The paper is devoted to the phenomenon of communicative culture in pedagogical science. The material for the study was the domestic dissertation research on pedagogy from 1998 to 2017, the subject of which is this phenomenon. The authors define the main theoretical constructs (communicative competence, pedagogical communication, communication culture, etc.), which allowed researchers to formulate their own definition of the phenomenon of communicative culture. It is revealed that the performances of modern domestic scientists understanding of the studied phenomena is ambiguous and depends on the specific problems of the study, in 53.1% of studies, the phenomenon of communicative culture is understood as an integral (or integrative) personal quality; 9.5% – as a component of professional activity, giving the opportunity to represent the studied phenomenon by transferring characteristics of professional activity; in 16.6 per cent as the quality of the individual, reflecting the motives and needs of communication and interaction with other people; in 20.2% – as the ability to establish a variety of social contacts, depending on the mastery of science and the art of communication, patterns and values of behavior. At the same time, related concepts (for example, communicative activity, pedagogical communication, communicative competence, culture of communication, etc.) were studied in detail. Freedom in determining the components of the structure of the phenomenon of communicative culture, we explain the artificiality of ideas about it in the mind of the researcher as a consequence of transposition (a variant of the result of generalization).

The theory of the executive activity of a personality and the ability to determine its correlates are analyzed. High efficiency executive activity is considered as a predictor of a high quality of life and professional activity of an individual. The results of the study of the individual psychological properties of the personality associated with the characteristics of performing activities are presented. A combination of properties is highlighted: irritability, sociability, extraversion, which positively affect the type of execution. They form a triad closely associated with all the properties of executive activities. Some personality properties that inhibit the development of characteristics necessary for effectiveness are identified. Aggressiveness and high emotional lability are characteristic of students with low responsibility. According to the research results, mutually exclusive properties are organization and openness. The definition of determinants and correlates of performing activities opens up opportunities for psychologists and educators to create spaces for the development of a highly effective personality. Executive activity is a system construct. Understanding its structure allows us to see its flexibility and form individual trajectories of learning and personality development.

The subject of scientific reflection is the contemplation and action as ways of the human attitude to the world, existence, substantiated and accomplished in the ontology of human life by I. S. Turgenev, thinker and artist. The presence of a “thought” and “will”, consciousness and action, knowledge and transformation is considered by the writer as a fundamental characteristic of the human way of existence, which becomes the semantic core of the philosophical and anthropological concept of the article-speech “Hamlet and Don Quixote” (1860), fundamental for the research on Turgenev's creative work at the level of historical poetics. The activity approach to the person, strengthened at the turn of the classical and non-classical stages of development of philosophical thought, — the time of formation of Turgenev’s world outlook, explains converging of the points of opposite “native types”, their transition from the ideal existence into the real one, their equally weighted opposition to the “evil and lies”. As a result, according to Turgenev's view the images of Hamlet and Don Quixote come together on the ground of “worship to the Truth” and the “idea of high merits” of the individual, in which the human “nature” and “quintessence” are objectified. Therefore, the analysis of the hamletian and don-quijotian types could be carried out by Turgenev just within the universal socio-cosmic lay of the interrelation of the opposites inherent in centripetal and centrifugal natural forces and their tendency to synthesis. The “tragic aspect of human life” engendered by the inaccessibility of such synthesis may be overcome by means of comprehension of the Truth, the “true meaning of nature”. Moreover, Turgenev’s ontological idea of the “Conciliation and absorbtion of everything existing in the other”, argued at the attitudinal and aesthetic levels, is the basis for the definition of the meaning of human life. This meaning is found in the balance between the content of all human life and the world, society, other people in the name of the “ideal”, establishment of the truth and justice. Hence, contemplation and action as forms of a morally responsible attitude to life in Turgenev’s artistic ontology are directly related to the problem of “high levels” and quality of human existence.

The presented analysis focuses on the moral dimension of the teaching profession, which encompasses the moral competence of its representatives. This dimension determines, at least to some extent, the quality of services rendered by teachers to other people as part of their professional activity. Thus, the research and analyses undertaken with regard to this area of scientific exploration are of importance for the discipline of educational research. The aim of the paper is an attempt at making an introduction to the manners of understanding the term: teacher’s moral competences. Such competences can be placed among a number of competencies a teacher should display. The article was prepared based on an analysis of the literature dealing with the subject of the research. The analysis was used to explicate the category, which, similarly to the category of competencies as such, has turned out to be defined in an ambiguous way. The researchers of the issue of teachers’ moral competences have ascribed various meanings and scope to this term, and have differed in indicating its significance and importance for the professional activity undertaken. This is conducive neither to an attempt at developing a clear definition of this term nor to defining its constituent elements more precisely. The analysis of this category implies the need for paying closer attention to teachers’ moral competences, both in the theoretical and practical contexts, and to conduct intensified research on these competences, enriching thereby the scientific achievements made so far in the field referring to the moral dimension of the work performed by the representatives of this social and professional category, i.e., teachers.

