<p>“Le Horla” nos presenta el diario del narrador para deleite del lector y desesperación de ambos. Los detalles aparentemente insignificantes, el entorno familiar transformado en ominoso, el dramatismo que aumenta con la lectura… todo ello conduce al lector y al protagonista a un sentimiento extremo y magistral de angustia. Frente al inicio casi bucólico, la historia nos lleva rápidamente al mundo de los fenómenos irracionales que desatan el miedo, el terror y la desesperación del protagonista; y el nuestro. Una presencia invisible le roba la energía, se sienta sobre su pecho, le atormenta. ¿Es una criatura desconocida? ¿Se se trata de la locura? ¿Es un vampiro psíquico? Maupassant escribió esta breve pero intensa y magistral narración, ofreciéndonos una entidad amenazante, una presencia que trasciende lo extraño.</p><p>In “Le Horla”, Guy de Maupassant introduces us a narrator who provides us with his diary to the delight of the reader and despair of both. The seemingly insignificant details intended to surprise the reader, the family environment that becomes ominous, the drama that increases with reading ... all this leads the reader and the protagonist to a feeling of extreme anxiety, as few authors have known to handle masterfully. Faced with the almost bucolic beginning, the story takes us quickly to the world of irrational phenomena that unleash the fear, anguish and despair of the protagonist; and ours. An invisible presence steals his energy, sits on his chest and torments him. Is it an unknown creature? Is it madness? Is it a psychic vampire? Maupassant wrote this brief but intense and masterful narration, offering us a threatening entity, a presence that transcends the strange.</p>

<p>Internet is one of advanced technology. In seconds information from anywhere in the world is very easy to access than before it was invented. It would be easily just by typing a single word trough media information searching. it will display the information we want, both the positive and negative information. The problem now is that children are also familiar with the Internet media. Therefore, parents must participate to control and supervise their children when they do surfing in cyberspace. In addition to intensive supervision, early moral development should be done, if we do not want to miss. Children have fundamental rights of life and education, including teaching right to obtain information, but certainly not all of the information that is given to them must be adapted to their age level. According to the Koran, the child can be grouped to four typologies, namely children as living jewelry world, children as a test, the child as an enemy, and the child as a light eye. This is where parents have an important role in the formation of character for her children. Parents are the first educators in the family environment. Father and mother have to share a role in nurturing their children. Both should help each other, hand in hand and compact so that the coaching process goes according to plan. The roles and stages in building character for children are for example first, to the children in the noble, second, to provide opportunities for children to practice the noble character, third, giving the responsibility in accordance with the child’s development, and the fourth, supervise and directing children to be selective in the mix.</p>

All civilized countries of the world in the question of the spirit of epileptics stopped at the device of agricultural colonies. Such institutions for epileptics exist already in all countries of the educated world: in America, England, France, Germany and others; they are not only in Russia in Russia. The author vividly describes the difficult situation of epileptics in the family environment, points to their great danger to society and clarifies the urgent need to seriously address the issue of the charity of these unfortunate patients.

Drug use is a behaviour frequently seen among adolescents. The World Drug Report draws attention to the increase in this phenomenon. The studies were undertaken to look for determinants that promote drug use and those that protect against reckless activities. It seems important to determine the causes of drug initiation. The presented study aimed to identify the determinants favouring first contact with drugs among adolescents. Eighteen respondents participated in the study. Purposive sampling was used and data were collected using categorized interviews. The exploratory nature of the interviews focused on obtaining information on three areas: family life, peer influences and the role of mass culture products. Education, financial background, and inquiries about life plans, dreams, and their realization were also recorded. The analysis of empirical data made it possible to establish interesting factors conducive to the respondents’ first contact with drugs both in the family environment, peer environment, but also related to popular culture, lifestyle, the influence of significant others, as well as to the dangers of the Internet. Established causes of drug initiations are indicated. The obtained results can be used in designing preventive interventions among adolescents. They can also be the basis for planning further studies with this group.

Abstract Purpose: This study aimed to determine the extent of the influence of gadgets on elementary school children, especially in the aspect of personality, as well as how parents' efforts in providing supervision and direction for their children. Research methodology: This type of research is qualitative with the case study method. The instruments used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, for data analysis, researchers used descriptive-analytic techniques. The data analyzed is then tested for validity using the credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. Results: The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of gadgets on children's personalities, including temperament, indifference, a fast-developing mindset without appropriate stages, love to share, and be creative. Limitations: This research is far from perfect; the author realizes that there are limitations in the research process, one of which is that the subject and object of research are only taken within the scope of the family. Contribution: This research is expected to be useful in the world of education, especially educators and the family environment as a reference in implementing digital parenting for their children. <p><strong>Abstract</strong><br />Nowadays, more and more people are turning to modern and contemporary style when it comes to choosing furniture for their homes, offices, restaurants, or hotels. In the past we might tend to back the use of natural elements, and one of the many popular products are bamboo. Bamboo as one of the most important non-timber forest products and fastest-growing plants in the world. As it known that bamboo craft is a folk craft products that has been around for a long time and developed hereditary, therefore we should preserve it. At first the user<br />of bamboo furniture is from the family environment which later evolved to reach a wider market. Many craftsmen developed an appreciation of the existing ones to create a new design that is estimated to sell in the market. The hope is to make<br />our bamboo furniture craft products can compete with the products of other countries.</p><p><br /><strong>Abstrak</strong><br />Saat ini semakin banyak orang yang beralih ke gaya modern dan kontemporer dalam memilih mebel untuk rumah tinggal mereka, kantor, restoran, atau bahkan hotel. Dahulu mungkin kita cenderung untuk memilih desain dan gaya klasik, tetapi sekarang ini orang cenderung kembali mempergunakan unsur-unsur alam, dan salah satu produk alam yang banyak digemari adalah bambu. Bambu sebagai salah satu produk non-kayu yang penting serta tanaman yang pertumbuhannya paling cepat di dunia. Seperti diketahui bahwa kerajinan bambu merupakan produk kerajinan rakyat yang telah ada sejak lama dan dikembangkan secara turun temurun, maka sudah<br />selayaknya hal ini perlu dilestarikan. Pada mulanya pemakai kerajinan mebel bambu hanyalah dari lingkungan keluarga yang kemudian berkembang hingga mencapai lingkungan pasar yang lebih luas. Banyak para pengrajin mengembangkan apresiasi yang sudah ada dengan membuat desain baru yang diperkirakan akan laku di pasaran. Harapannya adalah agar produk kerajinan mebel bambu negara kita dapat bersaing dengan produk negara lainnya.<br /><br /></p>

