ABSTRACT. The evolution of the lexeme ecotourism in French newspapers (electronic version) is the aim of our study. We refer to Moirand (2007, p. 4) to see what happens "in and through the media" and Patrick Charaudeau et Maingueneau (2002, p. 324) for the memory of the speech. Not only the use and social conditions are important in the appreciation, understanding and speaking, which are presented our collocations, but especially the context in which they operate. It is environmentally friendly, official (Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy) or journalistic (ecological propaganda slogan), these contexts we consider essential for a proper understanding. Our ambition is to analyse this phenomenon. The concept of ecotourism is rich in semantic traits and malleable depending on the context and media referred imposed on it. We will try to deepen these singularities in this article. Keywords: collocation, context, discourse, ecotourism, journalist, manipulation, semantic trait, discursive aim.

The coverage of natural history in British newspapers has evolved from a “Nature notes” format – usually a regular column submitted by a local amateur naturalist – to professional, larger-format, presentations by dedicated environmental correspondents. Not all such environmental correspondents, however, have natural-history expertise or even a scientific background. Yorkshire's Michael Clegg was a man who had a life-long love of nature wedded to a desire to communicate that passion. He moved from a secure position in the museum world (with a journalistic sideline) to become a freelance newspaper journalist and (subsequently) commentator on radio and television dealing with, and campaigning on, environmental issues full-time. As such, he exemplified the transition in how natural history coverage in the media evolved in the final decades of the twentieth century reflecting modern concerns about biodiversity, conservation, pollution and sustainable development.

Abstract Tracing the transformations phenomenological thought underwent in the sphere of literary studies after the 1930s, the paper outlines the epistemological potential of this tradition in regards to a proper understanding of the phenomenon ›text‹. Proceeding from reflections on the agonal relation between structuralistic and phenomenological traditions within contemporary literary theory, the article focuses on Husserl’s apprehension of texts as being »objects in procedure« by exploring the impact of this idea on the literary theories of Ingarden, Wellek, and Iser. In light of the - largely forgotten - fact that Karl Bühler’s pioneering Language Theory (1934) is mainly based on phenomenological thinking, the paper finally discusses to what extend Bühler’s idea of verbal expressions figuring as effective events could open a new space for the development of a literary theory of texts within recent debates on the »media of literature«.

Inefficient and non-environmentally friendly absorbent production can lead to much resource waste and go against low carbon and sustainable development. A novel and efficient Mg-Fe-Ce (MFC) complex metal oxide absorbent of fluoride ion (F−) removal was proposed for safe, environmentally friendly, and sustainable drinking water management. A series of optimization and preparation processes for the adsorbent and batch experiments (e.g., effects of solution pH, adsorption kinetics, adsorption isotherms, effects of coexisting anions, as well as surface properties tests) were carried out to analyze the characteristics of the adsorbent. The results indicated that optimum removal of F− occurred in a pH range of 4–5.5, and higher adsorption performances also happened under neutral pH conditions. The kinetic data under 10 and 50 mg·g−1 were found to be suitable for the pseudo-second-order adsorption rate model, and the two-site Langmuir model was ideal for adsorption isotherm data as compared to the one-site Langmuir model. According to the two-site Langmuir model, the maximum adsorption capacity calculated at pH 7.0 ± 0.2 was 204 mg·g−1. The adsorption of F− was not affected by the presence of sulfate (SO42−), nitrate (NO3−), and chloride (Cl−), which was suitable for practical applications in drinking water with high F− concentration. The MFC adsorbent has an amorphous structure, and there was an exchange reaction between OH− and F−. The novel MFC adsorbent was proven to have higher efficiency, better economy, and environmental sustainability, and be more environmentally friendly.

The article shows the way the Belarus Agricultural Library (BelAL) has been following the ideas of «green libraries»: it describes environmentally friendly practices implemented in the library over the past years; particular attention is paid to the ongoing work of the Green Office Belarus Agricultural Library (GO!BelAL); the authors outlined the prospects for the development of the library in promoting the goals of sustainable development and environmental awareness.

This study has the primary objective in planning machining practices early on through the precision of machining parameter analysis with mobile technical calculators combined with the flipped classroom. This research will compare the calculations with manual and mobile phone devices and measure the effectiveness of the media concerning the three elements of sustainable development, i.e., economic, environmental, and social. The research used posttest-control design experiment design which was divided by random sampling. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling. Data collection using performance test, observation, and questionnaire. Data analysis using independent sample test. The results show the use of mobile technical calculator with a flipped classroom is more effective in generating the accuracy of analysis than manual analysis. The t-test results state that there is a difference if this media is applied in machining practice. Also, students' perspectives on the application of these auxiliary media analyzes have an increasing impact on sustainable machinery processes concerning elements in sustainable development.

The present analysis is devoted to the discursive units that are activated at the moment by the media nomination as categoremes of the referent, Donald Trump, and shape the media narrative. These will be formulas, which appear in the headlines and imply labels, e.g. Donald Trump, agitateur en chef (‘Donald Trump, the troublemaker’; lemonde.fr, 5.10.2017). The research problem will be to determine their narrative and argumentative potential. Theoretical framework is provided by studies of the media information discourse (Arquembourg, 2011; Calabrese, 2009, 2013; Moirand, 2007; Veniard, 2013), as well as the argumentative discourse (Amossy, 2006). The corpus has been compiled on the basis of electronic version of two daily newspapers Le Monde (lemonde.fr) and Gazeta Wyborcza (wyborcza.pl), released between Jan the 1st 2016 and december 2020.