The present research featured competitive strategy aimed at achieving different goals in professional activity of employees with different intensity of perfectionism. It resulted in a definition of perfectionism based on the role of personality orientation in competitiveness, the subject content of personality orientation, and available publications on the subject content of perfectionism, its types, and their relationship. The type of perfectionism depends on personal characteristics that manifest themselves in competitive environment. Therefore, perfectionist orientation shapes completive strategy in employees. The research involved 142 employees (112 women, 30 men) aged 19–62. The procedure for identifying various types of perfectionist orientation combined the type of perfectionism, achievement motivation, and cognitive attitudes. The paper also introduces criteria for distinguishing self-oriented and socially-oriented perfectionism. The main goal of competition strategy in subjects with self-oriented perfectionism was formulated as demonstration of individual work pattern, while in subjects with sociallyoriented perfectionism it was high quality of activity. The first appeared to be fuelled by the internal motivation and dependence on others. However, criticism and disapproval can affect the desire to achieve the goal. The second was fuelled by security reasons and resulted in actions aimed at retaining the achieved advantages. Both groups hardly saw colleagues as rivals.

The article analyzes the research on the concepts of "culture" and "legal culture". The advantages of research are the integration of approaches to the definition of these concepts: "culture" is a set of all goods created by man, the development of creative forces and skills of the individual, a set of all material and spiritual values; a certain form of organization and development; legal culture - a set of spiritual and material values, all the benefits created by man, in contrast to the natural, components of social life, a certain level of development of society, etc. It is proven that legal culture is part of culture, includes spiritual and material values that belong to the sphere of the surrounding reality; it characterizes the quality of life of society, which is expressed in the level of development of legal activities, legal acts, legal awareness and in general in the level of legal development of the subject, as well as the degree of freedom of the State and civil society and human rights.

Statement of the problem. The article provides a review of international and Russian sources on communicative competence of doctors. Notable are inconsistencies between modern requirements to the quality of medical care and the real level of communicative competence among doctors, as well as difficulties experienced by doctors in communicating with patients and their relatives. The purpose of the article is to analyze features of communicative competence in surgeons and physicians. Research methodology comprises the activity approach: principle of determinism, principle of the unity of consciousness and activity (L.S. Vygotsky, A.N. Leontiev, V.A. Petrovsky D.B. Elkonin, et al.); the system approach: principle of systematicity, principle of development (B. G. Ananyev, A.Y. Varga, B.F. Lomov, I.M. Sechenov, et al.); the subject-activity approach: principle of relation between individual and social (K.A. Abulkhanova, A.V. Brushlinsky, A.L. Zhuravlev, S.L. Rubinstein, E.A. Sergienko, V.L. Slobodchikov, et al.). Research was conducted at a medical institution in Krasnoyarsk. The sample consisted of 20 physicians and 30 surgeons, giving a total of 50. All the doctors work at hospitals with patients. Their period of service ranges from five years and above. The following methods were applied during the research: the individual typological questionnaire created by L. N. Sobchik and the test on communicative and organizational aptitudes created by V.V. Sinyavsky and V.A. Fedoroshin. Research results. The research showed that surgeons possess a greater aptitude for types of behavior corresponding to leadership, nonconformity, conflict, and individualism. Physicians are more prone to types of behavior corresponding to individualism, conformism, and compromise. This suggests that the latter have a greater aptitude for interacting with patients in a productive manner. At the same time, the majority of doctors of both types (over 63 %) had ‘low’ and ‘below average’ level of communicative and organizational aptitudes. This indicates possible difficulties in communication with patients, which can be expressed in either a lack of desire to initiate communication or in avoidance of frequent direct contact. Conclusion. It has been concluded that one of the necessary conditions for effective ‘doctor and patient’ relationships is a well-developed communicative competence among doctors. Doctors experience less stress at work if they are able to efficiently communicate with patients, and, consequently, this reduces the risk of burnout.

Why does writing of the death penalty demand the first-person treatment that it also excludes? The article investigates the role played by the autobiographical subject in Derrida's The Death Penalty, Volume I, where the confessing ‘I’ doubly supplements the philosophical investigation into what Derrida sees as a trend toward the worldwide abolition of the death penalty: first, to bring out the harmonies or discrepancies between the individual subject's beliefs, anxieties, desires and interests with respect to the death penalty and the state's exercise of its sovereignty in applying it; and second, to provide a new definition of the subject as haunted, as one that has been, but is no longer, subject to the death penalty, in the light of the worldwide abolition currently underway.

The transition period of modern society can be observed in various aspects, particularly in the value-normative one. The study of the Genesis of the formation of personality’s value-based orientations in the current conditions of reforming educational sector in Ukraine and its integration into the European Higher Education Area are becoming prioritized. The research methodology is complex, combining theoretical and empirical methods. Theoretical study of the problem of values in philosophical-historical and psychological-pedagogical discourses creates a methodological basis for expanding the subject field of interdisciplinary branches of scientific knowledge: pedagogical axiology and philosophy of music education. The interdisciplinary context of the conceptual range of these disciplines makes it possible to modernize the value-based orientation in the content of art education. The problem of spiritual and value-based formation of the personality by means of music is actualized, which creates the prerequisites for the formation of a phenomenon of holistic professional worldview of future music teachers. The analysis of structural components of the outlined phenomenon shows that the normative and regulatory basis of professional worldview is a system of value-based orientations of the individual.