Education character has become an important issue in the world of education lately, with the increasing and varied phenomena of moral decadence occurring in society and in government circles, especially among students. The government pays less attention to fostering education character. The government is more focused on continuous curriculum reform. This condition will get worse if the government, parents and schools or madrasah receive less serious attention. Sufistic education character is an important approach to be applied to overcome these moral decadency phenomena. Therefore, this study aims to provide alternative solutions in realizing children's education character both in the family environment, school environment and social environment. In addition, in this study the author offers several concepts of education character with the Sufistic character of al-Ghazali as in the book of Mohajul Abidin: first, preserving the eyes. It is important for an individual to understand himself, his surroundings and the world, and to acquire the habit of reading. The child sees the world in the family, so the environment in which the child is first brought up is the family and parents. Since families are the first collective to influence the mental and physical development of children, their spiritual, cultural and moral qualities are also formed here for the first time. Along with all this, the child's acquisition of reading skills is closely related, first of all, to the efforts of teachers and the media, followed by the family. AbstractThe homicides committed by women make up between 5 and 15% of the total number of homicides recorded in the world. Studies based on the gender of the perpetrator have been uncommon due to the low level of prevalence of female homicide offenders, but this tendency is currently undergoing a change. Nonetheless, in general, there is still limited knowledge of the role of women in serious crime, which makes the task of criminal policy more difficult. Therefore, the present investigation seeks to perform a comparative analysis of the homicides committed by women (n = 56) with those committed by men (n = 521). The cases in this sample correspond to homicides solved in Spain by the Civil Guard between the years 2013 and 2018. The findings of the study show that homicides by women have distinctive characteristics, with 3 out of every 4 taking place in the family environment, and these being dominated by cases of filicide. The victims are underage males with some type of vulnerability and a mental disorder. The female perpetrators tend to have a partner and live with somebody, have a mental disorder and do not present a prior criminal record. With regard to the crime, homicides perpetrated by women take place in the afternoon, without witnesses and in residences; when it comes to the criminal behaviours, they use weapons of opportunity, above all asphyxiating methods, they alter the scene and do not flee from the scene of the crime.

Current problems in various regions make the world of higher education think of doing many things. The most pressing problems now are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT), which is increasingly troubling, drugs and other immoral acts that are increasingly worrying about the world of higher education. This is the problem that makes education in Indonesia focus on the character field. One program that can strengthen the national identity in higher education in learning Minangkabau Culture. The purpose of this study is to apply Contextual Learning (CTL) in learning character values ​​in Minangkabau culture and strengthen the national identity of students. The method used in writing is a literature study, the author tries to develop a contextual learning model which is examined from various relevant references. The results of this study were to use CTL learning to provide independence for students to identify character values ​​derived from the values ​​of life in the family environment or in the community in the Minangkabau community. Besides this learning model instills character values ​​directly through habituation that applies in Minangkabau cultural customs by participating in community activities, including collaborative activities or community meetings that are able to foster a character of tolerance and cooperation. Through CTL in learning Minangkabau Culture that contains character values ​​found in the family or Minangkabau community that can be a reinforcement of national identity. Masalah yang paling mendesak saat ini adalah Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual dan Transgender (LGBT), yang semakin meresahkan, obat-obatan dan tindakan amoral lainnya yang semakin mengkhawatirkan dunia pendidikan tinggi. Inilah masalah yang membuat pendidikan di Indonesia fokus pada bidang karakter. Salah satu program yang dapat menjadikan penguatan dalam identitas kebangsaan dalam pendidikan tinggi pada pembelajaran Budaya Minangkabau. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan pembelajaran kontekstual (Contextual Learning/CTL) dalam pembelajaran nilai-nilai karakter dalam budaya Minangkabau serta memperkuat identitas nasional mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan adalah studi literatur, penulis mencoba mengembangkan model pembelajaran kontekstual yang ditelaah dari berbagai referensi yang relevan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pembelajaran CTL untuk memberikan kemandirian bagi mahasiswa untuk mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai karakter yang berasal dari nilai-nilai kehidupan di lingkungan keluarga atau di masyarakat dalam masyarakat Minangkabau. Selain itu model pembelajaran ini menanamkan nilai karakter secara langsung melalui pembiasaan yang berlaku dalam adat budaya Minangkabau dengan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan masyarakat, termasuk kegiatan kerja sama atau pertemuan warga yang mampu menumbuhkan karakter toleransi dan kerja sama. Melalui CTL dalam pembelajaran Budaya Minangkabau yang berisi nilai-nilai karakter yang ditemukan dalam keluarga atau masyarakat Minangkabau yang dapat menjadi penguat identitas bangsa.
