamente utilitarista, é parte dessas crises.Palavras-chave: Educação Superior Pública. The case of the University of São Paulo will be used, in the period between the enactment of theLaw of Guidelines and Bases of Education (1996) until the current date. To guide the analysis it will be used texts byBoaventura de Souza Santos, which identifies the global crisis of the university in three main aspects: an institutionalcrisis, a legitimacy one and a contradiction one. Neste artigo buscaremos demonstrar que as relações de exploração e dominação de trabalhadores migrantes em usinas de cana de açúcar não estão apenas nos espaços de trabalho, mas também, nos seus espaços de moradia. Descreveremos as relações de sociabilidade nos alojamentos, observando as hierarquias estabelecidas no processo de trabalho e os códigos de conduta que informam uma sabedoria própria para realizar a vida cotidiana. O artigo fundamenta-se em etnografia e entrevistas realizadas em um alojamento de trabalhadores migrantes, provenientes da região do Sertão de Cajazeiras, Estado da Paraíba, e que trabalham em usina na região de Piracicaba São Paulo.  Está estruturado em quatro partes. A primeira parte traz reflexões sobre trabalho de campo. Na segunda parte abordaremos a contratação de trabalhadores migrantes na Usina Peperoni. Na terceira, apresentaremos os alojamentos como espaços de controle da força de trabalho e por fim faremos algumas ponderações sobre os códigos de conduta para viver no espaço transitório dos “barracos”. Sociabilidades.   Housing of worker migrants in sugarcane Mills: social spaces of domination and resistence.   Abstract In this article we will try to demonstrate that the relations of domination and exploitation of migrant workers in sugar cane plants are not just in the workspaces, but also in their places of residence. Describe the relations of sociability in the housing, observing the established hierarchies in the work process and codes of conduct that inform his own wisdom to make everyday life. The article is based on ethnography and interviews in a housing of migrant workers from the region of the Cajazeiras, Paraíba State, and working in Piracicaba Sao Paulo State. It is structured in four parts. The first part reflects on the field work. In the second part will discuss the hiring of migrant workers in Peperoni Mills. In the third, we present the housing spaces and control of the labor force and finally we make some considerations about the codes of conduct to live in the transitional space of the "shacks". In this paper, the purpose is to discuss results of a continuing education action with teachers, linked to the university extension project Computational Thinking and Interdisciplinarity in the classroom, developed within the Postgraduate Program in mathematics education at Sao Paulo State University (UNESP), Rio Claro (Sao Paulo), Brazil. The development of interdisciplinary activities by teachers using Scratch software is highlighted, pointing out how this is reflected in the classroom, from the development of an interdisciplinary activity in two classes taught by the teacher of Geography, a participant of this formative action. The qualitative approach was adopted, and the methodological procedures used were video recording of the meetings, writing of field diaries, prepared by all the involved proposers, and recording of all the developed activities. Data analysis highlights how important this partnership between university and school was because it contributed to transform the knowledge of teachers, researchers, and students through the development of Computational Thinking.

Interrupted time series analyses (ITSA) were performed to measure the impact of social distancing policies (instituted 22/03/2020) and subsequent mandatory masking in the community (instituted 04/05/2020) on the incidence and effective reproductive number (Rt) of COVID-19 in São Paulo State, Brazil. Overall, the impact of social distancing both on incidence and Rt was greater than the incremental effect of mandatory masking. Those findings may reflect either a small impact of face masking or the loosening of social distancing after mandatory use of masks.
